OOTD - American Obsession

Top - Republic / Shorts - New Look / Earrings & Necklace - Topshop / Bracelets - Primark & Dorothy Perkins / Nails - ELF Mint Cream & Lilac / Lips - Amped by Sleek Make-up.

Hey dolls!

Not often you get to see my face on here - you lucky things. ; )

I'm in love with this top, definitely one of my favourites for Summer & these amazingly hot days the UK has been having recently. Paired with shorts, it's my current go-to outfit. I know it's the Jubilee this coming weekend, but I'm seriously becoming obsessed with anything with the American flag on.. not very patriotic but still..

I'm off to Brighton with Gemma today, we're taking on the beach, pier & shops. Can't wait to add a few new maxi skirts to my collection. (& maybe a pair of American shorts..)

Hope you're all well lovelies. : )

OH & I got an e-mail the other day that my blog would be deleted by the end of May unless I did something?! I've lost the e-mail & can't find anything about it online.. help guys?!

Revlon Lip Butter

Buying these wasn't really a choice, it was a necessity.

Could that sentence sound any more dramatic?! Haha. But seriously, everyone has been talking about these lip butters. Once my Boots had finally re-stocked them, I couldn't help but pick one up.

After trying & falling in love with the Berry Smoothie, I went back & purchased Sweet Tart. So now I own two. I can see this ending badly..

They retail at £7.99 (currently £2 off so I got Sweet Tart for £5.99!) & in my opinion, totally worth it. I always wear lipstick but find it dries out my lips really quickly. The lip butter is perfect for me, it manages to provide long lasting colour, while keeping my lips moisturised.

Have you tried any of the lip butters? What do you think of them?

NOTW #9

Hey guys, how are you all?

Another nail varnish from Models Own to show you, it's called Disco Mix.

I thought this would be quite a thick varnish, but when I first applied it to my nails, it was more a glitter top coat & came out quite watery. Obviously, if you apply a few more coats you can achieve this look. I used three in total.

So in love with glitter polishes right now!

Hope you all have fab weekends. : )

Week In Photos #6

Pete's 24th birthday cake / Honey Loops, my favourite cereal / Models Own - Disco Mix (post coming soon) / Revlon Lip Butter - Berry Smoothie (post coming soon) / My new crochet top from Mum / Sleepy Harv / Cosmo - only £2! / Dinner / Puzzles with Mum / New shampoo / Rainy garden, again / Tea & custard creams, yum / Sleepy Honey Pot / Heart stone my Mum brought back from the beach for me / Models Own Nail Art pens (post here)

This past week has been pretty good. Celebrated Pete's 24th birthday all weekend, starting with bowling on Friday, a night out on Saturday & then a comedy night on Sunday. There was one amazing girl, Kate Lucas, who you can check out on Youtube (I didn't film this, just found it) and on Twitter. And this guy, Nick Beaton - he's also on Twitter & Youtube. Let me know if you like either of them. : )

I finally got my hands on a Revlon lip butter, they've been so popular, my Boots has only just got some stock back in! Doing a post on it later on this week, so check back if you want to see it in more detail.

& today, for some strange reason.. IT'S SUNNY IN THE UK! Yes, this has put me in a very good mood I have to say. : ) Hope you're all having a good week lovelies, I'm off to read my book & chill in the garden. : )

Models Own Nail Art Pens

As you all know, I love my nail polishes. I especially love looking at all your blog posts that feature nail art. It amazes me how creative you all are with different colours, patterns & themes. So, when my mum came home the other day with two Models Own nail art pens for me, I couldn't wait to try them.

I'm rubbish when it comes to keeping a steady hand when painting my nails. Yeah, I can manage to paint a solid colour, but when it comes to patterns or anything slightly difficult, I wobble & have to start again. This annoys me as I'm the most impatient person - so having to start again & wait for the different varnishes to dry is painful. However, I can't really complain about the actual nail art pens.

These both come with two different ways to apply the paint, a very fine nib at the top for precise designs like dots & shapes & a long thin brush that is perfect for lines & stripes. Besides the fact it took me ages to work out how to get the lid off to access where the fine nib was, it's very well designed.

I've only tried a very simple design so far, but what do you think? The base coat is Mystic Mauve by Models Own. Have you tried any nail art pens or have any you recommend?

Dear Readers

I've seen these posts on quite a few blogs lately & love the idea of them, so I thought I'd try one on this rainy Monday.

