I finally managed to go to the best breakfast place in our town. And order the most un-necessary of breakfasts as you can see. Mine were the chocolate covered pancakes & James had the waffles. We actually couldn't finish what was on our plates, it was so filling!

 

I also managed to catch up with one of my best girlies this week. We had tea, cakes & watched continuous episodes of the Vampire Diaries! Oh my gosh, she's got me addicted. Anyone else love this program as much as us? (No spoilers please.. only on series one so far!)

 

Oh & the boyfriend has now left me again for another 2 weeks. No, not back to Africa but to France. Ah! I need a holiday! Have any of you lovelies been or are going away this year?

Barry M - Prickly Pear

These Barry M Gelly polishes are simply beautiful. I'm loving all purple / lilac varnishes at the moment, but this one has to be one of my favourites.

 

Maybelline - Peach Smoothie

You seriously can't go wrong with a pastel peach in Summer. I thought I'd add a few decorations to the design to make it stand out more, I can't get enough of these little flowers!

Sinful Colors - Easy Going

 

The Sinful Colors range has to have been on every bloggers wish list over the past few months. I picked up this beautiful shade last week. It looks quite white in the picture above but it's actually a very pale pink. Such a unique shade for Summer.

Now.. something completely out of my comfort zone. I still can't decide if I like these.. & after wearing them for a day & a half & getting strange looks, I chickened out & removed them! I've always been on the fence about yellow nail polish, I remember years ago picking up one & hating it but thought I'd give this one a try as it's such a pretty pastel shade for Summer. One of my friends said I looked scary & like I had wasps on my nails! Lovely..

Another walking ad for Primark.. haha.

 

I'm loving the crop top trend with the midi skirt. One of my favourite outfits & with the English weather failing to make up it's mind on whether to be sunny or freezing cold, it's a very versatile outfit. You can always layer up with jumpers & tights but wear wedges & sunnies for the hot summer days.

So, the most exciting news which isn't in picture form is I have tickets to JLS in December! They just released some new dates & oh my goodness. I have tickets! Their last tour, which is very sad but yay! I can't wait.

I'm back to work this week after my summery days off last week, which is sad, but after spending just under £100 on JLS tickets.. I think I'll need the money! Haha!

Beach Days Feat. OOTD

Hello my lovelies. : )

 

So last week I booked a few days off work (lucky for me they were some of the hottest days the UK has had this year!) & with no plans especially in place, a few of those hot days, I ended up at the beach. Can you blame me? : D

 

Last Wednesday myself & the boy went to West Wittering - it's the most open & beautiful sandy beach. I always remember going on New Years Day with my parents when I was younger.. & being freezing. No wonder really.. it was mid Winter!

 

 

Me: Sunnies - Primark, Shorts - New Look, Top - Unknown (very old)

 

We only sat in the sun for about 2 hours but oh my god. My back was so burnt. I'm only just recovering from the pain.. probably made it worse that the next day, myself & the girls went to Littlehampton..

 

 

Me: Dress - Oh My Love, Sunnies - Primark

 

..& I got burnt again, on my already burnt back.. oops. It annoys me how sometimes you can get totally burnt from the wind in the UK even when the sun isn't even out. Damn you wind burn.

 

But, on a happier note, how beautiful is my new dress from Oh My Love? I'm actually obsessed with anything with shoulder or tummy cut-outs at the moment. : D

Recent Nail Art #6

Models Own - Utopia & Nail art pen in white

I'll never get sick of this polish, nor will I ever get sick of polka dots. Combine both together & you have my favourite nails. Ta-daaaa.



Nails Inc- Savile Row & Barry M - Pink Sapphire Glitter

Not a very Summery choice but I love this shade of red by Nails Inc. Add a bit of glitter & your all set.



Maybelline Polka Dots - Shooting Stars

You've probably all seen or at least heard of the new range of polishes by Maybelline. I managed to pick up this blue shade (Shooting Stars) & the pink shade (Speckled Pink) Very cute, cheap polishes but they've all had such good reviews I couldn't resist. I applied this one as soon as I got home (3 coats shown above) straight onto my nails. They obviously could be used as a top coat but I decided to layer it up as just this one polish. Honestly? I was disappointed. They chipped after about 6 hours & all I was did was drive to work & work on the front desk (occasional typing) Nothing out of the ordinary. Obviously, because I applied them without a base coat they were more likely to chip but I'm still disappointed I couldn't even go more than a day with them lasting.

I bet every blog post you read this week from a UK blogger will have mentioned the weather & needless to say, I'm no different! Yay - our Summer has arrived! Meaning I have already purchased a pointless number of summer dresses that will be put away again after this week..

 

On Saturday, myself & the boy celebrated 6 months together. We had some vouchers for Cote left over from my birthday, so we treated ourselves to a three-course meal & some wine. Cote is one of my favourite restaurants so it was a perfect evening out. I'd recommend going if you haven't already!

 

I also treated myself to some new polishes this week.. a girl can never have enough right? Reviews coming soooooon. : )
