May & June Favourites

Lilac Nail Polish
I mean, can you get anymore Summery than a lilac nail varnish? I've found I've been reaching for my favourite pastel nail polishes lately & Utopia by Models Own has to be one of my ultimate favs. I've had it in my collection for years (I should really get another one because I'll be heartbroken when it's finished!) I'm also loving glitter polishes, who said they just have to be used at Christmas time?

I can't resist a lipstick that is easy to apply, keeps my lips in great condition & provides a healthy colour in the Summer. Well, all year round to be honest! This one is a complete bargain, only £2 in Superdrug. MUA have some of the most affordable products on the highstreet in my opinion & could be sold for a lot more.

I'm really enjoying dipping in & out of this book, especially now its warmer & I can enjoy it in the garden. It's perfect for giving you that little bit of reassurance that everything's going to be ok. I'd highly recommend it.

These have been my shoe of the Summer so far. For £4, they are an absolute steal & so so so comfy. They are perfect for work & evenings out when I can't be dealing with heels!

Garnier Summer Body Lotion
Every Summer, this lotion becomes my life saver. This year I was tempted by the darker shade & seeing as it was half price in Boots, I couldn't resist! I absolutely love how it makes my skin look beautifully tanned after just two applications, you just need to remember to keep applying it regularly otherwise it does become quite patchy.

TV

I just have no words to express how in love with this program I am. It's fully taken over my life yet again! Who is your favourite couple in there at the moment? I absolutely love Marcel & Gabby!

Events

On 21st May, James & I travelled up to London to see The Sidemen play in their second charity football match. We had such a wonderful day exploring along the Thames in the sunshine, followed by the game.

James finally got to use his birthday present from me & drive 2 super cars around a race track last month! It was so much fun watching him, vlog coming soon!

We also got the chance to go away on a mini break to Wales at the end of May, which was so lovely. I'd only ever been to Wales when I was little. It's such a beautiful place. You can read about our full adventure here if you like.

Finally, Allan & Maria's wedding. Guys, how can I say this? It was basically one of the best days ever. I've written a full post about the day which you can have a read of it you like, but everything was just so perfect. I can't wait for another wedding! Mils & Craig.. : ' )

November & December Favourites

Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo
My hair becomes so dry & brittle in the Winter, I need everything I can to make it look & feel it's best. This shampoo from Garnier has really helped over the last month or so. I absolutely love how shiny it makes my hair & the scent is just lovely too.

Barry M Nail Polish - Red
As it's Christmas, you simply can't go wrong with a red nail varnish. This one from Barry M is my favourite classic red which makes an appearance each year in December! I love wearing it with a glitter top coat, which leads me on to my next favourite..

Collection Bedazzled Nail Polish - Razzle Dazzle
I own a lot of glitter polishes, but this one didn't leave my nails through-out the month of December. It looks beautiful as a top coat over any colour. If you still need inspiration for New Years Eve, you can check out my recent post here featuring lots of sparkly nail art designs.

QiBest Lipstick - 06
I read a review on this lipstick on a blog & thought I'd give it a try. It cost £1 on Ebay & claimed to be very long-lasting & waterproof. It also has a matte finish when completely dry. I was tempted to pick up a few different shades, but ordered this one first to test it, as the postage & packaging was free. I wore it out to dinner & it seemed to last the whole evening, while I ate & drank a three course meal. I was amazed at the staying power but it did however stain my lips & took quite a while to remove it completely when I took off my makeup in the evening. However, I absolutely adore it & find wearing it totally effortless as I don't have to keep re-applying it & for £1, it's a total bargain!

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream - Light
This BB cream has totally changed my makeup routine. I love the formula as it applies so nicely to my skin & it's easy to blend into my concealer alongside the rest of my makeup. It lasts all day & evens out any blemishes. I'd highly recommend trying it if you haven't already.

Advent Chocolate
My mum bought me a Lindt advent calendar this year & it was amazing. I literally loved opening it each morning. You can never have too much chocolate in December..

Music - Justin Bieber, Sorry
Ah this song. Yes I know, Justin Bieber, you're probably thinking what's going through my mind, but seriously, I love this song (along with his new album..)

Events

There were a few birthdays we celebrated in November, including my Grandad's 88th on 17th. Every year we have a meal & small celebration at my grandparent's house. It's always so lovely to have the whole family together.

In the space of the last two months, Elisa has celebrated her baby shower, gone on maternity leave & had her beautiful daughter Lily, who was born 29th Dec 11.09am! I'm literally so excited to meet our first baby within our friendship group.

Myself & James celebrated our 3 year anniversary at the beginning of December. I went to Gloucester (where he's studying at uni) to celebrate & we went out for dinner in the evening to Coal. It was such a gem of a restaurant, we are definitely looking to go back again soon.

& finally Christmas! This is always a favourite time of year for me, I adore spending time with my family & having some time off work! December is always our busiest month with panto going on, plus films at the theatre, so some time off at home to relax is always very welcoming.

How has your year been lovelies? Any plans for 2016?

Hope you all have a lovely New Year's Eve & Day tomorrow!

Boots Haul

I'm nearly out of my current nail varnish remover & managed to pick this one up for £1. I've used it before & found it amazing for taking off nail polish & it's a total bargain!

This is a re-purchase. I absolutely adore this cleansing water, it really does live up to all the amazing reviews it gets from bloggers. It removes my makeup effortlessly & feels so gentle on the skin. Definitely worth picking up if you haven't tried it.

