The Tangle Teaser

Hey lovelies,

I thought I'd show you one of my latest purchases, the Tangle Teaser. Most of you have probably seen that I've recently had my hair ombred. I did have a slight bit done on the ends of my hair last August, but in January, I decided to take the plunge & go three-quarters blonde! I'm not going to go into the ombre-ing routine as I'm sure you all know what it is, but for those of you who don't, they bleach your hair. It basically removes all the colour from the hair, leaving it a light blonde (sometimes yellowy) colour depending on how long the bleach is left on. Obviously doing this makes the hair very brittle & you have to take extra care of it. I've found as well, blonde hair is a lot more knotty & gets tangled easier. Does anyone else find this?

So, anyway, after a couple of weeks of my new hair & after splitting ends, knots & bits snapping off from using a normal hairbrush, I decided to invest in the Tangle Teaser.

I've heard so many good things about this product, it was hard not to resist after the promise of; de-tangling hair easily, teeth that bend on knots so not to rip hair apart, stress-free tangle removing that doesn't pull on hair leaving it with split ends, can be used on dry or wet hair & (not that I have extensions) but can be used on them too.

After I wash my hair, it's so tangled even after conditioning it because it's so thick.

I start to work the Tangle Teaser through my hair, one side at a time.

I absolutely love the shape of the brush, it's so easy to hold.

One side done..

& finished!

My hair is still uncontrollable at times, but this brush does help to rid it of tangles & knots.

The cheapest one I found was £9.95 on Amazon & they come in a range of colours, but alternatively I know Boots do them online & in store for £10.99.

Have you tried this brush? What did you think?

Recent Nail Art

Hey lovelies. : )

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you'll know I paint my nails alot. I love coming up with designs & themes, so I thought I'd put together some of my recent nails for you to see.

NYC Mint Macaroon & Models Own nail art pen in white

I love polka dot nails. There's something so simple & elegant about them & they are so easy to do. I love the pastel colours, especially as we're now heading into Spring, so I picked up this green the other day along with a clear top coat from NYC. I've never really looked at their shades before, they do some quite pretty ones.

No7 Me! Me! Me! Barbara Daly White & Models Own art pen in white & pink

Now obviously these were themed for Valentines day! The original plan for these nails were a red base coat & white polka dots, but sadly I found my faithful Barry M red had complete dried up & died over the Winter months, so pink it was. (Matched my toes, so I couldn't complain!) Again, I used polka dots as they are just too cute & a heart, for obvious Valentine reasoning!

Models Own Utopia & Primark glitter top coat

These are my current nails. I love Utopia, it has to be one of my absolute favourite nail varnishes I own. Any sort of glitter goes well as a top coat but it looks stunning by itself as well. The glitter top coat I'd forgotten I had.. I got it from Primark in a set of four for Christmas (I've thrown the box away & there isn't a name on the pot - sort it out Primark!) It's a gorgeous glitter though, made up of blue & pink sparkles. I can already tell it's going to be a pain to remove though..

Honey looking very cute / Chinese night / FOTD / NOTW / Sunshine & hair craziness / Pancakes & chocolate / Love this necklace / Messy bun for work / Night out #1 / Night out #2 / Beefeater with the boy / Beanie day / Valentine's nails / Heart playsuit / Rose from James / Presents! / Our hotel room / Before dinner / Polka dot NOTW / Pancakes with Dan / Trying out the new Apocolips / Kumal looking very tiger-ish / Straight hair! / Apparently this is coming back with James from France.. : D

Gosh I think I need to do these posts more often.. either that or I take way too many photos..

So Valentines day was actually the highlight of this post. I went away with James to a gorgeous hotel & spa about a two hour drive from us, towards the coast. It was beautiful, complete with swimming pool, sauna & jacuzzi. I wish I could have taken photos of our dinner, but it was too posh to have phones at the dinner table! We had champagne, chicken salad to start, beef for main & finished off with about seven puddings. No seriously, seven puddings! It was a sharing dish that came out with chocolate profiteroles, fudge cake, caramel souffle & ice cream to name a few. I also got given a rose when we arrived. So so so perfect. : D

Apart from that, work has been keeping me busy. After tomorrow, I'm on shift for 2 weeks, then off to see my best friend at uni for her 22nd birthday.

How are you all? I'm off to visit my grandparents this afternoon then rushing into town before work to get my fringe cut. Why do fringes grow so fast!?

Lush List

Topshop Geek Hoodie - I know everyone in the world has the geek top from Topshop, but I actually prefer the hoodie & it's not much more expensive. It comes in a range of colours like the top, but I always seem to be drawn to grey. We have a very beautiful relationship. : )

Heart Sunglasses - These are for a bit of fun for the Summer to brighten up a boring look. I've never really been into sunglasses, but I thought these looked cool.

Leather Studded Bag - This is probably the worst picture of this bag, but if you click on the link, you'll see how gorgeous it is. It has studs lining the bottom & only £15!

JLS Eau De Toilette - Ahhh heaven in a bottle. I got JLS' other perfume for Christmas & now they've bought this one out. I haven't smelt it yet, but their other one was gorgeous, so I'm hoping this one is too.

Mesh Floral Jumper - I saw this on Lily's blog & knew it was going straight onto my wishlist. I think I might chose the dusty pink version, like Katy's, or maybe both?

New Look Black Wedges - These are currently in the sale but only size 9 are left! I can't believe it, they are perfect. Especially love the fur trimming.

What's currently on your wish list? : )

Legend

Topshop have had a sale = my life completed. : )

I managed to find this lipstick, buried at the bottom of the sale basket, right when I was coming out of Topshop. Being a bright barbie pink, I had to snatch it up.

Usually Topshop lipsticks hate my lips. They instantly show all the cracks & un-even skin & turn a chalky texture despite all the amazing reviews I've heard about them. I thought I'd try the Louise Gray range to see if they were any better. Answer, yes! I tend to go for lipsticks that are moisturising & not drying for my lips, this one is perfect. It's a beautiful pigmented shade, that instantly brightens up any look.

Have you tried any of the Louise Gray range? I'm tempted to stock up on the lipsticks!
