Currently Loving - Autumn Trends

Hello lovelies!

I thought I'd share with you a few clothing items I've loving this Autumn. All of these in fact are my staples most years, but I've had a hunt online for a few key pieces on the high street I thought were too good not to share.

Jumpers

BooHoo Black Rib KnitNewlook Rainbow Cosy Jumper / River Island Leopard Print Turtleneck

Nothing beats a cosy jumper. I challenge you to find something as soft & comforting as a snugly jumper. This year I've been loving stripes. Rainbow print, block colour, anything that screams 90's. This one from New Look just looks so warm & thick. You definitely need one of these for your Winter wardrobe. I've also included a plain black jumper, these just go with everything. I love the simple look of blue jeans & a basic jumper. And finally, how cute is this leopard print one from River Island? The model on the website has styled it with black pleather shorts, which I love, but I can also see it styled with a black knitted skirt, tights & boots. Definitely going to pick this one up next pay day!

Scarf / Snoods

Scarves make me so happy. You can see my striped theme running from the jumpers into this section too.. just look how cute the patterns are on these two! I'm also a massive fan of snoods at this time of year as well. I hate having a cold neck & will do anything to avoid it! You can guarantee that if I haven't got a roll neck jumper on, I'm wearing a scarf.

Knee High Boots

Ah I'm obsessed with knee high boots. I just love them. I have a pair of black & grey ones & this year, I'm extremely tempted to purchase a brown pair! I struggle with finding the perfect knee high boot though.. I've lost count of the amount of them that I've tried on & they haven't fitted me properly. It's usually the upper part of the boot & making sure it stays up when you're walking around that I find the most tricky when picking out a new pair! I end up striding around the shop testing them out! No wonder James hates shopping with me.. These 3 pairs I've picked out above, I just loved, all for different reasons. The first pair are just so glamorous. I can see myself rocking these for a night out with jeans & a nice top. The black pair look more day time but also suitable for evening & I was drawn to the fact they weren't high-heeled, as my pair kill my feet if I'm wearing them all day! & finally the brown pair, I picked these out because I'm on the market for a brown pair of boots like I said & these looked so comfy. They also have the tie at the top, so no danger of falling down my legs!

Just saying those 3 words & knowing I can now wear coats again makes me so happy. I purchased the ultimate fluffy bear coat from Pull & Bear at the beginning of the year & I absolutely love it! I've been wearing it this week (before the mini heat wave last Wednesday / Thursday!) & have felt so happy. I really struggled to pick out just 3 from the high street for this category, but after purchasing a pink faux fur coat about 2 years ago & trying to make it work & failing (I had to buy it in 2 sizes too big & it just swamped me!) I wanted to include another one I thought would be a suitable alternative. The first brown coat I've selected is quite similar to mine, but it has a collar & I actually think I prefer it to the Pull & Bear one. It looks super cosy! The final one I'm sure won't be to everyone's taste & to be honest, I can't actually explain why it caught my eye, but just the colours & print were too cute to resist.

Do you prefer Summer or Autumn style? : )

I would love to know if you've picked up any key pieces & what you're loving for this season!

My Blog & I

Hello lovelies!

I started off my last blog post saying I was 'back from my blogging break'. I think it's been longer between that last post then the post before! It's not like I haven't wanted to sit down & type, in fact I've been desperate too, but every time I give myself an hour or so to sit down with my laptop, my mind goes blank. Don't get me wrong, I have so many blog post ideas, but getting them typed up at the moment is extremely hard. The most frustrating thing is, I don't know why!

I know a lot has changed in the blogging community over the last few years. Everyone & their mum is talking about it.. but has it really changed that much? When did sitting down & typing what was on your mind so difficult? That is the question.

I understand it's different for everyone. We all go through different things in our lives at different times & that effects us in all kinds of ways. A life-changing event happened this Summer for me & it's been hard to focus on anything but that lately. (& sadly no, it wasn't a positive thing that happened, but our family is working through it together) One day I will talk about it when it isn't so fresh.

