OOTD - Blue Mist

Cami & jeans - Primark / Sandals - New Look

Hello lovelies, hope you're all well.

I'm so happy to finally get my Spring shoes out! (even though I only kept these on in the car to James' house.. it still counts!)

I picked up these jeans from Primark a few weeks ago & after trying on about 6 pairs (why is jean shopping so complicated!?) I managed to find the perfect pair. I have a pair of black skinnies that I wear ALL the time, so a blue pair was very much needed, since my last ones died a few months ago. Also, I can't not mention the cuteness of this top. Again, another bargain in Primark. I'm lovin' the swing style that's in at the moment.

Myself & James were planning on having a picnic today, but the weather isn't looking promising! Think I'm going to try to convince him to do a bit of baking with me before booking our holiday tonight! Excited : )

How was your weekend?

Nivea Lip Butter - Raspberry Rose

Afternoon lovelies! Hope you're all well.

I thought I'd show you one of my latest purchases, the Nivea Lip Butter. My mum actually got this in a set for Christmas & it just smelled so good I had to go out & buy my own!

First of all, the packaging. I love it, so simple & but very true to the product. The lip butter, as you'd expect has a very creamy texture & although it's light pink in pigmentation, it appears white / opaque on the lips.

I suffer from very dry lips all through out the year. Using a product like this as a base & top coat for a lipstick really does make a difference. I usually put it on before bed so it can soak in over night & then as a top coat over lipsticks in the daytime.

Even if your not a fan of this type of lip product, all you need to do is go & smell it & it'll win you over. Seriously. : )

What have you been wearing on your lips recently?

Life At The Moment #53

Afternoon lovelies,

So let's start at the beginning of the week. Last Sunday myself & James kicked into fitness mode & as the sun was shinning, it was the perfect time to get those trainers on & go for a run. It didn't take long before I was puffing & panting & creased over with a stitch, but my legs hurt for the next three days which meant I'd accomplished something right? Not the best look when I had to keep bending down at work for envelopes & getting stuck on a Monday morning..

Also last weekend, we made a trip to Brighton. I love going on the pier in the sunshine & playing on the 2p machines. Nothing beats the feeling of excitement you get when a load fall into your tray!

Now, unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know this month is Sports Relief! We never usually do anything to raise money at work, but this year I was determined to get us involved. So I decided on a onesie day! I managed to get all my colleagues who worked on box office & who steward during the day, plus one manager, to dress up! I'm currently in Gloucester this weekend, but I'm excited to see how much we've actually raised when I count it up on Monday. The amount of support we got was amazing, so thankyou to everyone who donated, sponsored or bought cakes from us!

So, like I just mentioned, this weekend I'm up in Gloucester visiting James. (He's currently playing in a football match so it gives me an excuse to blog!) On Thursday, he took me to Frankie & Benny's for the first time. I actually love it, there was so much choice on the menu. I ended up having steak & chips & James had a burger, plus we shared a massive pudding & a bit of garlic bread on the side. Maybe we need to go for a run more often..

Oh & I can't go without showing you my gorgeous new smock dress from Karma Clothing. It was the perfect date night outfit, paired with some chunky boots & a cardi.

How has your week been?

OOTD - Blue Lagoon

Pug jumper - Karma Clothing / Dress - Select Clothing / Converse - Schuh
Afternoon lovelies, hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather we've been having!

Myself & James headed down to Brighton yesterday. We haven't been for ages so it was the perfect opportunity to gather our 2p's & head to the pier. Of course, I couldn't resist taking some outfit photos (despite it being extremely windy..) & ordering the biggest portion of chicken fried rice imaginable.

I absolutely adore this maxi dress from Select Clothing. Am I the only person becoming obsessed with electric blue? It's such a stunning colour to wear in the Spring / Summer. Also, how could I not mention & show you this gorgeous pug jumper from Karma Clothing? It was such a steal for £9.99. I added my trusty Converse for a chilled vibe (& because I couldn't face wearing boots or heels & walking up that hill to the train station..)

How has your weekend been?

Life At The Moment #52

Morning lovelies : )

I love how all my updates involve food.. maybe it's telling me I eat waaaay too much.. mmm.

