Currently Loving - Autumn Trends

Hello lovelies!

I thought I'd share with you a few clothing items I've loving this Autumn. All of these in fact are my staples most years, but I've had a hunt online for a few key pieces on the high street I thought were too good not to share.

Jumpers

BooHoo Black Rib KnitNewlook Rainbow Cosy Jumper / River Island Leopard Print Turtleneck

Nothing beats a cosy jumper. I challenge you to find something as soft & comforting as a snugly jumper. This year I've been loving stripes. Rainbow print, block colour, anything that screams 90's. This one from New Look just looks so warm & thick. You definitely need one of these for your Winter wardrobe. I've also included a plain black jumper, these just go with everything. I love the simple look of blue jeans & a basic jumper. And finally, how cute is this leopard print one from River Island? The model on the website has styled it with black pleather shorts, which I love, but I can also see it styled with a black knitted skirt, tights & boots. Definitely going to pick this one up next pay day!

Scarf / Snoods

Scarves make me so happy. You can see my striped theme running from the jumpers into this section too.. just look how cute the patterns are on these two! I'm also a massive fan of snoods at this time of year as well. I hate having a cold neck & will do anything to avoid it! You can guarantee that if I haven't got a roll neck jumper on, I'm wearing a scarf.

Knee High Boots

Ah I'm obsessed with knee high boots. I just love them. I have a pair of black & grey ones & this year, I'm extremely tempted to purchase a brown pair! I struggle with finding the perfect knee high boot though.. I've lost count of the amount of them that I've tried on & they haven't fitted me properly. It's usually the upper part of the boot & making sure it stays up when you're walking around that I find the most tricky when picking out a new pair! I end up striding around the shop testing them out! No wonder James hates shopping with me.. These 3 pairs I've picked out above, I just loved, all for different reasons. The first pair are just so glamorous. I can see myself rocking these for a night out with jeans & a nice top. The black pair look more day time but also suitable for evening & I was drawn to the fact they weren't high-heeled, as my pair kill my feet if I'm wearing them all day! & finally the brown pair, I picked these out because I'm on the market for a brown pair of boots like I said & these looked so comfy. They also have the tie at the top, so no danger of falling down my legs!

Just saying those 3 words & knowing I can now wear coats again makes me so happy. I purchased the ultimate fluffy bear coat from Pull & Bear at the beginning of the year & I absolutely love it! I've been wearing it this week (before the mini heat wave last Wednesday / Thursday!) & have felt so happy. I really struggled to pick out just 3 from the high street for this category, but after purchasing a pink faux fur coat about 2 years ago & trying to make it work & failing (I had to buy it in 2 sizes too big & it just swamped me!) I wanted to include another one I thought would be a suitable alternative. The first brown coat I've selected is quite similar to mine, but it has a collar & I actually think I prefer it to the Pull & Bear one. It looks super cosy! The final one I'm sure won't be to everyone's taste & to be honest, I can't actually explain why it caught my eye, but just the colours & print were too cute to resist.

Do you prefer Summer or Autumn style? : )

I would love to know if you've picked up any key pieces & what you're loving for this season!

What I've Been Wearing On My Nails #44

Bourjois - Black Glitter
These were actually my Halloween nails this year, however I still think they are perfect for Christmas! Black nail varnish always takes me back to my teenage years, but add a bit of glitter to it & you've instantly got the festive vibe as opposed to a gothic vibe! I love this polish in particular as it dries so quickly & doesn't take an hour of scrubbing of your nails to get it off.

Essie - Bahama Mama
This shade is my perfect Autumn colour. I love how it completes any outfit & isn't too in-your-face being a darker red. Don't get me wrong, a bright red is never far away, but I do favour a burgandy nearer Christmas time!

Essie - Bahama Mama & Barry M - Pink Glitter
Who can resist adding a bit of glitter to their nails at Christmas time? Not me, that's for sure! I love making my nails look festive & a glitter top coat does just that.

ELF - Dark Navy
& when I can't be bothered to wait for a base coat to dry to add a glitter top coat, grabbing a nail polish that is already sparkly, does the trick! This one I've had for years & I haven't worn it for ages, but wanted a darker shade for Christmas parties. I actually adore the formula of ELF polishes, they always seem to last a long time & are so easy to apply.

What are you wearing on your nails this December? : )

Our 5 Year Anniversary!

Hello lovelies!

On Friday, James & I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. I mean, how crazy is that!? In a way, it sorta doesn't feel that long as it's like he's been apart of my life forever, but at the same time, it's gone so quickly.. weird huh?