But still the question remains, when did something we love so much turn into something so negative? A fight for the most views on a post.. who can work with a brand first.. who's bought the latest Prada bag.. none of that used to matter. It simply was about sitting down & writing what you were loving, your 'outfit of the day' or where you went on an exciting day out.

I think that's where my blog has struggled.

I'm not popular within the community.

I started my blog 7 & a half years ago.. There are people who have been blogging for 6 months & have more followers & brand deals than I'll ever have, but I truly believe that's because I'm true to myself & blog about things I want too & still keep my blog as a hobby. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure everyone is passionate about their writing & some people are so driven to make their blog their job, but I'm quite happy it taking a back seat. I've been publishing my 'Life Lately' posts since the start of my blog & treat it as more of an online diary. I'll be forever thankful I never gave up on blogging, because looking back over everything I've done over the years, it makes me so happy! All the ups & downs, past relationships, work & my life are documented on this tiny page on the internet. It's amazing.

I guess this post is a rant. Or maybe it's not. I'm not actually sure.

Maybe it's just me, sitting down, talking about what's on my mind. After all, isn't that what a blog should be, right?

I would love to know your thoughts! : )

Life Lately #145

Hello lovelies,

In my last post, I mentioned James & I were heading to Crufts for the weekend in Birmingham & if you follow me on Instagram, I'm sure you would be sick of seeing all my dog pictures, but it honestly was so much fun! I got to meet the wonderful JB from The Kingsman & Fru Fru from Beauty & The Beast! I also got to stroke about a million different dogs, I was in heaven.

We stayed in the most adorable Air B'n'B, which was perfect for us. As we were driving up late Friday night, we wanted somewhere we could access after 10pm, which surprisingly limits you on the places you can book! Jo's home was perfect for us & was warm & welcoming when we arrived. Oh & if you haven't booked with Air B'n'B before, you can use my code to get £25 off your first trip! It's the first place I check when James & I are looking for a short break away.

On Sunday it was Mother's Day, so we went over to my parents' for lunch with my grandparents. Mum had made the table look incredible as always, laid out with way too much food. We bought Nan some presents too, here she is buried in a massive box! It was hilarious seeing her open it!

As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm slowly building up my book collection & recently added Lily Pebbles' book, The F Word. I'm only a few chapters in, but I'm finding it really interesting & very relatable. Have you got a copy?

Last Thursday I met up with my girlies for Pizza & a catch up & it was so lovely to see them & hear all about Boop's birthday! I can't wait to get our plans together for her surprise.. ; )

& finally, I couldn't do another update post without mentioning the snow again.. I mean.. what is actually going on.. it's nearly the first day of Spring!? James & I came back late Saturday night to find our parking space covered by snow, it made our little flat look so pretty. It's now only 2 & a half weeks till we move seriously not looking forward to packing up everything but we're extremely excited to get settled in now. I'm just going to miss our little flat so much.

How has your March been lovelies?

Blouse You

Ok, so anyone else obsessed with blouses right now?

I just can't get enough of them. The more ruffles, flared sleeves & bows the better!

These are just a few I've found while scouring the internet. My favourites have to be the baby blue & polka dot one, both from H&M. I'm on a strict budget at the moment, but I was so tempted to go & find them both in store! The burgundy one from New Look is also great value for a simple staple Autumn piece.

I tend to style my blouses with black skinny jeans or body-con skirts & knee-high boots for an evening look, or go casual with converse & jeans during the day. They also look especially cool with a fedora if it isn't too windy!

I wore my new blouse from Primark (which I've searched the internet for & can't find) but here's me wearing it on a day trip to London with the girls & it got so many compliments!

A girl can never have too many blouses in her life.

Let me know if you'd like a post about the blouses I own & see how I style them for Autumn.

What I've Been Wearing On My Nails #42

Fearne Cotton - Burnt Out
I was wearing this back in June, but I'm tempted to get it back out again for Autumn. It's the perfect shade to wear with dark greens & reds at this time of year.

Leighton Denny - Coral Reef
One of my favourite shades! I swear I say this in almost all my nail art posts but it's true! This colour has lived on my toe nails this Summer.

Orly - Harmonious Mess
Ah again another of my favs. The perfect blue for a warm sunny day.

