Life At The Moment #59

Hello lovelies!

So much has happened over the past month.. I thought I'd do a bit of a re-cap post!

First of all, I've been on two holidays! The first one being Lanzarote. Oh my goodness. There are no words to how amazing that week was. Myself & James jetted off for a week at the end of June to the beautiful location of Costa Teguise. I've done a full post about our adventures & another on my outfits I wore while we were out there if you want to check them out.

The beginning of this month, I went on my first girl's holiday to the Isle Of White with four of my best ones. This photo was taken on our final night when we went out for dinner. Again, I've written a full post about our trip if you want to read about all the beautiful places we visited.

Remember me saying in my last update post Elisa got engaged? We managed to get everyone together & suited up for her & Jamie's engagement meal at a gorgeous restaurant in town. Was such a good evening, with way too much food consumed.

Unless you've been living under a rock these past two months, you wouldn't have been able to escape the World Cup. James has to be one of the world's dedicated football supporters I know, which meant we had to watch most of the matches.. (even when it was countries I'd never heard of & I'm sure he hadn't either..) Anyway, we decided to do a completion with his family. You got points for predicting the correct score & bonuses for guessing if it went to penalties etc. & guess who won.. ME! I find this hilarious as I literally wrote random numbers.. but look! I got wine! : D

Finally, I went to get my hair done today. I had my ombre done a year & a half ago, so it needed a freshen up! I've gone for a lighter blonde at the ends & blended it in more at the back. So pleased with it. : )

How have you all been?
Enjoying this gorgeous weather?

Isle Of White!

Hello lovelies!

If you've ever been to the Isle Of White, you'll know what a beautiful island it is. For me, it's special because it's full of childhood memories. My family & I would go once a year, either for a few days or a week in the Summer & visit all the unique little villages & sight-seeing spots it has to offer. This year however, after realising one of my best girls had never been before & another had only been when she was 5 & couldn't remember it, we decided to organise a girls holiday & jet off to the exotic island ; D

We stayed in a place called Gurnard Pines, it was self-catered accommodation. We also had the option to use the swimming pool whenever we liked. Mostly the weather was beautiful, we had one day of rain, which meant we had an excuse to snuggle in front of the TV & watch rom-coms after a leisurely swim in the indoor pool.

Here are a few snaps of our adventures;

Mini Haul - Accessorize & Claire's Accessories

Hello lovelies, how are you all?

I thought I'd show you a few bits & pieces I've picked up recently.

Cat face mask, Accessorize - £3 (sale)

How adorable is this?! I showed James & he got a bit freaked out that I was going to wear it in bed every night which made me laugh.. think he was a bit scared of it. But I mainly bought it with the intention of wearing it on a plane or travelling. When we went to Lanzarote last week, we came home on a late flight where I tried for ages to sleep. Unfortunately, the lights in the plane were on quite brightly, so I found it near impossible to drift off. I also get a bit freaked out with people watching me sleep, so in a weird way, it makes me feel they can't see me as much, you know? I'm probably being weird.. but it was just too cute to not get it in this cute print as well!

Set of 5 nail art pens, Accessorize - £6 (sale)

I love doing my nails as you all know if you've been a reader of my blog for a while, but I sadly don't own many nail art pens. I have a black, white & pink but it limits what I can create. These were such a bargain at half price (originally £12) I had to grab them! As you can see, they are a matte finish which doesn't really bother me either way but it'll be interesting to see how they appear on the nails.

Blusher, Accessorize - £2.50 (sale)

This is a baked blusher in the shade Quiver. I'm going to do a full review on this but I was on the hunt for a new blusher for a while so thought I'd give this one ago. Have you tried any of their blushers? I'd be interested to hear what you think.

Earrings, Claire's Accessories - £1.50 (sale)

I adore staple earrings for an evening out & as I hadn't bought earrings for what felt like the longest time, I just had to pick these up!

What have you bought recently? Any good bargains? : )

Lanzarote In Outfits

Hello lovelies!

I thought I'd show you a few of the outfit snaps we managed to take in Lanzarote. You'll have to excuse the mess I look half the time. I have no idea how people look so glamorous in 27 degree heat.. I could barely keep my mascara on for an evening while we had dinner..

Anyway! Hope you enjoy : )

Kimono & belt - New Look / Maxi dress - Select Fashion

This was the outfit I wore on our official first night. (First night we arrived, we were too late for dinner so went straight to our room!) We decided the beach was too gorgeous to resist so we headed down for a late night walk. I basically lived in this kimono over the week, it's so easy to throw on to jazz up an outfit.

Sunnies & dress - Primark

This was the outfit I wore for our day out at the Submarine Safari. I got it in the Primark sale last month & the print is to die for. You can't see it very well here I know but it's covered in a jungle style print, featuring a lot of parrots & colourful trees!

Kimono - Select Fashion / Dress & belt - BooHoo / Vest top - Primark

This was another late night walk after dinner. I've had this dress about 2/3 years, but it's the perfecr print for Summer. & how adorable is this kimono! One of my favourite items I took with me.

Dress - ASOS

& finally our last night at the hotel & my favourite dress. Again, this was after dinner on our balcony over looking the sea. This dress is perfect in every way for me; the colour, lace detailing & shape just make it one of my favourite evening dresses.

Remember to check out my previous post to see more Lanzarote pictures & adventures if you missed it! : )

Lanzarote!

Hello lovelies!

I'm back from my holiday, I can't believe how fast it went! We spent most of the week relaxing on the beach, around the hotel & stuffing our faces with food. Being all inclusive, it just makes you want to eat anything & everything that's laid out for you!

We did one trip out half way through the week. It was a submarine safari that took you to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean to view two shipwrecks & millions of fish! I can't describe to you how amazing that was. The sea there is so beautiful & clear (& surprisingly warm).

The hotel we stayed at was gorgeous. It was a 20minute coach ride from the airport & had a private entrance just below our room to the beach. Most evenings after dinner, we couldn't resist taking a late night stroll by the sea.

I took around 450 photos over the whole week.. don't worry.. I haven't included them all! Here are just a few snaps : )