Due to time off work & booking the hotel that we did, we actually celebrated a week early. James' Dad & Maria kindly bought us a Secret Escapes voucher for Christmas last year, so we used it to book a night's stay at the beautiful Warren House.

We didn't want to travel too far from home, meaning the outskirts of London was a good option for us. Warren House is in Kingston-Upon-Thames, which is about an hours drive away. We decided to make a few stops on the way to our hotel, starting with Chessington Garden Centre. I absolutely love it here. We used to visit quite often when James worked at Chessington World Of Adventures, but we hadn't been since early Spring. It looked so beautiful & festive. Garden centres are one of my favourite places to go to meet a friend for tea or lunch as there's always so much to see & eat! Perfect place to pick up a unique Christmas pressie.

The added bonus of this particular garden centre is it's dog friendly & there's even a assigned place for doggies. It gave me the chance to sneakily take a few photos of cute ones!

After lunch, we then headed to Jurassic Encounter Golf, which was literally down the road from the garden centre. Despite it being freezing, it was really good fun. James actually plays golf properly, but mini golf is about as far as my ability will stretch, so it's fun to play it together, despite it getting seriously competitive!

We could check into our hotel from 3pm, so we'd timed our arrival about 4pm, just when it was starting to get dark. We were greeted with prosecco & were shown to our room, which over-looked the gardens.

After a few glasses & a nap we went down for dinner at 7pm & basically had the dining room to ourselves! We were wined & dined & truly spoilt with a three-course meal. I had salmon pate for starter, James had goats cheese ravioli & we both had a steak for main & white chocolate cheesecake for pudding. To say we were full afterwards was an understatement!

The next morning, we woke to a full English breakfast & an all-you-can-eat continental buffet in one of the many dining rooms. It was soooo delicious.

We then wanted to explore a bit of the local area before heading home & after some researching online, we headed to Richmond Park. Neither of us really knew what to expect, but when we started to drive through, we couldn't actually believe how close we were to London! We honestly felt as though we were in the middle of the New Forest! There was so many beautiful deer as well, this massive 'army' that we found as well as a smaller heard, with a gorgeous red stag.

We had a walk through the woods & despite it being freezing cold, the sun was shinning & it honestly felt so Christmassy! I'm honestly so sad I'd never been before, but can't wait to go back again already!

Have you ever visited Bushy Park? That one is next on our list!

Hope you're having a wonderful December so far lovelies! The Christmas countdown has officially started! Make sure your following me on all my social media (links below!), as I'm truly in the Christmas spirit this year. Also, I was lucky enough to recieve the M&S Advent calendar from my mum & I'm opening each day of my Instagram stories if you wanted to check that out as well!

I would love to read your Christmassy blog posts, so please leave them in a comment down below.

Life Lately #138

Hello lovelies!

In the middle of November, 4 of my friends took part in a local theatre production of Two. If you don't know the play, you can read all about it here. It's usually performed by 2 people funnily enough, however, they are a small theatre group of about 10. It was so well done & was lovely to see them on stage.

Last weekend, we finally got to celebrate Charlotte's birthday with her. You might remember a few weeks back I posted about Our Adventure To London, that Char had suprised us all with for our birthdays. We decided to plan a night out for her, starting with a posh dinner at Miller & Carter Steakhouse in Brighton. I'd never been there before, but the food was delicious! We had a starter & a main before heading back to Cathy's for games, presents & birthday cake.

On 17th November, my Grandad turned 90! We had a birthday buffet celebration with all the family on the Sunday afternoon. Elisa made him a cake which was personalised from his time in the Merchant Navy. It was so nice to get everyone together to celebrate.

We met up with James' mum & Barrie last Monday for dinner at Prezzo. It was so nice to see our little town covered in Christmas lights & decarations. We also managed to catch up with Allan & Maria on Sunday for brunch at Bills. Allan had also recently celebrated a birthday & they'd just returned from a snowy trip to Iceland so it was lovely to hear all about it.

& finally last Friday, James & I travelled up to Kingston-On-Thames for an over-night stay at Warren House, to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. (which will actually be this Friday!) We stopped at Chessington Garden Centre for a look at all the Christmas decorations & to have lunch in Sedum Restaurant. I absolutely love it there, we used to go quite often when James used to work at Chessington World Of Adventures. We then played mini golf at the Jurassic Encounter Golf Course, before heading to Warren House. The following day, we headed to Richmond Park, which I was so excited for! We saw lots of deer & had a walk through the woods (where I got to play in the leaves!). It's such a beautiful place.

