Guest Posting - Emily

So today is my birthday - I'm 21!

& I thought it would be perfect to have one of my beautiful best friends guest post for you. You'll probably remember Emily guest posting back in September when I went on holiday to Spain. Please check out her blog, she is amazing. : )

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone!

First off, I want to wish my gorgeous friend Cat a very happy 21st birthday! Make sure you all send her lots of birthday wishes :-)

Add caption
You might remember me from my last guest post for One Hand in My Pocket. Well, I'm back today to post on a slightly different theme, because it's fun to mix things up a bit, isn't it?!

I went out for lunch with Cat and a couple of our friends recently and of course we discussed our Christmas gifts. I mentioned to Cat that I was given a huge trunk of Soap and Glory products from my uncle, so she suggested I do a little review post for you all!

I've chosen my three favourite products from the collection as you can see, there were loads to choose from!

I had a little gander on the Soap and Glory website as I'd never used any of their products before. There's so much to choose from and all really reasonably priced too! I just love the play on words they use to title each item-it really sets them apart from other (more boring) brands. Most of the products I looked at online consistently got four or five star reviews from users which is great and certainly well-deserved :-)

So, without further ado, I bring you my thoughts on three of my favourite S&G products. Enjoy!

This is a daily Vitamin C face wash with skin-brightening complex-according to the label! I don't normally use foaming face washes as I tend to prefer 3-in-1 wipes, mainly because they're quicker and easier (and I can often be a bit lazy when it comes to skin care!) But I thought I'd give this one a go :-)

This is honestly a pleasure to use. A small blob is enough to cleanse the entire face and it lathers up well without becoming overly foamy, which is one of the things I can't stand about some face washes. There are tiny beads in the wash that gently exfoliate at the same time as washing, so I feel like I'm getting 2 products for the price of 1 (not that I actually paid for it, but you know what I mean!)

I've used this wash for about two weeks now and I have already noticed a difference in my skin. I've always had fairly normal skin that can occasionally get a bit dry, especially around my nose, but since using "Face Soap and Clarity", my face feels much softer and definitely looks brighter and healthier.
The wash looks and smells gorgeous too; with it's tiny pink exfoliating beads and fruity scent, it's the ultimate girly face product!

And, as it says on the tube, "dictionary be damned, it will do a bang-up job at washing your face!"
"Mist You Madly" Body Spray RRP: £6

I love, love, love this scented body mist! Normally I stick to eau de toilettes rather than mists as the former lasts longer, normally all day, so no re-application is neccessary. That said, despite it not lasting all day, this body spray has such a gorgeous smell that having to re-apply doesn't really matter to me. According to the S&G site, they offer a mini bottle as well as this 250ml, so it's easy enough to pop into your handbag, ready for you when you want to refresh the scent :-)

The scent itself is really lovely-a very pretty, powdery smell with a light touch of musk to it, it not only smells great on the body but left my bedroom smelling yummy as well! Bonus! It gives quite a generous amount of the scent when you spritz it as well, so I imagine it would last a while.

Let's be honest, the real reason I'm in love with this spray is the name. Come on, "Mist You Madly"?! It's so cutesie and fun and at just £6, well worth a buy! When I run out, I'll certainly be buying more :-)

I have to admit, I'm a little bit obsessed with this gloss!

I've never been a lip gloss gal really; I tend to prefer lipsticks. There's literally nothing worse than when the wind blows your hair and it gets stuck to your glossy lips-yuck!!

The "Sexy Mother Pucker" gloss (apart from having a supremely awesome name!) isn't sticky, much to my delight! It's slick and shimmery with a lovely, subtle peachy tone (the shade is called Candy Gloss), but it's certainly not sticky like some glosses I've tried in the past.

Ooh and it tastes yum! There's a scrummy vanilla flavour which I can taste whenever I lick my lips :-) Just remember you can't eat it!

Be warned-there's a surprise in store with this product...one that I wasn't prepared for!

When I put this gloss on for the first time, I discovered that it causes the lips to go delightfully tingly! I'm assuming this is the lip-plumping magic getting to work as it leaves the lips looking fuller and very kissable ;-)

I wasn't expecting the tingle so it was a pleasant surprise, making this gloss extra fun! I'm sorely tempted to sample some of the other shades in this gloss...

