Nails #12

Rimmel - Too Cool To Tango / Chit Chat - Rio

This glitter polish made my day. I was walking round Poundland, looking for some tacky Halloween items, when I saw this sitting on the shelf. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations (only being a pound) but I'm like a magpie with shiny things.. So I picked it up & wow. I'm in love : )

Nails Inc - Savile Row

This has to be my favourite Autumn / Winter polish. It's so beautiful. It reminds me of melted chocolate. : )

Primark - 03

A simple glitter I picked up from Primark last year. I'm started to get Christmasy really early this year so this was on my nails in the middle of November!

La Femma Beauty - Electric Blue / L'oreal - Confetti

Mmm, more Christmasy nails. This combo has to be one of my favourites. You've all seen me mention this stunning top coat before. I just adore it.

Models Own - Balearic Cool  / Models Own nail art pens in white, black & pink

& finally my most Christmasy design of the year.. SNOWMEN. I know they aren't the neatest, but I was so chuffed with this little guy.

Are you all ready for Christmas? Which is your favourite polish this season?

Christmas Gifts Feat. ASOS

Cath Kidston Balm Trio -
How adorable are these? Perfect for the colder months were everyone's lips seem to be suffering. Mine especially. I'd welcome these with open arms..

Nails Inc Christmas Crackers -
These would be fabulous at Christmas.. just a shame my family are mostly male & wouldn't appreciate getting a nail varnish in their cracker. ; )

Snowman Mittens -
Again, adorable. These little snowmen will keep you smiling for the whole of Winter.

Rudolph Onesie -
This made me laugh, hence why it's included in this wishlist. How cute are the antlers?!

Gold Glitter Watch -
Again, if it's ever the time to have some sparkle in your life, it's at Christmas. Is your not into fancy dresses or heels, a subtle touch with your jewellery can make an outfit.

Glitter Boots -
When I'm not living at work, Christmas is all about the parties & celebrations. These boots are perfect with a little black dress & a red lip.

Miniture Bath & Shower Gels -
I love bubble baths in the colder months. There's something so comforting about coming home from a hard days work, having a bath with tons of bubbles & cuddling up in your pjs.. heaven. : )

What's on your Christmas wishlist?

Life At The Moment #51

Nandos & Christmas shopping day with the boy / New bedside lamp from Ikea / Dinner at Ikea / Printing off memories / NOTW / Bought this from an old sweetshop.. yum / FOTD / Tea & cakes round Bo's / Harv modelling his new hat / Cakes / Snuggles with my girl on a Sunday morning / NOTW / Autumn walk with Harv / Night world / Favourite Autumn nails.

Hello lovelies.

You wouldn't believe it, but I'm still aching from Sunday. Why you ask? I went go-karting for James' dad's birthday. Obviously this isn't a big deal to many of you, but it was my first time.. against people that had been at least 10 times before & were all men bar one. And being the most careful driver on normal roads it felt weird to actually 'go faster than what is safe'. We had two 15 minute races & I don't understand why but my body hates me for going now. I drove to work yesterday & had to physically lift my left leg to change gear every time with my hand! Hahaha.

Also, work is so stressful & busy at the moment. So many people are booking late for panto as well as other shows & cinema performances. I worked out I only have 5 days off between now & Christmas. Bring it onnnnn.

How are you all? Looking forward to Christmas? : )

Nails #11

Models Own - Balearic Cool

This is one of my favourite shades by Models Own. I don't have many plain shades from them, most of my collection is glitters but I just fell in love with this one.

Models Own - Balearic Cool & Models Own nail art pen in white.

& it looked even cuter with polka dots.

Ciate - Caviar Pearls Shotting Star & L'Oreal - Sequin Explosion

This is one of my favourite nail arts I've done in a while. I couldn't resist purchasing this glitter from L'Oreal after walking past it over 3 times & finally picking it up. I love using it with nude shades underneath & this one by Ciate is perfect.

ELF - Dark Navy & L'Oreal - Sequin Explosion

These nails got so much attention.. I can't imagine why.. haha! I could confess my love for this glitter all day you know..
Sinful Colors - Pink Forever & Models Own nail art pen in white

Pink is probably my most used colour in my nail varnish collection. I wore this for our girls night out a few weeks ago - perfect with a little black dress & a pair of high heels.
What are you favourite nail polishes at the moment?

