July & August Favourites

"Go-Pro"
Ok, so this isn't an actual go-pro. It's a replica I purchased off Groupon about a year ago, but seriously, it's perfect for what I wanted it for. I took it on holiday to Lanzarote & got some brilliant underwater shots & the wide angle lens is perfect for capturing those long sandy beaches. I couldn't be more pleased with it. (Keep an eye out for a Lanzarote vlog soon that was filmed using this camera!)

Revlon Foundation
I've been using this foundation for a couple of months now & am so pleased with how flawless my skins looks when I use it. I usually mix it in with the Youth Lift Glow-Plexion & it creates the most beautiful texture on my skin. I can't recommend it enough.

Studio 10 Youth Lift Glow Plexion
This has to be my favourite product I've tried in a long time. My mum got a free beauty box when she ordered over a certain amount with M&S & this was one of the products. It's an all-in-one primer, radiance creme, illuminator & highlighter.

Heat Protect Spray
I actually picked this up when I went into Boots to replace my VO5 heat protect spray, but this one caught my eye. It's almost £2 cheaper & smelt incredible. I'm totally converted. I've used it a few times on my hair so far & it's helped tame the frizz as well as protect my hair against my dryer & straighteners.

Dachshund Stationary
Ok, so I've always been obsessed with stationary & making notes, but since I've found these adorable Dachshund notepads / sticky notes in The Works, I've become even more obsessed. And of course, the best part is they are covered in dogs! What more could you want.

Matte Lip Crayon
This is my absolute favourite lipstick at the moment. I have the shade Raspberry Wine & it's the perfect dusky pink that seems to compliment every outfit. I wore it every night on holiday & most days at work. Even though it's quite a matte shade, it's also incredibly moisurising.

Kindle
I have a continuous love affair with books. The only problem is, I never find time to read them. I only ever tend to read when I'm on holiday, so Lanzarote was a perfect excuse to blow the dust off my kindle!

Music

Britney Spears
Ever since Erin did a poll on Twitter to find the best Britney song, I've been obsessed with listening to all her tunes. Yes I blame you girly ; ) There were so many amazing songs that I'd forgotten about, it was the best trip down memory lane.

Disney
This past month I've found myself sitting there not knowing what to play on my ipod & everytime going back to the same playlist, Disney. It's perfect for lifting my mood, or for just putting on while I'm doing the house work.

Events

All my friends came together for my annual Summer BBQ, which was incredible. It's always one of my favourite days of the year.

I got a new car! I've had Connie just over a month now & I can't wait to have lots of adventures with her.

James & I visited The Harry Potter Studios in London. I absolutely loved the whole experience, I'd definitely go again!

& finally, I went on holiday to Lanzarote with my girls! There will be a full post coming soon but I can safely say it was a massive highlight of this year so far!

What I've Been Wearing On My Nails #24

Models Own Nail Art Pen - White
I absolutely love doing my version of the French manicure. It is so easy to do & looks so chic.

Ciate - Caviar Pearls Shooting Star
This is one of my favourite nail varnishes to wear in the summer. It's a very subtle pretty shade that just goes with everything.

No7 - Lucky Lilac
I simply adore this polish! I've nearly run out of it because I wear it all the time. Like, literally ALL THE TIME. No7 is also a fantastic brand if you want to grab yourself a bargain when there's an offer in Boots. They do some beautiful shades.

Barbara Daly - White & Accessorize Nail Art Pen - Dark Blue
You know when you just feel like being creative & doing a nail art design but have no clue what to do? I always start with painting my nails white as a base colour & I was sat scrolling through Instagram for inspiration & decided on polka dots. You can never go wrong with polka dots! : )

What have you been wearing on your nails this month?

Nails #16

Barry M - Blueberry Ice Cream & Models Own nail art pens in white & gold
Summer screams floral to me! I love adding a flowers to my nails.

No 7 - Lucky Lilac
My absolutely favourite shade. Nothing beats a lilac nail varnish.

No 7 - Lucky Lilac & Barry M - Purple Glitter
Add a bit of glitter makes it even better!

Missguided - Splash
This is such a perfect red for Summer. Not too bright & not too subtle, it's a beautiful shade to have in your collection.

Primark - (No name sorry!)
A recent purchase from Primark, can you believe this beautiful shade only cost £1?! It's not great durability, but the colour is stunning.

Barry M - Blueberry Ice Cream & Crackle effect in black
I totally forgot about my crackle polishes until I found them hiding at the bottom of my varnish collection! I used to wear the black as a top coat for almost every polish I put on!

What have you been painting on your nails recently?

Nails #14

Top Left: No7 - Me! Me! Me! & Models Own - Pink Paradise
My. favourite. combination. ever. I could seriously wear pink on my nails every day given the choice. I always try to layer it with a top coat & this one is just perfect.

Top Right: 17 - Navy Glint
I love this colour on my nails. Sparkly, shimmery & quick drying.. if only it didn't chip after a day. So disappointing.

Bottom Left: Nails Inc - Covent Garden Ballet
I got this polish in a set for Christmas & it's quickly becoming one of my favourites. I think it would look stunning with a glitter top coat for a night out.

Bottom Right: Models Own Hyper Gel - Searing Pink & Nail art pens in pink, white & black
& finally, my Easter nails for this year! In a recent shopping trip, I picked up the Models Own Hyper Gel & fell in love. The base coat has been on since Saturday (without chipping) & it gives a fantastic shine to your nails. Also, I couldn't resist adding one of my favourite animals & a few polka dots to get in the spirit for Easter!

What are your plans for this weekend? : )

Recent Nail Art #2

Hey lovelies, hope you're all well.