Barry M - Gold
& my latest nail polish of choice. I'm not a massive fan of wearing bright oranges on my nails, but love golds or darker oranges & this one is simply stunning.

What have you been wearing on your nails this month?

Life Lately #132

Wow, this seems like ages ago now, but we had our annual Summer BBQ at my grandparent's house back at the beginning of July. We've done it for the past four years & we have a day of playing games & eating lots of food. It's so much fun & we were so lucky with the weather. There were two short showers, but otherwise, it was dry & sunny.

July was also the month I got my new car! This is Connie the convertible. Isn't she cute? We've already had some exciting drives with the roof down. (Not as much as I'd like, we are in England after all..)

James also got a job promotion! He is now assistant manager at the kennels he works at. I'm so proud of him as he's only been in the job since March, so he's really thriving in his new role. We went out for dinner to celebrate with his family, which was lovely.

At the end of July, James & I finally got to go to The Harry Potter Studios! It was such a fun day, I've written a full post on it if you'd like to have a read

Oh & did any of you watch Love Island?! The girls & I all got together to watch the final round Elisa's. Did you agree with the winners? We were all seriously obsessed.

Last Sunday we had brunch at Bills as Cathy had two of her friends from uni visiting. It was so nice to see them & get all the girls together.

& finally, Thursday I met up for lunch with Cathy, Gem & Alice to do some last minute shopping. We have so many birthdays in August, it's been a bit manic organising all the presents in time! Luckily I managed to get the last few bits in town today.

Oh & I go on holiday on Tuesday! I'm so excited. Cathy, Boop & I are jetting off to Lanzarote & we actually can't wait. I will hopefully vlog while we're away, so keep an eye out for that!

Maria's Hen Do

Sorry for the lack of posts this week lovelies, everything has just caught up with me! Working 6 days a week + attending multiple flat viewings with James, I've had no time to blog!

I wanted to share with you a few pictures from Saturday. James' dad is getting married to his fiancé Maria in June & it was her hen do last Saturday. We went out for dinner & danced the night away to a Michael Buble tribute. It was so much fun! I also got to meet some lovely ladies at the do & Auntie Jules also came down for the occasion. Throw in a few cocktails & bottles of wine, it was the perfect night!

I also wanted to show you my outfit, which was a culotte jumpsuit from BooHoo. It was in the sale for £8 & I can't explain how much I adore it! It's the comfiest, sexiest piece in my wardrobe right now & allows breathing space for food babies. Always a win in my book.

Oh & how cute is my choker? £1.50 from Primark.. yes. Amazing.

Normal posting will resume this week, I promise! Can't wait to share with you my exciting news..

Life Lately #121

Hello lovelies,

The girlies & I met up for a catch up a few weekends back to discuss baby shower ideas for Gemma's up & coming day! We are so excited & plans are coming together nicely. I can't wait for her little one to be born.

We had a staff meeting at work on Tuesday morning & I had a gap between the start of my shift, so James & I went for breakfast at Bills. I've mentioned this restaurant hundreds of times on my blog I know, but they honestly do the best breakfasts ever. Just look at those pancakes!

Last Thursday we had a short downpour of snow! I'd just arrived at work & suddenly the sky opened & we had a snow shower! It only lasted a few hours but still, it was most exciting! Elisa & I thought we'd be trapped at work forever.. luckily we weren't.. ; )

Thursday was also my last day at work before 5 days off. On Friday, James, Allan & I moved our furniture into storage. We were kindly offered some furniture which had been hardly used (including a sofa, 3-doored wardrobe & bedside cabinets) just before Christmas as a friend of the family was moving into a rented house, but bringing her own furniture. As James & I are currently looking for our own place, but not yet found anything, we put all the furniture into storage. It took all day to move it from the house to the storage area, but it's one step closer to being in our own place!

On Friday evening, we had a meal at my grandparents to celebrate my birthday. Mum brought the most amazing cake for me, it was called Freddie The Frenchie. Isn't he just the cutest!?