Oh my word. Fruit salad shower gel!? How amazing. I saw this on offer at the till & couldn't resist picking up a bottle (or two..) It smells absolutely amazing. When you're in Boots next, see if you can find some to sample. They also do a marshmallow scented shower gel, which I really wish I'd bought now!

I've never tried this before, but after browsing the hair care section, I was drawn to it. It claims to make your hair silky soft after washing, I'll have to see if it lives up to what it says. Have you tried it before?

This was a re-purchase. I love this cream for my hair. It really does tame my frizz before styling & I find my hair a lot more manageable after using it.

I've heard so much about this concealer, I just had to pick it up. This is the first time I've seen the light shade in stock. Just shows how popular this product is!

Another re-purchase. I wash my hair every 3 - 4 days & it stays non-greasy for the first two, but by 3 or 4, it needs a bit of a lift. This dry shampoo has been a life saver over the last few years for my hair, I'd definitely recommend it if you haven't tried it before.

Have you bought anything from Boots recently?

May & June Favourites

Garner Summer Body Moisturising Lotion - Light-Medium
I've used this product for years! I absolutely adore it. I'm not a massive fan of self tanning products (mainly because I suck at it!) so this moisturiser is perfect for me. It gradually tans your skin & moisturises at the same time.

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser
I've been on the hunt for the perfect primer for so long & now this one has come into my life, I think it's changed it forever. That sounded dramatic. But it's true. This primer is a dream! It's so easy to apply & feels weightless on the skin. It really does make your face feel so smooth, ready for your foundation. I tried a primer from Rimmel previous to this one & just didn't get on with it. Plus, I haven't even used much of the product & find I've already had to squeeze the tube. It was really bad value for money. But back to Maybelline! Now I've found this primer, I'm never changing back!

I already own two other gel eye shadows by Maybelline & adore them. They seem to last forever & have a gorgeous pigmentation. I wanted to pick this pink shade up because it just screams Spring / Summer. I've been wearing it constantly this month!

Primark Rollers
Since I've had my hair cut, I've been trying to use less heat on my hair. I've been on the hunt for some rollers to use as opposed to 'attempting' to use my straighteners to curl my hair. (I'm hopeless at it!) These rollers are £1 for 8, so I got two packets as they're the smallest ones Primark sell. I prefer that though. They create the cutest of curls.

I always like to have two / three shampoos on the go at once & as you guys know I love a good bargain. I always try to pick up new shampoos & conditioners when they're on offer. I'm the most lazy person ever when it comes to washing my hair & will do anything to avoid doing it! Haha. Therefore, I need an efficient shampoo that gets the job done fast & has brilliant results. My hair was quite brittle at the bottom before my hair cut, so this shampoo has been a life saver as it helps restore damaged hair. The only thing that I'm not too keen on is the smell, but it is quite subtle so it isn't too big of a deal.

April Favourites

I have to admit, I picked this product up because of the hype around it but I don't regret it one bit! This product has changed my evening routine. I'm one of those lazy people that hate taking off their makeup at night. By the time I think about it, I'm too tired & just want to get into bed. I love that you don't have to rinse this product off, it's as simple as using as much as you need on a cotton pad & just lightly washing your face. Ideal for lazy people like myself!

James bought me this candle for Valentines Day & you can see, I've nearly burnt it all! I'm definitely going to Clintons to re-purchase it. It's such a beautiful scent & such good value, I'd say it was on par with the Yankee Candles, but a lot more affordable.

Nails Inc Express Nail Polish Remover
As I mentioned, I'm a lazy person. This nail polish remover has been a complete dream come true. If you're not familiar with the product, all you have to do is simply dip your finger into the pot which is filled with sponges & you twist the pot to rub the nail against the sides. It's so easy to do & the nail varnish comes off within seconds. I picked this Nails Inc one up in the Boots clearance section, I seriously couldn't believe my luck!

This song, just wow. Sammi mentioned the band Odesza in her favourites not long ago which prompted me to search for them on YouTube. Some of their songs aren't to my taste, but this one has been on repeat for me all month!

I bought this lip liner from Save On Makeup, a website that sells a mixture of high & low end beauty products. I'm seriously in love with this lip liner! Not only is the colour gorgeous & goes with so many of my lipsticks, but it's very long lasting. I tend to wear lipstick most days & have found that this lip liner stays on a lot longer than a lot of my lipsticks! I really need to purchase a nude & a red shade to complete my collection.

I've heard mixed reviews about this mascara but I'm convinced it's the perfect one for day time wear. The mascara claims to 'volumise & define the look of longer lashes' which I totally agree that is does. The best thing about this mascara for me is not only the price but the fact my eyelashes hold a long lasting curl all through the day. With previous mascaras, my lashes seem to fall flat & lose their curl within a couple of hours, so I was over the moon when I noticed how well this one compares!

I love tea. Anyone that knows me will know that. However, when I've been eating out or having a catch up with the girls, I've been ordering Earl Grey. I was always a Breakfast Tea kinda girl, but since receiving a lose leaf tea strainer for my birthday, I ventured out & purchased the Finest Earl Grey from Tesco. Even though it takes more time than just putting a tea bag in a mug & adding hot water, it's so worth it. I find the making of the tea to be as relaxing as drinking it. Nothing beats snuggling up in the evenings with my favourite brew.
