Life At The Moment #55

Hello lovelies!

Bit of a catch up post today. Let's start with one the beginning of the month & celebrating Imi's birthday. My girl turned 23 & we celebrated with a cheese & wine party & played murder mystery games. I haven't laughed so much in ages!

How was everyone's Easter? I actually managed to have two days off over the four day 'holiday' period. I hate working in a building that only closes on Christmas & New Years Day! My mum did an Easter hunt for myself & James Sunday morning, where we had to find all those cute little chicks from clues about their names. We went to my grandparents' for lunch afterwards, where we all drank too much wine & ate too much chocolate..

Oh & look what my dad bought mum for Easter.. three ducks! Believe it or not, they are all fully grown. Might seem like a bit of a random present but we own a farm, so these three cuties were a welcome addition to our family. After a long debate, we've decided to name them after the characters in Frozen.. so we have Anna, Elsa & Kristoff!

I went on a road trip with the girls to Bluewater a few weeks back. I haven't been since I was about eight. I immediately felt guilty after returning home with a mountain of shopping bags, but who can go there & not resist the lure of Forever 21..

If you watch Game Of Thrones, you'll instantly recognise this gorgeous man.. if not.. WHY NOT!? Haha. I'm so excited he's going to be in the new film Pompeii, it looks amazing.

Finally, last night I went to the o2. To see a super group. And yes, they were super. Apart from the Spice Girls, Busted were my obsession when I was growing up. When they split up, I was devastated. (sounds sad but it was true!) Now they've formed with McFly to create a super group & oh my god, they were amazing! If you get a chance to see them on tour, DO IT. The atmosphere was simply breath taking.

How have you all been? Did you have a good Easter? : )

I've Got A Lovely Bunch Of Coco.. Oh.. Carrots!?

Hello lovelies!
Happy Easter : )
& what is any seasonal holiday without a bit of Lush?
I recently went shopping with the girls & found these; a bunch of carrots. I don't know about you, but I love carrots. Especially raw carrots. I could eat a whole bag. But don't worry, I wont be putting these anywhere else except my bath!

They come as a bunch of three & are re-useable bubble bars. I am partial to a good bath bomb, but I find you get more value for money buying bubble bars, because you can use them more than once. These were just too cute to resist & at a price of £5.95 (which actually works out quite cheaply for each carrot) I just had to scoop them up!

To use them, you simply run your bath as normal & swish one of the carrots in the water (I found putting it under the hot tap whilst it was running sped up the process)

The only element I wasn't too keen on was it turned the water a orangey / yellow colour, which is obviously what you'd expect as the carrot is orange pigmented, however it still did the job & left my skin feeling soft & moisturised.

I'd estimate & say I could use the one carrot 3/4 times.. obviously it depends on how many bubbles you want in your bath, but it's fantastic value for money!

Have you tried any of the Easter range at Lush?
Hope you're all having a fab start to the Easter weekend! : )

Nails #14

Top Left: No7 - Me! Me! Me! & Models Own - Pink Paradise
My. favourite. combination. ever. I could seriously wear pink on my nails every day given the choice. I always try to layer it with a top coat & this one is just perfect.

Top Right: 17 - Navy Glint
I love this colour on my nails. Sparkly, shimmery & quick drying.. if only it didn't chip after a day. So disappointing.

Bottom Left: Nails Inc - Covent Garden Ballet
I got this polish in a set for Christmas & it's quickly becoming one of my favourites. I think it would look stunning with a glitter top coat for a night out.

Bottom Right: Models Own Hyper Gel - Searing Pink & Nail art pens in pink, white & black
& finally, my Easter nails for this year! In a recent shopping trip, I picked up the Models Own Hyper Gel & fell in love. The base coat has been on since Saturday (without chipping) & it gives a fantastic shine to your nails. Also, I couldn't resist adding one of my favourite animals & a few polka dots to get in the spirit for Easter!

What are your plans for this weekend? : )

Life At The Moment #54

Evening lovelies!

Did you all have a good Mother's Day? I have to admit, I was working & didn't get to spend as much time with my mum as I wanted too, but we had breakfast together & a good chat over some boiled eggs & toast. I was shocked, but I even got a small gift from Honey! Is it just my family or do you guys get presents from your pets? : )

Now, before you all get excited, this is not my puppy, although I wish it was. This little cutie came to visit myself & Nicola at work yesterday. Isn't he beautiful? He's a 11 week old golden retriever named Manny. We nearly stole him.. just look at that face!

Something else exciting happened this week! Our first three spring chicks hatched! Look at their cuteness! We haven't named them, simply because we will have about 100 hatch this year, so we wouldn't be able to keep up! But if you have any suggestions on names I'd love to hear them!

Finally, my Race For Life welcome pack & tee came! I can't believe I've never taken part before, but this year I'm determined to raise some money for Cancer Research seeing as I was so into Sports Relief! Been a very charitable year so far! Are any of you taking part?

Hope you're all well lovelies. : )