I'm giving the "Sexy Mother Pucker" gloss five stars as, so far, I haven't found anything negative! Go Soap and Glory!
I'm not ashamed to confess, I have officially become an S&G convert (see? I'm already abbreviating their name!) The three products I've already tried and tested have been enough to show me just how fab a brand this is! I can't wait to try out the "Calm One, Calm All" bubble bath and the "Clean on Me" shower gel. With names like that, what's not to love?!
I hope I've managed to convert a few of you lovely readers as well, or at least tempted you into trying some of these products out for yourselves. I promise you, you won't regret it!
Thanks for reading everyone and thank you Cat for letting me ramble on your blog ;-) Happy 21st gorgeous!!

Guest Posting - Katie

Morning ladies, welcome to my final guest blogger Katie! I absolutely love her blog & she is the sweetest girl you could ever ask to meet. We are so similar (if you read on you'll see I love almost everything she does!) Tea & JLS? This girl is just amazing. ; D

----------------------------------------

Hi guys! I was contacted a bit ago by Cat about doing a guest post on One Hand In My Pocket and I jumped at the chance! Cat is really amazing and I really appreciate her giving me the chance to guest post on her blog!

That’s me in the photo above, sorry it’s a rubbish photo! I used to be such a poser back in the MySpace days, but I can’t seem to get the hang of it anymore! My name is Katie and I blog at Fireworks. I set my blog up a little over a month ago after debating whether to create one for ages. I’m 21 and from Leeds, so I’m mega Yorkshire and proud! I work in retail, but I’m hoping to get some work experience in the Journalism field because that’s what I really want to do! In the summer I finished a Journalism course, which I got a triple Distinction (so chuffed!). I wasn’t sure what to do my post about, and after decided for a while, I decided to tell you a few of my favourite things, so you can get to know me a bit more!

My favourite people on this planet at the moment are the boys from One Direction. I’m a big 1D fan girl, and I sometimes act like I’m 14 again, back when Busted and McFly were huge! I’m glad they didn’t win the X Factor because it hasn’t done them any harm at all! Sometimes winners aren’t as successful as runners up anyway! I’ll buy anything 1D that I see whether it’s a book, poster or lanyard (I don’t know what I’ll use it for either!). My favourite is Harry, who tends to be everyone’s fave, but it’s the hair that’s so amazing! I defiantly recommend their album, Up All Night. It’s typical pop stuff, but if you love The Wanted, JLS and that type of music then you’ll love the album.

I love cups of tea, especially in winter when they warm you up! I love this mug as well, I love Disney and 101 Dalmatians is my favourite Disney film! A cup of tea always seems to cheer you up, and it’s nice to have a girly chat over a cuppa!

I love jewellery, I get it off my Mum! My Mum never goes a day without wearing a necklace, ear rings and bracelets, and that’s defiantly a trait I get from her! I love friendship bracelets, they’re so cute! I love the one with my name on, I got that on holiday this year!

I’ve been a Harry Potter fan since I was 7. It’s the most amazing book series ever and my entire childhood was about Harry Potter. The first film came out at the end of 2001, whilst I was in the first few months of high school, and its felt like I’ve grown up with Harry because every year Harry was in, in Hogwarts, has matched the year I was in high school. I’ve read all the books a million times and I never get bored of them!

I’m a bit of a Jack Wills fan! All the posh students seem to wear it and it’s quite expensive, but the quality is really good. I love getting the cute handbooks that they send you as well! I have a fair few Jack Wills stuff and I love adding things to my collection, sad I know!

So that’s a little about me and the things that I love! I’d like to thank Cat again for this amazing opportunity! Hope you like my post and feel free to check out my blog!

Guest Posting - Felicity

Hey girls, hope you're all well.

Welcome to the second guest blogger, Felicity. I stumbled across her blog & just instantly fell in love & not for the obvious reasons.. first thing I noticed was she had a Dachshund! (A sausage dog) Oh my gosh, the obsession with her blog started from there! Hahaha. If you've followed me for a while, you'll know I have my own sausage dog named Honey & they've been my favourite breed of dog for years. Not only does Felicity have her own sausage dog, she is also as obsessed as I am! So, without further delay, here's my girl talking about one of the things we love most in the world. SAUSAGES. : D

-----------------------------------------------

Hi, my name is Felicity and I blog daily over at Pursuit of Felicity. I have many different interests but my biggest interest is sausage dogs, so when Cat asked if I would like to do a guest post on her lovely blog I jumped at the opportunity - this lovely lady likes sausage dogs just as much as I do! Hence why the topic of my guest post is on, you guessed it.. sausage dogs (also referred to as miniature dachshunds). ;) Enjoy!