How has your November been lovelies?

James & I are decorating our tree this weekend & I couldn't be more excited! I'm also going to be blogging a lot more frequently throughout December, so keep an eye out for some festive posts! : )

September & October Favourites

A glitter top coat just completes my everyday look at the moment. I'm loving using this one from Nails Inc over dark reds, greens & even pastel colours like lilacs & baby pinks. If you want to check out more of my nail art, you can see them over on my Instagram, or I regularly post about What I'm Wearing On My Nails so keep an eye out for those!

Soap & Glory Mascara
I only seem to discover new products when I run out of my exsisting ones. My favourite mascara is & always will be the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara, but I have to say, this one is slowly creeping up my list. I think it's pretty similar to the Maybelline one, it definitely lengthens my lashes but it seems to hold the lift longer throughout the day.

The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying
I bought this book a few years ago & never actually read it. I mean, I started it, got a few pages in, then completely forgot about it & moved on to the next book. I rediscovered it the other day when I was sorting through my collection of books & decided to give it another go. It amazes me how the subject of tidying can be so interesting. That sounds weird, but why would you write a whole book on how to tidy? Isn't it easy..? Marie Condo is a brilliant author & honestly captures your attention on the subject right from the first page & I can't wait to put into practice all the tips & tricks she suggests.

Gold Accessorize Eyeshadow
I mean, can you get anymore Autumnal? I've absolutely loved wearing this for evenings out over the past month, paired with this Primark top, they make such a statement together.

I picked this up in the Primark in Poole on our holiday to The New Forest last month & I'm obsessed. It's perfect for days out, or dinner & drinks in the evening with jeans & boots. It goes with everything & I can see it's going to be a staple in my wardrobe. I went shopping with my girlies last week & I also picked it up in red.. it's just such a lovely style, I couldn't resist.

Music

TV

Ah the new season started in September & as always, I'm obsessed.

Dr Foster
So, it was only when someone said to me 'season 2 starts next week' did I suddenly remember 'I forgot to watch season 1!' James & I started this last month & we are hooked. It's so gripping. We are half way through season 2 at the moment, so no spoilers please!

Events

James & I went on holiday to The New Forest in the middle of September & had the most amazing time. I wrote a full post on our adventure which you can read here if you like.

James got a new job! I'm so proud of him. It's still working with animals but is in a much better paid position. He's just started his first week so we're excited to see where it'll take him in the future.

The girls & I headed to London for the day & we generally had one of the best days ever. We had a picnic, visited Choccywoccydoodah, The Sky Gardens & finished by seeing a show in the evening. It was called The Comedy About A Bank Robbery.

I got my hair cut! I absolutely love it. I now have a longish bob & it's so much fun to style.

We celebrated Mum's birthday on 22nd. We had a chilled day together, eating lots of food & venturing out on an Autumn walk.

& finally it was Halloween! I didn't go out to celebrate this year, but we all dressed up at work & it was so much fun. I'll obviously fill you in a bit more in my next life update post!

& seriously, I can't actually believe that when I come to write the next Favourites Post, it's going to be reviewing the end of the year.. how scary is that!? So much has happened, it's going to be quite an emotional post I think.

Did you celebrate Halloween this year? : )

Life Lately #136

Hello lovelies,

So if you follow me on social media, you would have seen that I got my hair cut towards the beginning of October. I decided to have a longish bob, which is the shortest my hair has been since I was a young teenager! I absolutely love it & styling it is so much fun now it's shorter. I'm quite sad I didn't do it sooner!

On 12th October, Honey turned eight. EIGHT. Oh my god, where do the years go!? I came round to visit her & we had lots of cuddles & played games before curling up on the sofa together. She's such a cutie.

Last Sunday I met up with the girls at Pizza Express for lunch before I started work. It was so lovely to have a catch up with them. I was actually planning on doing some shopping after we'd met up, but we just talked for hours & I had to head straight to work! I also managed to pick up a few bits in a charity shop before meeting them, so keep an eye out for a small haul soon!

James & I both had last Monday morning off, so we decided to check out a local pub that's started doing breakfast. Oh my god. Look at my foooood. I couldn't believe how delicious & well presented it was. Oh & of course, you can't have breakfast without a cup of tea! Next time we go, I'm going to test out the pancakes, because they looked amazing as well!

