What I'm Taking To Lanzarote

Source
Hello lovelies!

So I'm off to Lanzarote with James! I'm literally buzzing! Our flight is at 15:30 today.. so I thought I'd put this final post together before we jet off for the week : )

Kaftan
This is a must for walking to the beach or getting to the pool from your hotel. I'm taking two with me, one red polka dot one & the other a beautiful turquoise.

Kimono
I have a serious obsession with kimonos at the moment. They are perfect for English weather.. when it's hot, it's never that hot & you'll always need something to use as a cover up in the evenings. I'm mostly going to be wearing these in the evenings when it gets a bit cooler.

Bikinis
Maybe the most obvious item on this list but something every girl must have when they go on holiday! I'm actually taking 4/5 with me (we're only going for a week but I'll definitely get my wear out of them all!)

Flip Flops
Again, obvious but necessary! One black pair & one white.

Sun Cream
I'm taking ALOT of this. In Boots recently (not sure if the offer is still on) but they have sun cream at half price. I managed to pick up two medium sized bottles & a after sun that's a spray on. Perfect as I hate feeling all sticky from applying lotion.

Sunnies
We're going to be doing a lot of sitting by the pool side & on the beach so sunnies are a must.

Kindle
I only recently got my Kindle but now I wouldn't be without it! I've recently downloaded the 'Now' Series (rom com) & The Fault In Our Stars. I've heard the book is amazing despite being a tear jerker! Maybe not the best holiday read but I want to read it before seeing the film!

Are you going away this year? What are you taking on holiday with you?

See you all in a week!

Life At The Moment #58

Hello lovelies,

Let's start with the most exciting news of the year.. one of my best girlies is engaged! I was so over-whelmed I burst into tears at the pub when she announced it. I swear I'm going to need a bucket in the church so I don't drown everyone.. hahaha. Congrats again babe! : D

If you saw my last post, you'll have seen I took part in Race For Life with my work ladies on 8th June. We managed to raise over £500 & still counting!

I finally got some time off work to spend time with these two cuties. We had a picnic in the garden the end of last week when the weather was still semi-decent. Was so nice to have a chilled day.

Now, whether your into football or not, you would have found it impossible to avoid the world cup recently. James is so into it he's been trying to watch every game (not just England matches.. every match..) I'm not really fussed to be honest, but thought I should make some effort to support our country.. & how does every beauty blogger portray this? That's right.. painting their nails!

This was an outfit a few weeks back for a family BBQ. You can see all the details & a full post here. : )

Awwwwwh, look who was born last week. This little cutie was hatched by one of our hens but unfortunately the males weren't too happy with him, so he's come home to be with our hand-reared chicks.

& finally.. IT'S HOLIDAY TIME IN 4 DAYS!
If you didn't already know, myself & James are jetting off to Lanzarote next Monday for a week. I'm so excited. : )

Hope you're all well lovelies, are you off on any summer holidays this year?

Race For Life 2014

Morning lovelies!

On the 8th June 2014, myself & the ladies from work took part in Race For Life. Something I'd never done before & I can't understand why. If you've never heard nor know what happens at Race For Life, it's a course sponsored by Cancer Research & you either run / jog / walk or dance a distance of 5K or 10K. We had the most fabulously hot day for it (it was actually on the point of being way too hot..) but the atmosphere.. I can't describe to you how amazing it was.

Before you start, you have a welcome on stage & stories from people who are fighting cancer or have survived it. Our story came from a little girl, aged six, who was fighting cancer. Her mum was going to run the Race For Life, whilst pushing her in her buggy round the course as she can currently only walk a few steps at a time. It was heart-breaking but also so up-lifting as she actually managed to over take us & was cheering the whole way round. Makes me well up just thinking about it!

Right, time for some pictures.. : )

Sitting on William's bench before the race

Nearly ready to go..

Let's do this!

We did it!
I can't explain to you how emotional & proud you are when you finish. There are no words. I'd encourage everyone & anyone to take part if you can. : )

Oh & just want to say a massive thankyou to everyone who came to support us & sponsored us - so far we've managed to raise over £500 as a group & over £155,000 in our local area!

AMAZING!

OOTD - Playtime

Playsuit, hat & sunnies - Primark / Shoes - Dorothy Perkins / Necklace & watch - Amazon / Nails - Models Own Hyper Gel

I don't know about you, but I love Summer. And I love playsuits. And hats.

I wore this to a family BBQ last weekend, it was the perfect outfit! I've recently gone off denim, especially shorts & even though I love my skinny jeans, sometimes I can't be dealing with the tightness, especially in the heat!

Oh.. & please ignore my deathly white legs..

Myself & James are off to Lanzarote next Monday (SQUEE) so hopefully I can top up my tan then!

& I can't leave this post without mentioning my new hat. Again, this was bought for holiday & to be worn constantly to hide my frizzy hair!

Have you been or are going on holiday this year?
Please comment below with links to your holiday posts! I'd love to see where you've been on your travels! : )

Nails #15

Nails Inc - Covent Garden & Claire's Accessories Nail Stickers
Absolutely lovin' these cute nail stickers from Claire's Accessories to jazz up your nails. They look so pretty with pastel shades.

Barry M Gelly Shine - Sugar Apple
If you saw my last post, you'd know how obsessed I am with Barry M at the moment. Especially their Gelly range. The shades are so beautiful & amazingly pigmented.

Barry M Gelly Shine - Pomegranate
This one is becoming my favourite shade for the Summer. I'm in love with pinky reds. They can totally make an outfit.

Barry M - Pale Blue
One of my all time favourites again. Such a classic blue.

Barry M - Peach Melba
I think every blogger owns this shade by Barry M! I couldn't resist digging it out of my collection again this year. So perfect for Spring.

Models Own - Indian Ocean & Rimmel London - Disco Ball
This combination just makes me think of the sea & I like to think I'm a mermaid when I'm wearing it. Sad? Maybe.. but it is a gorgeous combination! : )

Hope you're all well lovelies!