They need to be walked at least once a day or they will literally walk themselves. If they see you putting your shoes on, you'd better be taking them for a walk. If you go anywhere even remotely near where you store your dog lead, you'd better be taking them for a walk. If you so much as get out of bed in the morning, you'd better be taking them for a walk.

They like to eat alot and they will eat just about anything.. Prescription glasses, tissues, jewellery - you name it.

You will purchase and watch them destroy over 100 toys in their lifetime [I say this because my own 22 month old dachshund has already murdered 50+ toys].

Unless you train them really well they will not play fetch. If you throw a ball and they catch it, that ball is now theirs. They will not bring the ball back.

They can be extremely hard to train [and will more than likely train you instead].

Your bed will eventually become their bed. Get used to it.

They are extremely stubborn.

They shed hair like nobody’s business.

They have this incredible ability to store endless amounts of wee. They seem store it up in the event that someone will return home from work, school, or after a five minute chat with the neighbour. As soon as you walk through that front door they will inevitably pee all over the place, and often all over you. If several people arrive home at once be prepared for multiple urine puddles, watching them rolling around in their own wee, and hearing the most deafening high pitched squeals that you will ever hear in your life.

They are incredibly loyal to all family members and are welcoming of guests and other animals.

They are highly intelligent [don't let their playfu lattitude fool you].

They are beautiful to look at and have the most unique facial expression.

They are cuddly and affectionate [they will lick your face off].

They can be very funny and love to clown around.

They will love you until the day they die.

I'm also guest posting over at Felicity's blog next week, so check that out as well!

Guest Posting - Jen

Hi girls. : )

You might remember me mentioning earlier this week how excited I am to have a few new guest bloggers posting for you this week. So, let me introduce my first gorgeous girl, Jen.

-------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone, I'm Jen! I'm very excited to be writing my first ever guest post! When Cat emailed me and asked if I'd like to write for her blog I was really chuffed as I've only been back blogging for a few weeks! I love your blog, Cat and thankyou again for this :) I've decided to put together a wishlist, mainly consisting of knitwear and sparkly nail varnish for you all to look at and maybe add a few things to your Christmas list.

Everything is from Topshop and the nail varnish can be found at Boots or Superdrug.

So, which are your favourites? And what's on your wishlist at the moment? I know number 3 is in my Christmas pile and I was treated to number 4 the other day :) Thanks for reading and be sure to check out my blog!

Merry Christmas! ;)

Anna's Guest Post

Omgosh, only 2 days & I'll be flying home! Feels so weird writing this when I haven't even gone yet.

Anyway I'd like to introduce you to my final guest blogger, Anna. Her blog is awesome, I love all her different outfit posts. So TAKE IT AWAY ANNA. : )

------------------------------------------------------------

Hi there! Nice to meet you, and how are you today?! I'm the blogger from http://catflicks.blogspot.com/ aka catflicks! It's not my nickname (or name for that matter!), I just needed a blog name to use, and I always have catflick liner on :P Anyway, this is the first time I've done a guest blog post and I wasn't sure what to do. But on my blog I mainly to outfit posts (with some other beauty/make-up/stuff I've seen and want, that sort of thing!) so I thought I'd just do a simple little outfit post :)

top&skirt: topshop
belt: h&m
necklace: matalan
rings: charity shop, topshop
bracelets: old ones off my mum, river island

I thought I'd also tell you a little bit of the stuff I like, etc.

I absolutely love shoes! I think most girls love shoes...or bags (or both!) anyway. I think you are either a bag-lady or shoe-lady and even though I love bags and have a few of them...I'm definitely more of a shoe-lady!

RINGS! I love my rings, I always wear quite a few, I love piling them on :) And I also love leopard print, nail art, music, and animals. Even though I don't have any animals at the moment, but hopefully one day I'll get a cat!

