Lush - Over & Over Bath Bomb

Hello lovelies,

Today's post is all about this beautiful bath bomb, called Over & Over.

"No it’s not all in your head. This enlivening cocoa butter coated lime and fennel oil bomb will perk you up and leave you thinking ‘bout it over and over again. Be mesmerised by its hypnotic rocking and rolling, as a vibrant citrus firework of pinks, oranges and golds unfurls into your bath."

I know I say this in most of my reviews, but how beautiful is this bath bomb? The colours it produces just amazed me.

When you pop the bath bomb into the water, it starts rolling around (over & over surprisingly!) & starts producing yellow & pink bubbles across the surface of the water. After about 5 minutes or so, you start to see some oranges coming through, quite subtle at first, but if you swish the water around, the bath is bright orange underneath the pink, yellow & white surface.

What I loved most about this bath bomb was how long it lasted. Some of Lush's products whizz around the bath for a few minutes & don't tend to last very long, but this one I was seriously impressed with.

It has a gorgeous scent (I'm afraid I'm terrible at describing it) but it's quite citrus-y & refreshing. It reminded me on lemonade!

My skin felt very soft after using this bomb, as unlike some of Lush's bath bombs, this one acts as a bath oil as well, similar to Never Mind The Ballistics, which I loved!

It retails for £4.25 & I can't wait to head back to Lush to pick up another one!

Have you tried this bath bomb? What did you think?

Oxford Street Lush Haul

Hello lovelies,

Myself & my lovely friend Lorna went to Oxford Street in London & we couldn't resist going into Lush. They have three floors crammed with new & exciting product just waiting to be smelt! We had a guided tour by a lovely member of staff & of course, that meant only one thing.. buying way more products than we intended on getting!

First of all, this shower cream. This is the first time I've tried The Comforter when it hasn't been in the form of a bubble bar, but I'm just addicted to the scent, so thought I'd pick up the shower cream. It'll be perfect for Autumn / Winter when you want something uplifting & homely to shower with in the colder months.

& The Comforter bubble bar, one of my absolute favourites! If you haven't smelt it, it's one of the most delicious scents Lush have made (in my opinion!) It smells just like black current juice!

I've smelt this bubble bar many times & always really liked it but have never picked it up before! I'm really into my citrus scents this year so this bubble bar is perfect for me. Also, who can resist a bright orange bath!?

I hadn't heard much about this bath bomb until Lorna told me it was one of her favourites & I just HAD to try it. Because of it's appearance, I always thought it would produce a lemony scent, which I'm not too keen on, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover it actually smells very appley. It also produces another bright colour when used in the bath.. (all to be revealed soon!)

These final three products are bath oils & are unique to the Oxford Street store. (sorry no links!)

Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment Bath Oil
This little bath oil was actually gifted to myself & Lorna. The lady who was giving us the tour in Lush noticed that we both loved this one when we were hunting around the shop for our goodies. It smells just like sweeties & is perfect for me. As you would have seen in my recent Boots Haul, I'm a sucker for sweet scented products..

Razzle Dazzle Bath Oil
This little ball of glittery goodness won my heart because of the scent (& maybe the fact it's pink & sparkly helped draw me in too..) You can guess by the name it has a very strong raspberry scent to it & feels very greasy to hold. I can't wait to try this one - I have a feeling it's going to make my skin very soft!

Floating Island Bath Oil
This one smells like chocolate. I kid you not. Even though you can smell vanilla as well, all I can think is white chocolate when I smell it. Maybe it's appearance has something to do with it. It's supposed to be a very relaxing bath oil, that makes your skin incredibly soft. I'll let you know the results when I try it!

I'll be doing individual reviews on these product when I use them so keep an eye out for that over the next few months : )

Oh & I have to mention again just how fabulous the Lush staff are. They seriously pay attention to every detail that your saying while informing you about the products. The seem to have knowledge about all of the products they are selling & know exactly what would suit you best. Myself & Lorna had a lovely time visiting the shop in Oxford Street & I'd highly recommend visiting if you haven't already!

Have you tried any of Lush's new range? What's your ultimate favourite product? : )

What I've Been Lovin' This Week

Hello lovelies,

I wanted to share with you a few things that have made me smile this week. As Friday was International Day Of Happiness, I thought it was a perfect time to share this post with you : )

Lily's post about how to feel happier right this second was an eye opener. I happened to stumble across her post on a down day & it instantly lifted my mood. Worth a read when you're struggling to find ways to get out of a rut.

I found this mug cake recipe & it instantly made me feel happy. I like things like that. I've mentioned before that I'm hopeless at cooking & finding a recipe that I read & think 'I could probably do that' is a rare thing, but just the look of this makes me want to try it!

I'm addicted to baths. When I'm stressing out, I instantly try to think of a way to plan a bath into my schedule. Not always possible, but when it is, my brain & body completely relax & I feel happy. I managed to squeeze a few in this week & they made such a difference.

Reading Becca's blog the other day, I came across this website called Save On Makeup. Oh my lord, I don't think my bank balance is going to like me after a purchase.. or two..

Yes, as simple as that. I have discovered some gems this month & some favourites that I'll follow as long as they make videos. There's just something fascinating about vlogs of people's every day lives that I can't get enough of.

What are you loving this week? : )

The Melting Snowman

Evening girls, hope you're all well.

I wanted to show you my Melting Snowman I got from Lush last week. Isn't he the cutest thing? : )

I didn't actually want to put him in the bath - his little face was so adorable. Haha. This little guy cost me £1.95 from Lush, which isn't bad considering some of the similar items cost alot more. He is a bath melt, (guess I should have known that being a 'melted' snowman but I thought he'd be like a bath bomb that fizzes), but he just slowly melts away at the bottom of your bath.

Because he's white, he doesn't really turn the bath a different colour, it just goes slightly cloudy.

I took him out the bath to see how dissolved he was & this is what he looked like:

Made me laugh. : D

He smells of marzipan & after my bath, my skin felt so soft & smelt delicious. Definitely buying this again. : )

------------------------------------

So I'm off to Leicester tomorrow! I'm so excited. Haven't really got much planned for the weekend yet but I know I'm seeing Cathy (one of my best friends from secondary school) who goes to uni in Nottingham on Sunday. Hopefully do a bit of shopping & have some lunch.

I'll hopefully be back blogging again by Tuesday,  have a good weekend & I'll talk to you soon girls!