Saturday morning I'd arranged a pottery painting session in town with my tea ladies. It was so lovely to catch up with them all & to obviously paint with a cup of tea & some cake! I decorated a bowl for Honey, which we get to pick up in a few days time.

Saturday evening I'd organised a pub trip with my best ones in town. It was so much fun, despite the fact I've been put off orange licquer for life..

Sunday morning the girls & I went for brunch at Joanna's Tea Room. I tried it out in December with the family & loved it so much, I had to book it for the girls to try as well. They have chandeliers, pink tea cups & endless supply of cakes. What more could you want? The original plan was to go for a short walk while we were there, but due to the rain, it was a walk to the duck pond & back!

Finally, on Monday, James & I travelled to this adorable little lodge we'd booked for the night. It literally was half an hour down the road, but right in the middle of nowhere. I'm going to do a full review post about it in a few weeks, but oh my goodness. We are already looking to book it up again in the Spring / Summer. It was so perfect.

How has your week been lovelies?

Christmas Outfit + Accessories For Under £40!

So, you've completed your Christmas shopping, bought enough lights to guide a plane onto a runway, put the tree up & arranged plans with your family for Christmas Day. You've written all your cards & bought enough sherry to last you till next Christmas, but is there something your forgetting..?

Oh yes, that dreaded Christmas work meal that everyone is going too. You need a new outfit, something that will stand out & make your colleagues do a double take when they see you in something other than your work uniform..

One problem, you're completely broke. You spent your last £1 buying two rolls of wrapping paper in Poundland to finish wrapping the annoyingly huge present you got for your dad. But wait.. you can get a new playsuit for a tenner, a pair of shoes & bag for £20 & a few accessories for under £40?! Surely not..

-----

So, let's start with this playsuit. £10. Yup, that's right, £10. What makes it even better is it's velvet. My absolute favourite thing to wear at this time of year, it just screams Christmas. I am in love with the halter neck style & it isn't too low cut for a meal with work colleagues (& potentially your boss!) you don't want to go to boobie!

Now if we move on to these boots. Depending on what your doing after the meal, heels might be more appropriate but I love how a pair of boots look with playsuits. Especially ones that are as glittery as these. Plus you can never go wrong with boots for comfort compared to heels. I also wanted to include these tights. Primark tights are simply amazing. They are so cheap & as I always ladder mine, you never want to invest anymore than a few quid on a pair.

As well as being obsessed with velvet at this time of year, I had to include this fluffy clutch bag which has also worked it's way into my favourites. Just look how pretty it is! Alongside this bracelet, it will add a bit of sparkle to the outfit.

Oh & finally this gorgeous nail polish is only £1.50 & will make a beautiful top coat on top of a dark berry polish, or just on it's own to match the boots. I just had to include it!

What do you think about this outfit?
What are you wearing to your Christmas meal this year?

What I've Been Wearing On My Nails #35

Fearne Cotton -  Coral Island & Golden Touch
I love how you can see my nails transitioning from Summer to Autumn in this post! With this first nail art design, I tried to do an ombre glitter effect. It honestly looked better in real life! I used a sponge to get the glitter stronger at the top of the nail & worked my way down to the base.

Ciate - Island Hopping
As you can see, I was still craving glitter in my life at this point, so I used one of my Ciate Mini polishes I got for Christmas last year. I love this shade. I never used to wear orange on my nails, but definitely warming to it this year.

Rimmel London - Berries & Cream
This colour is the definition of Autumn. I'm obsessed with it. I do tend to wear this shade all through the year but it comes into its own in the colder months.

Essie - Ruffles & Feathers / Models Own Nail Art Pen - Gold
& finally my favourite design that I've done over the last few months. I might even go as far as to say my favourite ever Autumn nail art. It took me ages to do the leaves but I was so proud of this one when I'd finished. I'll definitely be doing this again next year!

What have you been wearing on your nails this month?

Halloween Wishlist

If you're like me & scroll through countless photos of people doing amazing Halloween makeup, then go to try it & massively fail.. then this one is for you! I'm not one for overly scary makeup either, so this would be perfect for a non-messy, cute look.

