OOTD - Wally

Top & Jeans - Primark
Wedges - New Look
Necklace & Bracelet - Dynamite Designs Jewellery (review here)

Hello lovelies!

Quick outfit of the day for you. I wore this to dinner with my girls a few weeks ago.

I'm absolutely in love with this top, it is just so easy to wear & goes with everything! I paired it with my trusty blue jeans from Primark & my New Look wedges from last year's sale. I adore stripes & am slowly adding more & more to my wardrobe. They are so versatile & perfect for any occasion.

& again, loving my short hair! I did a full post on it here if you'd like a read. I just find it so much easier to style each day than I did with my longer locks!

How has your week been lovelies?

Zoella - Scrubbing Me Softly Smoothing Body Scrub

Hello lovelies!

You will probably have heard by now that Zoe aka Zoella, has released a new beauty range for this Summer, called Tutti Fruity. The range includes a lip balm, shower gel, body lotion, bath bomb, body mist, cosmetic purse & a body scrub. I went on a recent shopping trip with my friend Gemma & purchased one of my favourite pamper products, the body scrub!

First of all, the packaging. I'm absolutely in love with the yellows, pinks & polka dots used throughout this collection. All the products look so adorable sitting on the shelves in store.

Secondly, the scent. Oh my goodness. It's one of my favourite scents (second only to the Soap & Glory scrub) I have ever used on my skin. There was no tester pot in Superdrug, so when I got home & opened the tub, I was pleasantly surprised.

You only need the smallest amount of product to use on your skin. I can see this lasting for months!

I usually use a scrub before getting in the bath on dry skin. With this one, I felt the constancy was very thick & grainy & almost hurt to apply. Obviously with a scrub you expect it to be to give you a good exfoliation, but I do prefer the scrubs that are in a more liquidised. However, after getting in the bath & apply the scrub onto my damp skin, it was a lot less painful & worked into my skin perfectly.

I especially loved using it on my feet & legs, where my skin tends to get a lot drier & it made them feel so refreshed after my bath.

Overall, I liked this product. It surprised me how nice & soft it left my whole body feeling afterwards & I would definitely repurchase it. It retails at £7 from Superdrug.

Have you tried any of the new Zoella range? Would love to know your thoughts : )

Life Lately #82

Hello lovelies!

A few weeks ago, myself, Gem, Cathy & Boop met up for dinner at our favourite place to eat, The Giggling Squid. I've mentioned this restaurant a million times in my blog posts before, but it seriously is amazing. We caught up on life & plans for Gem's wedding, which is now just over a month away! Crazy.

Look what arrived last week! I actually can't wait to read this after hearing so many lovely reviews. Louise, you are amazing.

Myself & James organised an American themed BBQ last weekend, where people were dressed up wearing red, white & blue & some even came as superheroes. We had seriously bad weather, but being English, took it in our stride & created a cover for the BBQ to sit under & in true mad style, played football & badminton in the rain. It was such a lovely day. Just look at all the food!

On Saturday, we had a girl's night which included face masks, rom coms, hundreds of sweets & of course a good old gossip while the men went out drinking! Seriously love these ladies.

& finally yesterday myself, Kym, Lauren & Emily took a trip down to Littlehampton to visit our girl Lorna. We had a lovely day walking around the amusements on the sea front, eating chips & doughnuts & taking way too many photos. (As always..) The weather was so beautiful & we even got to work on our tans as we braved the wind!

How has your weekend been lovelies? : )

Cadbury World

Hello lovelies!

At the end of June, myself & James travelled up to Birmingham to visit Cadbury World. I received two tickets from my parents last Christmas. It's somewhere I've always wanted to go since I was little, so you can imagine my excitement when I got two tickets!

We live about 4 hours drive from Birmingham, in the south of England, so we decided to use James' flat in Gloucester as a pit stop to stay over night. We travelled up on the Thursday night & left Gloucester early Friday morning.

I'd planned for us to go out for breakfast that morning at a gorgeous pub called The Plough Harborne. I've done a full post on our breakfast that you can read here if you like, but to sum it up, we found a real hidden gem. I wish we lived closer to one!

Our tour was booked for 1pm, so after a late breakfast, we drove to Cadbury World. As well as going round the tour of the factory, you can also experience the 4D cinema. That was actually amazing! I've never been in one before, but found it so strange. The movie showed you going on a journey through Cadbury World, on a roller coaster at one point! It felt so realistic.

The tour starts with the history of Cadbury World & explains how chocolate was first made.

