Nails #20

Tanya Burr - Mini Marshmallows
This nail varnish has quickly become one of my absolute favourites. I applied two coats & wore it for over a week & it hardly chipped at all! Plus, it's the most gorgeous shade.

French Manicure - Beauty Secrets
I had my nails professionally done at a salon for my birthday last month. I decided to go for a French Manicure because I'd never had one done 'properly' before! I was so pleased with it!

2True - Shade 15 & Models Own Nail Art Pen in white
This pastel blue shade was one of my favourites last year & as we're soon be coming into the Spring / Summer months, I had to dig it out! Adding a few lines with my nail art pen just gives them that little bit extra.

Barry M - Bright Red & Models Own - Hypergel Searing Pink
This was one of my Valentines nail art designs, you can see a full post here : )

Models Own - Hypergel Searing Pink & La Femme - 02
& second Valentines design! Again, full post here.

Barry M - Quick Dry Lap Of Honour
My latest purchase from Boots, is this gorgeous shade by Barry M. I adore doing my nails but get so frustrated waiting for them to dry, so when I saw one of my favourite brands releasing a 'quick dry' range, I just had to try it! This lilac shade is simply gorgeous & it dried within half the time of a standard nail varnish.

What are you wearing on your nails at the moment? : )

Boomf!

Hello lovelies,

I'd been eyeing up these small favours for a long time, but couldn't find the right occasion to buy them for, until now! I decided to order them for Valentines Day. Obviously, they don't have to be Valentine's gifts, you could make them for an anniversary, birthday or even a wedding gift!

If you haven't heard of Boomf, they are a UK company that print photos onto marshmallows. Sounds crazy right? But what better way to show someone you care by putting their face on a marshmallow..

They come in boxes of 9 & you can print any photo from an Instagram profile, a Facebook album or upload a photo from an external device to go on the marshmallow. They recommend Instagram because the marshmallows are square, so there's no need to edit the photo if it's already in the correct dimensions.

Oh & I also couldn't resist getting one for James too!

Fast & free delivery as well, what more could you want!

I asked the girls to send me some photos of them using them. So here's a few that I've had back so far! : )

Make sure you check out boomf.com for more details & how to order!

Life At The Moment #71

Hello lovelies,

Let's start with Sarah's 24th birthday which we celebrated at the beginning of the month. We went to our local pub for a meal & drinks. Their brownies are simply the best.

I mentioned in a previous life at the moment that my best girl Gemma got engaged at the end of last year & she's now set a date for August this year! So last week we went to a bridesmaid fitting & finished up in the local curry house. So pleased with my dress & can't wait for the wedding now!

How was your Valentines day lovelies? Myself & James spent the day with some sheep & had a romantic dinner in the evening. Sounds weird I know, but I did a full post on the day if you'd like to see it, you can here. : )

I went for a date with Cathy a few weeks back to Wagamamas. I have to be honest, I'm not a massive fan of this restaurant, I do struggle with food in general & finding things I like & last time I went, I didn't find anything that appealed to me. But Cathy knows me better than I do & found me the perfect dish, so I'm now converted!

Last Tuesday Sing-A-Long-Frozen came to our theatre & myself, Mat & eight of my girls went to watch it. It was actually fantastic, do go if they ever tour near you!

On Thursday, I took James to Ikea for the first time. He actually really got into it (minus the candle section!) & spent more than me. He also bought me this little heart-shaped cactus. How adorable. I'll be doing an Ikea haul soon!

& finally, today is Sunday. I've just said goodbye to James & he's heading back to uni in Gloucester. It's raining & I'm snuggled up on the sofa with a cup of tea. I'm planning on taking a nice hot bubble bath in a bit. Today has been one of those days where all I want to do is curl up into a ball & sleep.

How has your week been lovelies? : )

Valentine's Day 2015

Hello lovelies!

Love it or hate it, you wouldn't have been able to escape the Valentine's hype this weekend & regardless of whether you spent it with your other half, or out with the girls, I hope you had a lovely day!

Myself & James started the day with a fry up which we cooked together, complete with sausages, bacon, eggs & toast. Yummmm!

We then decided to go for a walk by my house to visit some sheep. A guy is renting one of our fields at the moment & owns 18 sheep, 5 of which have been hand-reared, so they're very tame & come running over to you as soon as they see you! So adorable. We also took Harvey & Honey for a long walk where we all got very very muddy..

After drying off, James left mine around 4pm, to go back to his to set up dinner. It was such a lovely evening, he'd gone all out.. candles, a single red rose, three course meal & a personalised CD with all our favourite songs. So amazing.

Afterwards we curled up in bed & caught up on Ex On The Beach.. anyone else obsessed with this program? : D

What did you do this weekend?