Anyway I hope you've enjoyed this guest blog post, and thank you Cat, I hope you're having a brilliant holiday :)

xxx

-------------------------------------------------------

Thankyou Anna! : D
I think I have a bit of an obsession with shoes too.. not the most inexpensive of obsessions! Hahaha.

So, I should be back on Wednesday girls, I hope all these posts have appeared when they were supposed too. I probably won't blog immediately when I get back, but I'll try really hard to catch up on everything at the end of this week. : ) Hope you're all well.

Rach's Guest Post

Morning girls! Gosh it's the 10th already, I'll be home in 4 days time! Holidays always go so quick don't they.

Right onto my second to last guest blogger. This girl is absolutely amazing. Her blog is so beautiful, I'm so glad she found me & we became 'blogger sisters' ; D So, without further delay, I give you RACH!

-----------------------------------------------

Hi guys! I am Rach from So, hi and I am so happy to introduce myself to you all! I am a high school senior that is obsessed with beauty, love, life, and witty banter. So, what do you think my blog is about? All of that fun stuff. :)

This is the chick that is writing this post. Like the av's? Well I started my blogging adventure last year around this time - and I have blossomed in to being pretty good at it (not to be cocky or anything). I am just about to hit 500 followers! Which is so crazy.

But let me elaborate about what my lovely blog and I are all about. First off, I have an amazing best friend, and an amazing boyfriend. They keep me sane - while I drive them insane ;) I am lucky to have them in my life, along with my lovely family. :)

I love beauty and all things fashionable - but I am still only in high school so I don't have much money to spend, so I show you guys some tips on looking hot - while on a budget. ;)

Here's a look at some of my previous posts.

I write different opinions posts about the latest trends to see what everyone thinks. The latest one? Feather extensions.

I also do random DIY's that are totally easy and super cute. Check out the crop top tutorial here.

I have SUPER cute nail idea's! You can find them here.

And hauls - here. :)

And that is it. If you want to see more, make sure to check me out! Have a lovely day!

Love, Rach from So, hi.

----------------------------------------------------

I love the variety of this girl's posts & she is so beautiful! Go check her out now. : )

Rachel's Guest Post

Heyyy lovelies! So I'm into my second week of holiday, (hopefully getting nice & tanned now..) & I'd like to introduce to you my fourth guest blogger. Her name is Rachel & she blogs over at Cold Knees. Her blog is so cute, I fell in love with it instantly.TAKE IT AWAY RACHEL. : D

---------------------------------------------------------

A stroll around the Columbia Road Flower Market-

An icon part of London (some of the traders have been there for over fifty years!) but I'd never actually been before, despite living in London my entire life. So this Sunday me and by boyfriend went along, hoping to find a few things to brighten up our new flat. We ended up with Sunflowers (one of my favourite flowers :), Everlastings (sort of dried flowers which we hope will live up to their name!), a little Lavender plant and a Red Chilli plant (for my mum). The last two were only £2 each! It's definitely far cheaper than going to an Interflora type place. And half the fun is in browsing and seeing who has the best deals- the traders shout out all sorts of funny things to grab your attention too (some examples: "‘Good morning, gardeners. What a lovely day! If it’s raining it’s just an illusion" , "Help yourself, pay for them of course’‘, "Pick out what you like or what you don’t like"... ). It gets very crowded, but definitely go around 1.30-2pm as it's near the end so you'll get the best deals! There's cute gardening shops, pubs and cafes as well in the area (Hoxton Overground station is nearest).

My sunglasses are from Topshop :)

And of course peeps are welcome to check out my blog http://coldknees.blogspot.com ;)

----------------------------------------------------

Thankyou Rachel. : )

I love finding little vintage markets & stalls around London, so adorable. ♥

Ann's Guest Post

Hello girls! So if these schedulaed posts are working, it should be Tuesday 6th September & I'll be starting my second week of holiday tomorrow! I'm probably burnt to a crisp already.. don't worry.. I'll take photos to show you evidence. ; D

Right so my third guest poster, is Ann from An Eye Of Inspiration. She came across my blog after reading my introductory post of Rach's blog, So, hi. Please show her some love & supoort & check out her blog!