Ok, so how gorgeous is this? I have to say I'd never be brave enough to wear it over the top of just my bra (maybe with a black cami or crop top underneath) but it just looks so beautiful. Like I say, I tend to go for a more pretty approach when it comes to Halloween so I was immediately drawn to this.

Again, how cute?! You can never go wrong with a black dress, especially one covered in bats.

These just looked such good fun & perfect for someone who doesn't like to have everything on show. They remind me of those fun leggings Primark do at Christmas that are perfect for wearing around the house or you could jazz them up for a night out, with heels & a black crop top.

How cute is this little guy? As I mentioned in my Tips & Tricks For The Working Day post, I love to have unusual cups & bottles to drink out of as it encourages me to drink more throughout the day. This skeleton jar is only £3! Complete bargain.

Who else hates getting messy on Halloween? I always do my makeup & totally forget I've put it on & manage to get it all over my clothes! Luckily, New Look have designed this choker which is perfect for keeping those stains at bay!

& my final item is this purse. It's so adorable & perfect for that night out on the town to celebrate Halloween! I can't resist a bit of sparkle.

Do you celebrate Halloween? What are your plans this year? : )

Elizavecca - Milky Piggy - Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask

Hello lovelies,

I'm already starting to regret documenting this on camera.. when I looked back over the photos this morning, I was literally crying with laughter! Hello moon face.

So, what is this face mask you ask & why is it so different to normal face masks? Well, if we're getting all technical, its basically a clay mask that reacts to the partials in the air which makes it foam & create bubbles on your face. Fun eh?

It was amazingly priced I think, seeing as you can get quite a few uses from one pot. I bought mine from Amazon using Amazon Prime, so I received it the following day, priced at £10.48.

Oh & just look at that cute little pig! How could anyone resist this packaging?!

It even comes with a small spatula in the lid (a bit like an ice cream tub you get at the theatre!) which you use to apply the product to your face. As you can see, the instructions are all in Korean, but it's literally a case of applying the mask, leaving it on for 5-10 minutes & rinsing your face with warm water.

The most difficult part of using this face mask is how quick you need to be! After opening the lid & snapping a few pictures, I could already see the clay forming small bubbles on the surface, so I quickly applied it to my face, but it had already started bubbling away on one of my cheeks before I could finish fully applying it!

This photo was literally taken after I had finished applying it & you can already see a lot of bubbles on my face. I really wasn't prepared for how bubbly the mask would become..

This is after 10 minutes! I was actually a bit panicky that it was going to take over my whole face & go into my eyes & mouth (it has already started going up my nose!) as it just seemed to keep expanding the longer I left it!

I removed it shortly after this with a warm flannel & moisturized my skin. I've read in a few reviews that some people let it foam up & rub the bubbles into their face & then remove after 10 minutes completely, which I'm going to try next time I use the face mask.

So here's what the product claimed it would do;

- Remove stubborn impurities & dead skin cells leaving the complexion deeply cleansed
- Provide the vitality the skin needs
- Leave the skin feeling soft

I have to say I would agree that it does all these things & pretty damn well too! I'm amazed at how soft it left my skin feeling. As soon as I removed the bubbles & clay underneath, my skin looked & felt so fresh. I absolutely loved using this mask & will definitely be re-purchasing it in the future once I've finished my existing pot. I think it would be great for a pamper evening with the girls as it was such a laugh to use!

What is your favourite face mask at the moment?

I'm really getting into my skin care at the moment, so would love to hear your thoughts on this mask & any others you recommend me trying : )

OOTD - Summer Rose

Dusky Pink Pinafore Dress - Primark (LINK) or (SIMILAR HERE)
White Tee - Primark (LINK)
Rucksack - Primark
Heeled Sandals - New Look (LINK)
Sunnies - Primark
Rings - Pandora
Nail Varnish - Barry M

Ah, look at the sun. I can almost feel it on my skin again looking back at these pictures! It was around 31 degrees when I took these & I literally ran into the house sweating & had to change immediately!

I want to first of all confess my love to suede. Yes, the pinafore & sandals are both suede. There's something so beautiful about it I can't resist it.. please tell me its not just me?