You have a small talk at the beginning, but after that you're free to follow the trail on your own. We went on a "bean ride" which was a small car going through the chocolate bean's villages. You saw them fishing, skiing & there was even a Christmas scene. So cute.

We also got to walk around the factory, where we saw employees creating chocolate master pieces.

& finally we got to sample some melted chocolate with a topping of our choice! I had popping candy & James had crunchy.

We visited the gift shop & museum after the tour but still had a few hours to kill before our dinner reservation at Frankie & Bennys. There were lots of tourist flyers & leaflets at Cadbury World & we found one advertising miniature golf about 10 minutes away in a local park. So that's where we went!

I'm usually rubbish at golf, but I lost one game & drew with James on the other! Not bad if you ask me.. : ' )

We then headed to Frankie & Bennys. James' auntie lives in Birmingham, so we arranged to meet up with her for dinner, which was lovely. Despite the restaurant always being loud, the food is always delicious. I had the chicken & chorizo burger & James had spag bol.

We then headed home after a long day back to Gloucester.

I'm so happy I finally got to go to Cadbury World, I felt like a child again!

Have you ever been to Cadbury World? Or the Plough Harborne? : )

What I've Been Wearing On My Nails #24

Models Own Nail Art Pen - White
I absolutely love doing my version of the French manicure. It is so easy to do & looks so chic.

Ciate - Caviar Pearls Shooting Star
This is one of my favourite nail varnishes to wear in the summer. It's a very subtle pretty shade that just goes with everything.

No7 - Lucky Lilac
I simply adore this polish! I've nearly run out of it because I wear it all the time. Like, literally ALL THE TIME. No7 is also a fantastic brand if you want to grab yourself a bargain when there's an offer in Boots. They do some beautiful shades.

Barbara Daly - White & Accessorize Nail Art Pen - Dark Blue
You know when you just feel like being creative & doing a nail art design but have no clue what to do? I always start with painting my nails white as a base colour & I was sat scrolling through Instagram for inspiration & decided on polka dots. You can never go wrong with polka dots! : )

What have you been wearing on your nails this month?

The Plough Harborne

Hello lovelies,

When James & I headed up to Birmingham a few weeks ago, we went for breakfast at The Plough Harborne. Neither of us had been to Birmingham before, but after doing some research on Trip advisor & finding countless reviews that worshiped this place, we decided to start our day with breakfast there.

They serve food all day, from breakfasts, to evening meals & lunches, to a full roast dinner on a Sunday.

The breakfast menu has something for everyone. Whether you're a cereal lover, toast fanatic, or a full English queen, you'll find it on their menu! We went for the House Breakfast to keep us full for the day as we were heading to Cadbury World & wouldn't be eating lunch. (trying to justify choosing the biggest unhealthiest option here..!)

The décor & atmosphere is so chilled. We went on a Friday morning, so it was quite quiet with loads of space & even an outside seating area. (Just a shame it was raining on the day we visited.)

The only thing to note when visiting is parking. It's right on a busy road, so if you travel there by car, you might find parking quite a challenge. Apart from that, you can't fault it.

Have you ever been to The Plough Harborne? I'm gutted we live so far away from it or I'd be in there most weekends!

Life Lately #81

Hello lovelies,

A few weeks back, I had a day out with my mum to do some shopping. We hardly get to spend quality time together so we had a lovely day, walking around the local shops & buying clothes we didn't need.

This beautiful weather has got me back into reading. I'm awful when it comes to books, especially in the colder months, but the sunshine gives me an excuse to sit in the garden with a good read. I'm a massive fan of rom coms, anyone recommend a good series for me to start?

I went to see The Longest Ride with the girls & it was brilliant. Such a heart felt story, I was in tears the whole way through. Definitely recommend seeing it.

At the end of June, myself & James booked a trip to Birmingham to visit Cadbury World. I got two tickets for Christmas last year, so we booked a few days off to travel up & go on the tour. James goes to uni in Gloucester, an hours drive from Birmingham, so we decided to stay there to save on accommodation. We had a lovely breakfast at a local pub, went on a tour around Cadbury World, played miniature golf & finished up having dinner at Frankie & Benny's. I'm going to do a full post on our day out, so keep you eyes peeled for that!

Last Sunday, I organised a breakfast for the stewards I work with at our local Beefeater - we never all work together so it was nice to introduce a few new faces into the group, plus have a yummy breakfast!

How was June been for you? Can't believe we're in July!