--------------------------------------------------

My blog consists of my very random train of thought. I never really know when I'm going to blog but when I do usually it doesn't really have a purpose because like I said, my mind is always wandering without a destination in thought. I like to tell people my thoughts, so a few months ago I decided maybe making a blog would help clear my mind abit. And well its does so I guess its a win win. Anyway, my name is Ann and I guess I could fill you all in on a bit about myself.

I've lived in a small town pretty much all my life. Its really uneventful and gets WAY to much snow in the winter time, we had up to 8.5 ft in my front yard last winter. Guess we'll see what this winter brings....

For fashion... I'm a little un-educated on all that fancy stuff. Usually I get tips from friends or by reading fellow blog's so I don't seem so clueless. And well its helped. However I like to make my own style, and dress how I want to dress. That being said my style is casual. Although, that doesn't mean I dress all frumpy, I do like to show of how beautiful I can be.

My favourite colour is green, I'm from Canada, and I don't care what's going on around me as long as I'm happy! My favourite food is spaghetti, and I love popsicles and cheesecake for a dessert. Separately of course.

I've worn glasses for most of my life, and if I don't have them on I'm useless.. and literally walk into things. I've already tripped up the stairs before spilling a drink every where. Which brings me to say, I am far to clumsy. I'm always spilling and dropping things. But thats alright because I usually end up laughing about it hehe.

I love to do creative writing, because its an endless string of opportunity and no one can tell you if your telling the story wrong.

And well, thats all I can think of for the moment, if I continue I may end up rambling more than I already have... :) Have a great day everyone! xx

---------------------------------------------

Thankyou Ann! I'm hopeless without my glasses too. Haha.

Hope you're all well girls, I miss you all!

Emily's Guest Post

Hello girls! I'd like to introduce you to my second guest blogger, Emily. (You've probably heard me mention her in a few posts!) I've actually known this girl since college (4 years now!) & she is simply amazing. TAKE IT AWAY EMZ. : D

----------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone!!

My name is Emily and I blog over at
"Design and Nonsense".

I love photography, craft and DIY, vintage graphics and giving things a new lease of life! So you'll find a general odd-bod mixture of those things on my blog :-)

I am currently in the middle of a "365 Day Photo Challenge" where I have been posting a photo a day since April and I plan on doing it for a year. It's a great way of keeping up with one of my most-loved hobbies, despite the fact I've been slacking recently; I think I'm around about a week behind!!

I'm also obsessed with interior decorating and styling, and I frequently post DIY tutorials on my blog, usually of various bits of my furniture getting a makeover!

So, in the spirit of all things interior, I have done a little round-up of my favourite things from what I consider to be one of the greatest online marketplaces out in the big wide web- Not On The High Street.

I'm sure plenty of you have experienced the sumptious wonders this site has to offer, but for those of you haven't (and therefore haven't lived yet!) prepare yourselves.
Of course, if you don't get excited over pretty things as easily as I do, then this could fail completely...

Right! First things first, I LOVE lanterns!!
It all started with this one, which I found in TK Maxx of all places and my wonderful mother bought it for me
:-D

Pretty, right?!

If ONLY I had more available surfaces, I would fill them up with some of these lovelies:

If I had my way, I'd fill the house and garden with these :-) And knowing how clumsy I am, probably knock most of them over...I might be a slight fire hazard in my own home!

Now, kitchen stuff. Life is so much better with quirky things for the kitchen and, one day when I get my own, I intend to litter it with such objects :-)

Aren't those teapots amazing?! (I know what a soft spot Cat has for teapots! :-P)

Finally, for those of you who find running late becoming a regular occurrence, here's a few time-keeping doodads that might help you out!

Well, that last one might be a bit tricky to read accurately, but look how clever it is! Wouldn't that be great to have on the wall in a hair salon?!

Ooh, I have to mention this...

Found here

I ordered this recently while it was listed at half-price and it should be with me soon! I'm a serial tea-drinker so am super excited :-D

That's all I have to share for now folks! If you haven't already, definitely go and visit Not On The High Street. It offers a huge, huge range of products, not just homeware. For all of you jewellery fans, there are some gorgeous and unique pieces you just won't find in the shops!

I hope you enjoyed my rambling guest post :-) I'd love to see some of you over at "Design and Nonsense"!

Take care everyone!

This girl seriously knows me too well.. haha! We both always order tea when we go to Starbucks! : D Thankyou for doing a guest post for me Emz, I'll see you when I get back! : )