Cotswold Wildlife Park

Hello lovelies,

I mentioned in my last Life At The Moment post that I went to visit James up in Gloucestershire a few weeks back. One of the days I was up there, we travelled to the Cotswold Wildlife Park about an hour away. It was such a lovely little place, with a huge range of animals & beautiful grounds.

Here are a few of my favourite snaps. : )

Have you visited the zoo recently? Which is your favourite animal?

Life At The Moment #50

Honey on her birthday / Cheers / Girls night / NOTW / Our charity giraffe / OOTD / Cutest cottage ever / Tongue action / Hot chocolates from Starbucks / NOTW / Mum's birthday presents / Travelling to James' uni / Visiting the zoo / Pumpkin time! / Dressing up for work.

Hello lovelies!

How was your Halloween? Mine was spent at work, dressed up as a.. well.. not sure what I was exactly. A bit of blood & black lipstick goes a long way though!

I went up to visit James at uni last week. We visited the local wildlife park & I got the closest I've ever been to a real giraffe. Very exciting moment for me, they are so beautiful. : ) Speaking of giraffes, we have a trail to find 51 of them for charity in our town. Our one is Peter Pan themed (that's our panto this year) & they are being decorated & auctioned off for charity in the next few weeks.

It was also my mum's & Honey's birthdays last month. We celebrated with lots of cake & gifts (for both of them ; D)

How are you all lovelies? Can't believe we're in November now!

Fragrances From Next

Hello lovelies!

I've found people have already started asking me what I want for Christmas, have you been asked yet? It's still over 2 months away but I can't really blame them. Christmas will soon be here & the list of people to buy for I swear gets longer every year. Anyway, when people ask me this question, I really don't know what to say. You don't want to say the same thing to more than one person in case you get duplicates, but at the same time, saying nothing means you could end up with something totally random & a waste of that persons money.

One thing I've found to say to people when they ask me is perfume.

Obviously you need to know which one to ask for as everyone has different favourites & you could end up with one that your nan used to wear. (nothing wrong with that but if it reminds you of old lady smell, maybe it's best you write down the name!)

I blogged last year about one of my favourite day time fragrances by Next called Forever Love. I still stand by saying that is one of my absolute favourites. Since then, I haven't been able to resist popping into Next & testing their fragrances as I absolutely fell in love with this one. They are so beautiful & cheap, you really can't say no.

I went shopping yesterday & couldn't make up my mind so instead of picking just one, I chose three. They seem to have a big range in at the moment! So I chose the smallest bottles of each of the three fragrances to test them. What I love about Next is their sizing of bottles. They do a small, medium & large bottle of most of their perfumes (some just a large & small) & usually a large bottle is between £10-15. Perfect for a personal Christmas gift. I'd previously bought Forever Love in the largest bottle  (75ml) & that almost lasted me a year.

Anyway! On to the ones I chose:

£4 - Next Eau De Parfum - Sparkle

"A radiant floriental with sparkling citrus & luminous floral notes wrapped in precious woods."

£3.50 - Next Eau De Toilette - Diamonds

"An opulent white floral fragrance entwined with fresh fruit nectars & crystalline musks."

£4 - Next Eau De Parfum - Gold

"A dazzling fragrance with golden flower nectars, gloriously sweet vanilla & molten amber."

I have to be the most rubbish person at describing scents & besides, you'll never know the actual scent until you go & smell for yourself! But I've copied the short description on the back of each fragrance to give you a rough idea.

Have you tried any of the next fragrances?
What's your favourite if you have? : )

Recent Nails #10

Rimmel - Tangy Tangerine

This was my go to shade over Summer. I love a pastel orange & this one is simply stunning. It's not bright or in your face, just the perfect shade for holidays in the sun, especially coming home with a tan.

2True - Shade 15 & Miss Sporty - Sparkle Touch

These looked a lot better in person than they do here. The glitter polish is one of my favourites & luckily it's one of the easiest to remove polishes I've come across. Nothing worse than scrubbing at your nails for hours & the glitter not budging.

Missguided - Misschievous

I adore this shade. I think I got it free in a magazine a while ago, it's so gorgeous & easy to apply.

Missguied - Misschievous & Models Own nail art pen in black

Again, I couldn't resist making them a bit more quirky by adding some polka dots & turning them into 'lady bird' nails.