Let's start with these sandals. I've been looking for the perfect pair for over a year now & these recently came into my life when I was searching online for some new winter boots. Sadly, I didn't find any, but I did find these! Funny how things work out eh? They are the perfect height for me as an everyday work shoe, so hopefully I'll be getting use out of them for the rest of this Summer & next year.

On a recent trip to Bath with James, we popped into Primark & this pinafore dress immediately caught my eye! Just look at that dusky pink colour, it's so beautiful. I'm tempted to go back & get the dark green one, as that would be perfect for Autumn with some black boots.

Oh & this rucksack was my life saver in Corfu. It's the perfect size & carries so much in it. I wouldn't have survived the holiday without it.

OH & I filmed this outfit too! My first ever OOTD on YouTube, so please go check it out. Any comments / suggestions are very welcome! I love making videos but I know I'm not the best at it.

Tips & Tricks For The Working Day

Hello lovelies,

I've been wanting to write up this post for the longest time! If you know me, you'll know I spend a lot of time at work. I'm probably there more than I am at home! I'm very lucky to say that I do really love my job, but sometimes I'll have those days where everything is just too much. I've put together a few pointers on how to make that working day a bit less stressful & hopefully it can inspire you if you're having one of those days too!

Link

1. Keep hydrated
I'm an absolute nightmare for drinking water throughout the day. Mainly because I dislike water. It just tastes so bland. What I find really helps is if I can see it infront of me. I keep a bottle of orange squash in my locker at all times, so I can just pop into the office & top it up. My other tip for this point is having a 'fun' bottle. I don't mean anything like a kid's beaker with flashing lights.. I just mean something more appealing than a plain plastic bottle. I have a glass jar with a straw that I take in, filled with a few fruit shaped ice cubes & it makes the squash so much more appealing to drink! Maybe it's a psychological thing, but it really works!

2. Take a break
& yes, I mean a proper break. I know I'm guilty for leaving my desk & going & sitting away from my computer, only to pick up my mobile & spend my break scrolling through social media. I always feel so much better when I take my eyes away from a screen, either but sitting & actually concentrating on my food, or by reading a book, which leads me onto my next point..

3. Take a book to work
If you know me personally, you'll know I only tend to read when I'm on holiday. I just can't "find the time" to read in every day life. This we all know is bullshit. (however, I still can't justify that there is time to go to the gym everyday.. you're super talented if you manage to fit that in!) I've recently loved taking a book to work & completely immersing myself in it. If you don't feel like reading a fictional book, you could always take a puzzle, activity or colouring in book. I quite often take my copy of Calm. It's perfect for when you're feeling a bit anxious & I find when I return to my desk I feel completely refreshed & ready to start work again.

4. Go outside
I work in a building that looks out onto the outside world. You can see everyone pottering around, doing every day things & walking from A to B. So why is it when my half an hour break comes around, I decide to go & sit in the back room, away from the sunlight eating my lunch / dinner. Crazy. As the weather has been so nice recently, I've made myself cross the road & head into the park. It bemuses me why I never thought this was an option before, but now I try to go out whenever I can (weather permitting) even if it is just for a short walk & I actually eat outside. Just like reading a book, I come back feeling totally refreshed.

5. Take a healthy lunch / dinner
I work shifts, so I could be working anytime between 9.30am & 8.30pm. This usually means if I'm on a day shift, lunch for me will be around 2pm & if I'm on a late, usually around 6pm. I can't stress how important it is to take food with you to work. There is nothing worse than sitting there starving at 4pm, looking at the clock, waiting for the shift to finish. I always try to take a piece of fruit, I've been loving raspberries & strawberries recently, alongside a salad or sandwich. Being hungry at work really can effect your mood, so make sure you make time to bring food with you.

6. Wear clothes that give you confidence
A lot of work places have uniforms, mine is smart dress & it must be either black or white. I actually quite like our dress-code, as it gives you freedom to wear your own clothes plus I'm able to separate work from day-to-day wear as I love being able to wear colour when I'm not working. However, some days I get into my work clothes & nothing looks right. This is where my underwear comes in. I hope I'm not the only one who feels so much more confident when they know they are wearing their favourite pair of pants under their work uniform? Haha! It really does make a difference.. give it a try!