It was Mum's birthday on Sunday & I spent the afternoon with her, eating lots of food & drinking lots of tea. We also took the doggies on a very Autumnal walk, which they enjoyed!

& finally, I've started to decorate our flat for Autumn / Christmas! I'm determined to get all my shopping done as soon as humanly possible this year. I do always try to get it done & dusted before December starts, however, I want to be finished by latest middle of November. Whether this will happen or not, who knows, but I'm excited to try! Would any of you be interested in me doing a post about decorating your flat on a budget this year? I've managed to do a few Autumn DIY's & managed to pick up some cute little decorations quite cheaply.

Have you started decorating yet?
Did you have any plans for Halloween? : )

What I've Been Wearing On My Nails #43

Barry M - Prickly Pear
When I was putting together this post, it made me smile. You can see I'm completely torn between hanging on to Summer & embracing Autumn with my nails! I can't seem to let go of the pastel shades & this Gelly Hi-Shine one from Barry M is a staple in my collection. I don't know if it's something people do like they do for their wardrobes, but I feel like I need to put away all my Spring / Summer polishes, so I only have the Autumn / Winter ones accessible to try & get me into the seasonal spirit!

Essie - Ruffles & Feathers
Like last year, I couldn't resist having a green polish on my nails this month. You might remember the Autumnal nail art design I did using this green Essie polish as a base & it had golden leaves on top. I absolutely loved that design so I'm definitely going to be trying it again this year.

Leighton Denny - Rosey Posey & Nails Inc - Gold Glitter
& we're back to another Summer design. I couldn't resist adding a bit of glitter to this one though!

Ted Baker Deep Red (no name!) & Miss Sporty - Glitter Effect, Paris
& finally, I think I might have skipped Autumn & headed straight to Christmas with this design! I had these nails planned out in my head for the longest time, but as soon as I'd painted them, I instantly thought of Christmas. However, it really isn't that long to go till Christmas is here.. so in theory, I'm only a month or so ahead of schedule..

I'm currently thinking of what nail art do to for Halloween this year. I went quite simple last year, with a gold base & silver spider web detailing on top. I'm dressing up as a witch at work, so thinking maybe green or purple to match my makeup! Are you doing anything for Halloween?

Blouse You

Ok, so anyone else obsessed with blouses right now?

I just can't get enough of them. The more ruffles, flared sleeves & bows the better!

These are just a few I've found while scouring the internet. My favourites have to be the baby blue & polka dot one, both from H&M. I'm on a strict budget at the moment, but I was so tempted to go & find them both in store! The burgundy one from New Look is also great value for a simple staple Autumn piece.

I tend to style my blouses with black skinny jeans or body-con skirts & knee-high boots for an evening look, or go casual with converse & jeans during the day. They also look especially cool with a fedora if it isn't too windy!

I wore my new blouse from Primark (which I've searched the internet for & can't find) but here's me wearing it on a day trip to London with the girls & it got so many compliments!

A girl can never have too many blouses in her life.

Let me know if you'd like a post about the blouses I own & see how I style them for Autumn.

What I've Been Wearing On My Nails #42

Fearne Cotton - Burnt Out
I was wearing this back in June, but I'm tempted to get it back out again for Autumn. It's the perfect shade to wear with dark greens & reds at this time of year.

Leighton Denny - Coral Reef
One of my favourite shades! I swear I say this in almost all my nail art posts but it's true! This colour has lived on my toe nails this Summer.

Orly - Harmonious Mess
Ah again another of my favs. The perfect blue for a warm sunny day.

Barry M - Gold
& my latest nail polish of choice. I'm not a massive fan of wearing bright oranges on my nails, but love golds or darker oranges & this one is simply stunning.

What have you been wearing on your nails this month?

Lush - Autumn Leaf

Can you guess who is obsessed with Lush at the moment.. ? Actually, if we're being honest here, I'm always obsessed with Lush..

I picked up the Autumn Leaf on my most recent shopping trip & couldn't be more excited to try it. I mentioned in my previous Lush review post (the Pumpkin Bath Bomb) that I wasn't overwhelmed about the scent, but it was the beautiful colours that drew me to it. So many people I know that have tried this bomb have loved it, so I decided to give it a go.

It retails for £3.75, which I thought was a pretty good price for it.

Once I got the bath bomb home & could appreciate the scent better (everything is so over-powering in store, sometimes I struggle to actually work out what a product's scent is!) I actually found it a lot more appealing.

Lush describe it as a 'fresh grass' scent, which I didn't massively pick up on, but I was able to concentrate more on the colours it produced. Just as I expected, as soon as it went into my bath, it created the most beautiful colours in the water.