Nails #19 - Valentines Special

Hello lovelies,

Left - Barry M: Bright Red & Models Own: Hypergel Searing Pink. Right - Models Own: Hypergel Searing Pink & La Femme: 02

Here are two nail arts I've designed this week for Valentines Day. I love doing my nails for special occasions, Valentines being one of my favourites as I can't get enough pink in my life!

I'm hoping they'll give you a bit of inspiration if you're looking for a design for the weekend.

My last post also featured the perfect Valentine's scent, by Lacoste if you're interested in that too!

Hope you have a wonderful day, regardless of if you're celebrating or not : )

Lacoste - A Touch Of Pink

Hello lovelies!

Struggling to find that perfect scent for Valentines Day? I think I've found it!

Today I wanted to post about a gorgeous eau de toilette I got for Christmas & it's called Lacoste; A Touch Of Pink.

I actually got this in a gift set called Girls Night In, which came with slippers, toe separators, nail file, makeup bag, headband, eau de toilette, shower gel & body lotion. I can't thank James enough for this, everything is so pink.. I love it!

A Touch Of Pink is the perfect girly eau de toilette, perfect for any occasion, especially those romantic days out. It's quite a fruity-floral scent & I love wearing it in the day but it would also be lovely for garden parties in the Summer time. I think of it more as a Spring / Summer scent, but I can't keep it hidden away till then!

What scent are you wearing this Valentines Day?

I've also written a Valentines nail art post which you can check out here if you like, for more inspiration for the big day! : )

iPhone 6

Afternoon lovelies!

I wanted to do a post about my most recent purchase, the iPhone 6. Previously I had the iPhone 4s which I adored but as my contract was coming to an end, I thought it was time for a change. I get so attached to my phones, it's not normal..

iPhone - Apple / Case - Ebay

Being the hi-tech geek that I am (seriously though, I can just about manage to text & use a few apps..) I decided to go for the iPhone 6 in silver. The best thing about it is definitely the battery life. My 4s would just about make it through the day without much use, but the 6 I can use regularly for 2 days before it needs charging. I'm also loving the touch ID feature!

I think this post would be pretty boring unless I included a few of my favourite apps that I've either recently downloaded, or favourites that have transferred across. So here we go : )

Facebook - Everyone has it & everyone (secretly) loves it.

Twitter - I'm on Twitter constantly. I've recently found so many lovely new blogs through the blogger chats & just by following people who re-tweet new blogs.

Instagram - Again, would be lost without this app. I love taking photos of everything & anything & Instagram is the perfect place to post these!

Bloglovin - One of my favourite apps, I follow so many blogs on Bloglovin, it's hard to keep up with them when your out & about but this app allows you to do just that.

Google Maps - This one has proved to be so useful over the past couple of months. Myself & James went up to London for New Years Eve & Brighton ice skating for my birthday in the middle of January & on both occasions, we've needed the app. It's so accurate, it can pin point you to your exact position.

Gmail & Hotmail - Again, essentials. Picking up emails when out & about is a necessity.

Ebay & Amazon - Perfect for when you suddenly remember "Oh it's blah's birthday next week & I haven't got her anything!" or simply "Could do with one of those" you can order it from the touch of a button.

Costa, Nandos & Starbucks - These are my three favourite places to go & having loyalty cards for each one, means I can simply check the app to see if I'm due a free drink, snack or even a free chicken! (Gotta love nandos!)

What are your favourite apps? : )

Life At The Moment #70

Afternoon lovelies!

I wanted to do a quick update post as today is the 1st February can you believe! January has flown by..

So a few weeks ago, I braved the hairdressers. Yes, that was a big deal for me. Last time I had my hair cut I hated it & refused to wear my hair down for a month! & that was last June.. so I knew I'd have to go back sooner or later. I tried a new salon in my local town & was so much happier when I came out. I also received a text from them the next day (as it was my birthday) that I could claim a free blow dry, which was awesome!

& that leads me nicely on to my birthday night out on the Saturday. I did a full post on my birthday adventures here if you'd like a read, but in conclusion it was one of the best birthdays I've had.

One of my favourite gifts I got was from my parents & it was this stunning Pandora ring. I've been wearing it none stop alongside my other rings & despite it looking quite bulky, it doesn't catch on things which I was worried it was going too.

Last weekend, we celebrated one of my girl's birthdays. Bo turned 22 on the 25th January. We went out for drinks at the local pub & played card games to celebrate.

& finally this weekend, I've spent up in Gloucester visiting James at uni. We've had a lovely few days, spent watching films, shopping & going out with friends. I have managed to catch a very irritating cold though, so I'm travelling home to snuggle myself up & have a nice hot bath. Luch bubble bars make everything better right? : )

How has your week been?