Some more nail art to show you today.

This is one of my classic nail art designs I always go back too. I love lilac & this shade by No7 has to be my favourite. It's called 'Lucky Lilac' & I've used it as the base coat with Barry M's 'Lavender Hexograms'. Such a simple design but so pretty.

Not the best picture in the world, but I adore this design - Dalmatian nails! I used Barbara Daly 'White' as a base coat & L'Oreal's new 'Confetti' polish as a top coat. I'm in love with this new top coat, it's beautiful. I can't wait to try it over more colours.

& finally, my newest addition to my polishes, 'Atlantic Road' by Barry M. It's a textured nail polish, sort of feels like sandpaper on your nails, almost like a thick glitter. I have to say, I''m in love with this shade, however, the texture for me is just too weird. I obviously knew it was going to be a rough finish when I bought it being a 'textured nail polish' but it looks & feels so strange. I have to say though, it is very long-lasting. I used two coats of it, no top coat & it hasn't chipped in 5 days. Quite a record for me.. I always manage to chip nail varnish!

Have you tried the new Barry M textured varnishes?

Ohhhh & make sure you check out my previous nail art post if you enjoyed this one. : )

Recent Nail Art

Hey lovelies. : )

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you'll know I paint my nails alot. I love coming up with designs & themes, so I thought I'd put together some of my recent nails for you to see.

NYC Mint Macaroon & Models Own nail art pen in white

I love polka dot nails. There's something so simple & elegant about them & they are so easy to do. I love the pastel colours, especially as we're now heading into Spring, so I picked up this green the other day along with a clear top coat from NYC. I've never really looked at their shades before, they do some quite pretty ones.

No7 Me! Me! Me! Barbara Daly White & Models Own art pen in white & pink

Now obviously these were themed for Valentines day! The original plan for these nails were a red base coat & white polka dots, but sadly I found my faithful Barry M red had complete dried up & died over the Winter months, so pink it was. (Matched my toes, so I couldn't complain!) Again, I used polka dots as they are just too cute & a heart, for obvious Valentine reasoning!

Models Own Utopia & Primark glitter top coat

These are my current nails. I love Utopia, it has to be one of my absolute favourite nail varnishes I own. Any sort of glitter goes well as a top coat but it looks stunning by itself as well. The glitter top coat I'd forgotten I had.. I got it from Primark in a set of four for Christmas (I've thrown the box away & there isn't a name on the pot - sort it out Primark!) It's a gorgeous glitter though, made up of blue & pink sparkles. I can already tell it's going to be a pain to remove though..

No7 Poppy King Lipgloss

I received this lip gloss in a Christmas box from one of my friends. : )

I love No7 products, especially their lipsticks. I've never tried a lip gloss from their range before, so I was really excited to get this for Christmas. I love the packaging, the polka dots are so effortlessly pretty.

It is quite a glittery gloss, which I'm not too fussed on, but it applies really well & stays on your lips for a long period of time.

The swatch actually looks quite dark, but when applied to your lips it blends in with your natural lip colour so just looks like your wearing a very sheer gloss. (with a bit of sparkle)

However, it is quite a sticky gloss, which again, I'm not a fan of, but it does look gorgeous on. : )

Have you tried any of the Poppy King range?

No7 Gentle Foaming Cleanser Review

Afternoon girls. : )

Name: No7 Gentle Foaming Cleanser
Price: £8
Purchased from: Boots
Time tested: A week

I actually picked up this product for £3, using the Boots No7 voucher which I'm sure you've all been given at some point or another, which gives you £5 off any No7 product. However, I don't think £8 for this product is extortionate, but I only seem to purchase it when I have the voucher. (They come out quite often so you can usually stock up!)

I started using this product about a week ago. I take my make-up off before I go to bed & I use this in the morning when I wake up to freshen up my face & clear any last traces of make-up from the night before.

Love: The pump dispenser. It's an amazing feature allowing you to get exactly the right amount of the product to use on your face. If you're like me & sometimes waste product by pouring / using too much, this is definitely a life saver.

Mmmm: Only thing I'm not so keen on is how much I've used in a week. I've got just over half the bottle left, which means you'd be stocking up on it quite regularly. However, using the voucher & paying £3 for the product at a time, is just too good not to take advantage of.

So, overall I do really like the product. I felt my skin become alot softer after using it for 2 / 3 days & I find foundation alot easier to apply to softer skin.

Overall Rating: 7 / 10

No7 Glamour Lipstick

What a busy week! How is everyone doing?

I'm sure most of you know that Boots are currently doing a voucher for No7 products, £5 off! So I managed to run in on Saturday & pick up this gorgeous lipstick.

It comes in the cutest packaging, I love the polka dots on the box, so pretty.

When you get your lipstick, you'll also receive this cute little note - just adds a bit of quirkiness to the product.

I have quite lot of dark lipsticks (except my Touch Of Magic lipstick) so I decided to get this colour, it's called Glamour & comes out in a pink shade. (Depending on how heavily you apply it, it's either a light or dark shade)

This is the first swatch - sorry it's not very good. The lighting was terrible!

I've tended to wear this lipstick during the day, it's a really nice sutle, natural colour. I tend to go for a darker, more vibrant shade if I'm going on a night out, but for every day use I'd definitely recommend it. I managed to get it for £7 with the voucher (£12 without), so definitely worth popping into Boots to get your hands on it.

I'm still having trouble commenting on some of your blogs, I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up to date with you all. I'm having a mad reading session tomorrow because I'm off to work now. Hope everyone had a good bank holiday weekend. What did you all get up to? : )
