My New Hair

Boohoo dress & shoes / Primark bag & sunnies / Accessorize necklace

Hello lovelies!

Today I had my hair cut.

A little bit of a back story; I've had long hair since I was little. I remember saying to my mum "I'm going to grow it & never have it cut" which actually wasn't too far from the truth. Every time I seemed to go to the hairdressers, (which wasn't often!) I used to panic & be terrified they'd cut off way too much & quite a few times, it definitely felt like that. I'd sit in the chair & nod when they asked if it was how I wanted it when inside I was screaming "I'M BASICALLY BALD!" Of course I wasn't & they'd literally trimmed it, but I was so obsessed with keeping my length it got a bit out of control.

The day before my 22nd birthday, I decided to get my hair ombre-ed. I'd wanted my hair dip-dyed for a long time, so I thought why not. I've only ever dyed my hair with the wash in wash out colours you get from the drug stores, but as I felt brave, I decided to just go for it. I did love it at the time, but looking back, I basically look totally blonde (cringe at that old post btw!)

I let the ombre grow out until last summer where I "topped it up" but only had half my hair bleached this time. Unless you've had your hair bleached, you never know how damaging it can be. It got to the point (noticeably over the last few months but I'm sure it had been doing damage for longer) that it was so tatty, it looked a complete mess. The only thing for it was to start all over again.

So here we go. I couldn't completely get rid of my ombre, I think my hair would be boring without it tbh! But I'm so much happier with the feel of my hair. I think shorter hair makes me look more my age (24 as opposed to a rebellious teenager with out of control hair!) I just came out of the hair dressers smiling & felt like a massive weight had been lifted off my shoulders (literally haha!)

My advice to anyone thinking of getting their hair cut but not sure about it, just do it! It'll always grow back & be so much healthier. Sometimes we just need to be brave & go for these things! : )

OOTD - Easter Bunny

Hello lovelies,

Hope you're all well : )

I haven't done an OOTD for absolutely ages! I wanted to show you what I wore to lunch with my grandparents on Easter Sunday. I was lucky enough to get the day off work, so my parents, Auntie & Uncle went to visit my Grandparents. I did a full post on the day which you can read here if you like : )

It seems silly to me looking back at this outfit 2 weeks later as I'm now sitting in 24 degree heat in my garden, wearing shorts & a tee & here I am in a leather jacket, jumper & tights. Crazy English weather.

Anyway, the outfit. I picked up this rabbit jumper in the Primark sale for £7 & thought it would be perfect for Easter (& when I'm having a lazy day round the house with leggings!) My trusty leather jacket from Select Fashion never leaves my side these days. It's just the perfect jacket to throw on over any outfit & is a lot cooler than a winter coat.

This beautiful floral skirt is actually a dress from New Look & I thought it would go in perfect contrast with the biker boots & jacket. I got these boots from Primark for Christmas last year & adore them! They just add character to an outfit without being too OTT.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend! I wrote a full post on my Easter nails & our adventures over the 4 day weekend if you'd like to read, just follow the links.

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend : )

OOTD - Foxy Lady

Hat - Ebay / Smock fox dress - ASOS / Tights & belt - Primark / Converse - Schuh / Nails - Accessorize, Blackberry / Rings - Etsy & F. Hinds / Watch - F. Hinds / Lipstick - Star Pink
 Morning lovelies!

This was my outfit a few days ago when I went into town to meet the girls for a catchup & some pancakes! Can you believe it was actually sunny when I first started taking these photos, then the clouds came over. Gah hurry up Spring! Anyway, on to the outfit! I'm absolutely in love with this new smock dress I got from ASOS. I picked it up in the sale (I remember it being massive among bloggers a few months back) & I can easily see why. I do really like the over-sized smock look, but this one resembles a tent! I paired it with a old trusty Primark belt & converse to give it a chilled vibe. Also, I can't fail to mention my new hat. How adorable is this?! I managed to find one on Ebay, as none of the ones I'd previously found in any high street stores had been calling my name. I picked this one up for around £7 (that included postage) Such a bargain.

I went to a Customer Training Course yesterday up in London. You have no idea how scared & important I felt! Most of you know, I work in my local theatre / cinema & so the idea of the course was to get new ideas for up-selling & understanding customer behaviour. It was actually very interesting, & although I was so so so nervous (mainly about the course but also the travelling up there) I had the most lovely people around me that I was so grateful for. I'm actually excited to go into work today & try out the new ideas.. it must have been a good course eh? : )

& finally, lent has begun. It's totally snuck up on me this year, I haven't even thought about what to give up..
Have you given up anything?

Ombre Hair

Hey lovelies!

So you might remember me posting a while ago, saying I'd finally booked my hair appointment. But not just any hair appointment. An ombre appointment. Dun dun dunnnnn!

As wimpy as this sounds, I've actually wanted ombre hair ever since I started blogging. I think the original culprit for getting me addicted was Zoe - I always remember going onto her blog & just falling in love with her hair more & more each time. (sounds weird I know!) Also, Lily - who's blog has been one of my favs since the beginning.

I guess you can say ombre hair went on my 'wish list' because of these ladies & many other bloggers. I'd always comment & say how gorgeous it looked, but I was never brave enough to take the step of getting it done. Until last week!

I have really long hair & it's taken me ages to get it to this length. I was terrified of having it done, it going wrong & having to chop the whole lot off. Luckily, that didn't happen & I love it. I'm actually tempted to have more done.

So.. what do you think?

I seriously couldn't be more in love with it. : )

Do you have ombre hair? Or want it?