Have you got a favourite polish lined up for Autumn / Winter?
& if you liked this post, make sure you check out my other nail related blogs. : )

Life At The Moment #49

Cosy day with my girl / Stella sleeping / OOTD / Lazy Sunday / Watching my 'little brother' play football / NOTW / NOTW with polka dots / My dad made me a flower press, so cute / Plait for messy hair / Honey & what was supposed to be her birthday present (a month early) / Christmas is coming! / Tea & cake with these two lovelies at work / Hello cutie / NOTW / Chair-o-planes / Beautiful beach / The best ice creams ever / OOTD / Lazy babies / OOTD / Walking with this cutie / We're weird.. we know.. / NOTW / James sent me flowers & chocs to work : ) / On the beach before he went home.

Wow, it's nearly been a month since I've done a Life At The Moment.

I want to do a full post on this but I'll quickly mention, myself & mum took a long weekend break to Exmoor a few weeks back. It was so nice to go away just the two of us.

Also, James came down for his first weekend back after starting uni. He's absolutely loving it despite being ill for the majority of freshers! We managed to squeeze in a meal out on Friday night followed by a day out with friends to Littlehampton to play Crazy Golf (which I'd never done before!) & went crabbing on Saturday. I can't wait to go up & visit him in three weeks time.

How have you all been?
I'm seriously lacking blogging wise recently, I need to get back on it! : D

Inspiration

These shoes! They are so so so adorable.

I wish I looked this effortless all the time.

Big sunnies & a denim jacket. Need I say more?

Ah these beautiful shorts & a bit of tie-dye. Totally won me over.

Did I mention I have this top? I'm going to have to try styling it with a plait.

Her hairrrrr. If I had the patience to do this every day I would.

What's inspired you this month?

Snug As A Bug

Hey lovelies : )

Just a quick post today on some adorable jumpers I've been lusting over. After all.. you can never prepare for the cold weather too early in England.. : )

Burgundy Sheep Jumper - How adorable is this? Seriously. It's so cute. I actually fell in love with this when I felt how soft it was. Almost like stroking a real sheep.. (& yes I do that often being a farm girl ; D)

Chunky Boucle Jumper - I just adore this style of jumper. It looks adorable with it's high neck & dipped hem. The colour just adds to the perfectness.

Popcorn Textured Jumper - Again, if you get the chance, go & feel this jumper. It's so soft & warm. You'll fall in love.

Topshop Quilted Jumper - This one looks so snug, who could turn it down?

Tie Dye Galaxy Jumper - How fantastic is this? Yes I realise it's not everyone's taste, but galaxy print is just stunning.

Florescent Chunky Knit - I just had to include something pink in this post. At such a reasonable price of less than £10, I want to pick up more than just the one colour.

Which is your favourite?

Adventure Time - Crabbing!

Hello lovelies : )

So, yesterday was a sad day. I had to say goodbye to my boyfriend as he headed off to university for a possible 7 years to become a fully qualified vet. Last Thursday was our last full day together as I was working Friday & he left yesterday, so we decided to go crabbing, something I'd never done before & always wanted to do.

So we packed up the car with a bucket, some bacon & my camera & headed to the beach.

My lovely excited face at the end there, haha.

We actually managed to catch about 15 crabs in under an hour, which isn't bad seeing as I was like an excited child & kept pulling my line out before it had even hit the bottom! They seemed to love the bacon (& just incase anyone is wondering, we didn't use a hook & we threw all the crabs back into the sea after catching them). They also had a nice bucket of water, complete with some shells & seaweed to play in.

After crabbing, we went out for dinner at our local Chinese & then headed to the pub to meet up with some friends.

I wore my beautiful new dress from ASOS which luckily had an elastic waist as we ate far too much at the all-you-can-eat buffet.

Have you ever been crabbing before? : )

Life At The Moment #48

Black & white / NOTW / NOTW with spots / Puppy dog eyes / YES! Excited to watch this / Maybelline Baby Lips, wanted this for so long, post here / I love him / Selling merch at work / Date with this fatty / New dress / This whale sits over my head every day at work / DOUGHNUTS / Cake / Breakfast in bed / Squeeze / Standard dinner on the beach / Windy beach / Sunshine / NOTW #2 / Found this little guy covered in mud in the garden

So, today has been emotional.

I won't go into details, but I had a customer reduce me to tears at work & we've started the countdown into the last week James has until uni starts. He'll be moving 3 hours away - which to be fair, isn't the greatest distance I know, but after days like today, it would be nice to know he was just around the corner for a cuddle.