7. Always remember:
"Everyone you meet is fighting their own battle you know nothing about. Be Kind, Always."
If you work in customer service like I do, this quote is very difficult to remember when you're getting abuse thrown in your face for a reason you have no control over. It can be hard, but always remember to this person who is currently shouting at you, in a few months time, they won't even remember it happened. I've had it multiple times where a customer has come back in, I've instantly remembered their face & the conversation we've had, but they have no recognition of it even taking place. It hasn't effected their life, so why should it effect yours? Just smile & let it slide because it's not a personal attack on you.

I hope this gave you a few pointers & it will help you get through that never ending day! Let me know what you do to make the day go a bit quicker! : )

May & June Favourites

If you've been following my blog for a while, you might remember me mentioning another Imperial Leather shower cream which I adore & have re-purchased countless times, but on a recent shopping trip, I noticed this one in the same range. The banana shower cream smells exactly like the foam bananas you get in the pick & mix section in sweet shops! (You might have already guessed that from the picture on the bottle..) It's the most delicious smell (if you like bananas!) & I surprisingly don't find it sickly sweet which I thought I might. Definitely re-purchasing this one!

Sleek Makeup Highlighting Palette - Solstice
I have no idea how I'm going to start even writing about this palette.. I guess I should probably have a go though! Ok, firstly, just look at it. Those shades (inserts heart emoji's x100) They are just so beautiful. I took this palette on holiday with me to Corfu & I felt like a princess sitting by the pool with my sparkly cheek bones. I've never loved a highlighting palette so much.

I mentioned this polish in my What I've Been Wearing On My Nails post at the beginning of the month & I still can't rave about it enough. Not only did it stay on my nails for a week without chipping, (with no base or top coat) it looks so beautiful for Summer.

James bought me this for Christmas & I have been wearing it none stop this past month. Usually I mix up my perfumes, but I've found myself reaching for it on a daily basis. It has the most beautiful scent, I'd definitely recommend the body shop eau de toilettes if you haven't tried them, they last for ages!

I reviewed these lipsticks a few weeks ago along with the shades Red & Pink, but these two are definitely my favourites. Probably not the most appealing shades for this time of year, but as I mentioned in my review post, I've never owned a purple lipstick before & I'm so glad I decided to pick this one up! Head over to my post to read more about it!

I received this for my birthday in January in a set of three (lip scrub, lip tint & lip gloss) & will be doing a full review on them soon, but I couldn't not include the lip scrub in my favourites as I've been using it most days this month! Ever since I ran out of my Bubblegum Lip Scrub from Lush, I've been on the hunt for a cheaper alternative. I was so glad this one came into my life. Not only does it smell so nice, it leaves my lips feeling so soft & ready for my lipstick. The packaging is also super cute!

Events

Right at the end of April, we celebrated Elisa's hen do by going for dinner, cocktails & pottery painting. It was such a lovely celebration & at the end of May, she tied the knot with Jamie in our local church. It was such a perfect day & I feel massively special to be apart of it.

At the beginning of May, I travelled to Gloucester to see James for the final time as he has now finished uni! I still can't quite believe it but we are now starting a new chapter in our lives together by looking for our own place. Amazing how quick those three years have passed.

Oh I got my ear pierced! Not a massive achievement to some but it was something on my bucket list & I was so pleased I did it even though it hurt like hell.. haha!

I got to see Busted at the end of May with my girls, they were simply amazing live! We did see them when they were originally a group back in the early 2000's, so it was lovely to see them all again!

One of the most exciting things to happen this month was James & I got to see The Sidemen play at a charity football match in Southampton. We've followed the group for a while now on YouTube & it was extra special as it was my first football match. (Normally I seriously cba with football, but this was different!) They were all so amazing, so pleased I managed to get tickets!

& finally a massive highlight of this month has to be our holiday to Corfu. I got back yesterday & have a serious case of the holiday blues! There are no words to describe how amazing it was. Keep an eye out for a vlog soon!

What have you been loving this month? : )