Dear Mr Postman; Thankyou so much for delivering Pete's birthday present. I can finally stop stressing & checking Ebay every day. I'm sorry Honey usually manages to tear apart the mail after you put everything so slowly & carefully through our letter box..

Dear Becky, Gemma & Cathy; I can't actually wait for our holiday. Bring on the sunshine. And the men. ; )

Dear Weather; Why are you so sunny when I'm working & rain on my days off. It's not cool. Please start being more considerate. Thx.

Dear Honey; I love our morning cuddles, but hate the fact you try to remove all the mud from your morning walk on my bed. Its not nice to roll in during the night.

Dear Pete; Thankyou for looking after me so much these past couple of weeks, I don't know where I'd be without you.

Dear Quiz Master Pat; You better have hot chocolate this week or I'll be bringing more instant packets in. No, I'm not joking..

Dear Cole; Thankyou so much for my ear cuff, I seriously love it & haven't stopped wearing it. : )

NOTW #8

Evening ladies. : )

Yes.. another nail post. And it's another Models Own. Sorrrry.

I'm just totally obsessed with all the different shades & colours you can get from this brand. Copper Pot is such a beautiful golden shade, it just makes me think of sandy beaches, which makes me think of holidays, which puts me in a Summer mood. : ) You can't really go wrong.

Hope you all have a good weekend lovelies.

Week In Photos #5

Gemma's 21st birthday night out / Strawberry cheesecake pudding / Face & holding my lipstick interestingly / Swallow scarf / May might just be my favourite month.. ever.. / Sorting my wardrobe / Outfit / Ear cuff I ordered from Cole arrived (post to come) / Pink Fizz Models Own obsession  / Outfit #2 / Copper Pot Models Own obsession #2 / Sleepy Harv.

It feels like I haven't really done much this week but I've been so busy.

I bought that striped shirt from Primark this week, along with the swallow scarf. I was so tempted to get the cream giraffe one too, but decided I didn't need both going into Summer. However, a lady came into work yesterday wearing it & I've regretted it ever since.. so annoying.

I went to visit my friend & his beautiful bear of a dog on Thursday. We watched The Holiday (which I'd never seen, shameful I know) & The Emperor's New Groove. Omg, how amazing is that film. I couldn't stop giggling the whole way through.

I'm also becoming totally obsessed with Models Own nail polishes. It's unhealthy. Every time I go to Boots, I just pick up two more. I blame the special offer. (2 for £8) Gets me everytime.

Hope you're all well girls & having a relaxing Sunday lovelies. : )

Jewellery Haul x 2

Hello lovelies.

Sorry I haven't been blogging much, I just haven't really been inspired too recently. I've been working alot & sorting out other general life things, blogging has totally taken a back seat, which I hate.

Anyway, I thought I'd show you a couple of things I picked up in the Dorothy Perkins & Topshop sales. I seemed to pick up all silver in Dorothy P's & all gold in Topshop.. weird. : ) Oh & I definitely recommend going & having a look at both sales, they've got some gorgeous items in at the moment.

Dorothy Perkins

1. Double chain ring - £1 - I've been looking for a ring like this for ages. I'm really into rings at the moment, adding the chain just makes it different to any of the ones I already own so I had to snatch it up.

2. Collar necklace - £1 - This was originally £10 can you believe!? I wasn't going to spend that much on it as it's quite a unique piece, I've got to try to figure out what to wear it with. : /

3. Ball & cross bracelet - £1 - Another obsession of mine that is growing & growing.. (you'll notice this in the Topshop items I picked up too) is crosses. I've got a pair of earrings, a necklace & ring so I thought I better add to the collection & get a bracelet. Besides, who could resist this at just £1!?

4. Double cross ring - £2 - I think this ring is actually down to £1 now as well, but I still thought it was amazing for £2. Again.. crosses. I know.. I'm going to be swamped in them soon..

Topshop

1. Set of 4 gold rings - £3.75 - These were half price in the sale, two of them are plain gold, the other two are slightly patterned with vertical stripes. I've been wearing two on my index finger & two on my middle finger, they are so gorgeous.

 2. Silver & gold cross necklace - £2.50 - Ladies & gentleman, my new favourite necklace. Nothing else to say really. : )

3. Cross ear cuff - £1.50 - Yes I know, another cross. But look how cute it is! Looks amazing paired with this necklace.

So that's it lovelies. Have you been to either of these sales & picked up anything nice? If you have anymore cross jewellery items you recommend, send them to meee. #TotallyObsessed