I had a visitor in my garden when I came home today too. That little bird you can see there was covered in mud & unable to move. After a bit of squawking, pecking, cleaning & putting powder on his wounds, he was fit to be released.

How has your weekend been?

Maybelline Baby Lips

You have no idea how long I've been hunting for this product. It seems to have sold out every time I've ventured into Boots or Superdrug. But finally.. I found it!

If you haven't heard about Maybelline's new lip product, where have you been?! This product not only claims to moisturise your lips for up to 8 hours, but also adds a hint of pigmentation.

As most of you know, I'm a pink girl at heart so I just had to go for the pinkest shade in the collection - Pink Punch. These lip balms are totally affordable & retail for £2.99 in Boots.

I absolutely love the packaging - seriously how cute is it?

They apply so easily onto the lips but I find myself applying them at least once every two hours, sometimes more. The colour does last, but fades after a while. My lips do feel moisturised after wearing the balm, but it definitely needs applying more than every eight hours.

What do you think of this balm? Have you tried any of the other shades?

I'm thinking of purchasing Cherry Me & Peach Kiss next time I'm in town. : )

Ebay Wish List

Leather jacket - I've become obsessed with finding the perfect leather jacket. I love this one, so simple & perfect to add to a skater dress to harden up your look. I think it might be the one..

White platforms - I've been after these for ages, but the seller never seems to have the white in stock. They are such a statement piece. Need them in my life..

Sunflower shorts - Aren't these pretty? They scream Summer & I know we're heading into Autumn / Winter, but they would be fab for next year.

Cut-out boots - I just need these. They are so beautiful.

Essie nail varnish - It amazes me how cheap you can get Essie polishes online. I'm in love with this shade. You can never go wrong with a baby pink.

Maxi dress - Again, how adorable? This seller I've found does this dress in every shade you can imagine, so if pink isn't your first choice, there's tons of other options & being less than £11, why not stock up on two or three?

Floral crown - I still haven't got one of these in my life. And yes I know, it takes a very brave & stylish person to pull one of these off outside of a festival, but can't I just have it to wear round my garden & pretend I'm a fairy?

Above the knuckle rings - I'm way behind on this trend, but 99p for 5? Can't complain at that.

Life At The Moment #47

Good hair day for once.. / Sunny dog walk / Sausage / Trying on some spots / Shopping ootd / Baby with her doughnut / I look 15, natural face! / Pudding at Charlie Choys - yum! / Girls / Baby sitting my best friends chinchillas / Glasses / New case / Pug dress / Fav dinner / Grumpy sausage / Happy birthday Lorna / Dinner / Girls / Myself & Lorna / I felt like Pocahontas / Tarmac is adorable / Tea & birthday cake / Happy birthday Elisa / PUG BEDDING / NOTW

So many birthdays this month!

Firstly we celebrated Lorna's at our local last week & Elisa's last Saturday. It rained all day on Saturday so instead of the original plan of a bike ride & picnic, we spent the day watching films, eating takeaway & playing board games. Oh & a round of pass the parcel. : )

So now I'm off to work, thinking it'll be quiet as it's such a lovely day & a bank holiday.

How are you all spending your long weekends?

Collection Eyeshadow Pencils

I've been a bad blogger. I don't often break the rules, but I have on this occasion.

I bought a new product & didn't photography it before using it. SHOCK HORROR.
Yes I know, cue the dirty looks..

I bought these two beauties about 2 weeks ago in town & stayed at James' for two days after purchasing them & didn't have my camera with me. I just couldn't resist trying them. So, I do apologise for the 'used' pictures. But doesn't it show how much love I have for them? I think so.

I picked up Vintage Blush & Hot Chocolate, two of the lovely shades Collection have released in these beautiful eyeshadow pencils. I bought them from Boots, currently on offer for £2.50, but I know they are also available in Superdrug for a similar price.

A lot of people have compared them to the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadows, which is actually quite a fair judgement. However, I think I actually prefer these. They are half the price & are a lot easier to blend & apply.

I'm absolutely in love with both these shades. Vintage Blush is the perfect shade if your going for a natural day look & Hot Chocolate is for those summer evenings out with a glass of wine.

I've found both shades do last all day (they do sometimes show crease lines but you can easily blend them with your finger) & are incredibly pigmented. The only downside to them is you have to sharpen them, they don't come with a twisted base to push up the product, which is quite deceiving when you first see them. However, it's not going to stop me going back to Boots to stock up on more shades!

Have you tried these new eyeshadow pencils?