Myself & James went for breakfast at our local farm shop a few weeks back. They do the best hot chocolates as you can see. We always have a full English when we go there, perfect for a lazy Sunday morning. They have a strawberry pick-your-own field in Summer too, which we're going to be living in I can tell!

I also went up to visit James in Gloucester weekend before last & he took me to the local pub for lunch (he needed a break as I'd been dragging him round Primark for 2 hours before hand..) so he got the biggest burger possible & I had fish & chips.

Again.. more food! Myself & the girls went to see War Horse last week as part of the national theatre live broadcasts they do in cinemas. We had a meal beforehand at the Beefeater, puddings are always the best there! The actual show of War Horse was fantastic too. I can't believe how life-like the puppets are. Have you seen the production? I have to say the film made me cry way more, but the detail that went into making the horses come to life was incredible.

Ah, the first outfit post of the year! & the suns out too, what a bonus! I did a full post on this outfit so I won't go into too much detail, but I adore the print. I have to say, foxes are growing on me.

This picture makes me hungry. I'm rubbish at making pancakes, so I met the girls for tea in town & managed to wolf these down before heading to work. What do you eat your pancakes with? I have to say, I'm usually a chocolate sauce or lemon girl, but the bacon just smelled so good I couldn't resist!

& finally, celebrating my best friend's 23rd birthday last weekend. Most of you who read my blog will know I'm not a clubbing fan anymore. But I had the most awesome night out, & the best part was, I was sober & spent £2.30 on a lemonade & got to take my friends home safely too. Just shows you don't need to drink to have a good time. : )

What have you been up too recently?

Nails #13

Hello lovelies!

I thought we were over due a nail post, so here are a few I've been wearing over the past few months.

Top left: Sinful Colors - Pink Forever & Barry M - Silver Glitter.
Now these were my birthday nails! I have to admit, I go over the top with pink & glitter when it's my birthday.. & not just on my nails.. I mean everything! I love doing the 'dip-dye' effect with a glitter polish, just adds that little something extra.

Top right: NYC - Mint Macaroon & L'Oreal - Confetti.
Not sure what the occasion was for these nails but I think they are perfect for Easter. They remind me of a speckled egg!

Bottom left: Accessorize - Blackberry.
Not very appropriate as we're coming into Spring & now the weather has transformed here in the UK, but I can't seem to get enough of this shade.

Bottom right: Barry M - Silver Glitter.
These were my nails for Dave & Debbie's wedding last month. I had a dark red dress with silver accessories so this varnish matched perfectly. It's one of my favourites. Unlike most glitter polishes, it's so easy to remove. You don't have to sit there for hours soaking & scrubbing your nails in varnish remover! Perfect as I find that one of the most frustrating things ever!

Which is your favourite design?
I'm about to go have a rummage in my collection for some pastels now as the sun has come out! : )

OOTD - Foxy Lady

Hat - Ebay / Smock fox dress - ASOS / Tights & belt - Primark / Converse - Schuh / Nails - Accessorize, Blackberry / Rings - Etsy & F. Hinds / Watch - F. Hinds / Lipstick - Star Pink
 Morning lovelies!

This was my outfit a few days ago when I went into town to meet the girls for a catchup & some pancakes! Can you believe it was actually sunny when I first started taking these photos, then the clouds came over. Gah hurry up Spring! Anyway, on to the outfit! I'm absolutely in love with this new smock dress I got from ASOS. I picked it up in the sale (I remember it being massive among bloggers a few months back) & I can easily see why. I do really like the over-sized smock look, but this one resembles a tent! I paired it with a old trusty Primark belt & converse to give it a chilled vibe. Also, I can't fail to mention my new hat. How adorable is this?! I managed to find one on Ebay, as none of the ones I'd previously found in any high street stores had been calling my name. I picked this one up for around £7 (that included postage) Such a bargain.

I went to a Customer Training Course yesterday up in London. You have no idea how scared & important I felt! Most of you know, I work in my local theatre / cinema & so the idea of the course was to get new ideas for up-selling & understanding customer behaviour. It was actually very interesting, & although I was so so so nervous (mainly about the course but also the travelling up there) I had the most lovely people around me that I was so grateful for. I'm actually excited to go into work today & try out the new ideas.. it must have been a good course eh? : )

& finally, lent has begun. It's totally snuck up on me this year, I haven't even thought about what to give up..
Have you given up anything?