Pinks, greens, yellows, reds, oranges are all present & it made such a pretty swirling pattern in the water. Unfortunately, like some of Lush's other bath bombs, it left the water looking a dirtish orangey brown colour, but this doesn't tend to bother me too much.

I would definitely buy this bomb again, mostly just for the colours it produced. It was actually very calming watching the bomb dissolve in the water, it wasn't half as fast as some of the other bath bombs.

It reminded me of a very peaceful firework, travelling through the water!

Have you tried any of Lush's Autumn / Winter collection this year? Don't forget to check out my Pumkpin Bath Bomb review that's live now & make sure to check back for reviews on So White & Never Mind The Ballistics which will be coming soon!

What I've Been Wearing On My Nails #35

Fearne Cotton -  Coral Island & Golden Touch
I love how you can see my nails transitioning from Summer to Autumn in this post! With this first nail art design, I tried to do an ombre glitter effect. It honestly looked better in real life! I used a sponge to get the glitter stronger at the top of the nail & worked my way down to the base.

Ciate - Island Hopping
As you can see, I was still craving glitter in my life at this point, so I used one of my Ciate Mini polishes I got for Christmas last year. I love this shade. I never used to wear orange on my nails, but definitely warming to it this year.

Rimmel London - Berries & Cream
This colour is the definition of Autumn. I'm obsessed with it. I do tend to wear this shade all through the year but it comes into its own in the colder months.

Essie - Ruffles & Feathers / Models Own Nail Art Pen - Gold
& finally my favourite design that I've done over the last few months. I might even go as far as to say my favourite ever Autumn nail art. It took me ages to do the leaves but I was so proud of this one when I'd finished. I'll definitely be doing this again next year!

What have you been wearing on your nails this month?

Life Lately #115

Hello lovelies!

These past two weeks have been so busy but also so lovely.

I met up with my girlies last Sunday for brunch & games. I also got to meet Cathy's brother & sister-in-laws bunnies that she's been looking after while they've been on holiday. They are just so cute. I used to really want a bunny & it's re-kindled my love for them again.. I would give anything for a house rabbit but I don't think it would survive long with Harvey around sadly..

The Sidemen book was finally released last week! James & I have been waiting so long for this & as I'd pre-ordered it from Amazon, it arrived on release day, in mint condition. So much love for these guys.

Last Thursday James graduated from uni! We had been planning our trip to Gloucester for so long, it was amazing when the day actually came around. We travelled up on Wednesday night & stayed in a lovely B'n'B in Gloucester before heading to the cathedral early on Thursday morning for the ceremony. James' family met us there in the morning & after he had graduated, we went for lunch at The Queen's Head. It was a lovely pub & they served the biggest portions in the world.. seriously. It was amazing value for money. After lunch we headed back home.

Last Friday I made brownies for mum's birthday. She decided she'd rather have brownies than an actual birthday cake, so I spent the day on Friday baking. The brownies actually turned out really well, not to blow my own trumpet or anything, but I was seriously proud of them!

On Saturday morning (mum's birthday) we woke up at 7am & headed across the fields to photograph some of our resident geese. There is around 300 Canada geese that are currently residing in one of our fields & between 7.10 & 7.20, they take off from their nesting spots. We managed to capture some beautiful pictures of them, even some of them flying over our heads! It was amazing to see & sadly, they'll soon be heading home for the Winter.

Saturday evening we had a family meal at my grandparent's house. It was lovely to catch up with them & spend time with my family. We ate the brownies & I also made some macaroons with orange buttercream in. They went down a treat!

Finally, Sunday James & I had a rare day off together & headed out with the dogs to take some autumnal pictures. I love Autumn so much now. I never used to be a fan as I'm a Summer girl at heart, but just all the gorgeous colours at this time of year are too beautiful to not fall in love with.

How has your week been? : )

Lush - Pumpkin Bath Bomb

Hello lovelies,

I'm sure if you've been a follower of my blog for a while, you'll know I have a slight addiction to Lush, especially when there is an occasion around the corner..

I never used to bother about celebrating Halloween. I never went trick or treating, I'd be the one wrapped up in the warm, looking out my bedroom window, waiting for others to come to my house! I always made my mum open the door as I was too scared to greet anyone! Now I'm 25, I think I'm more obsessed than ever..

I've already started buying a few decorations for our house & for work this year (we are dressing up on the 31st on box office!) If you're looking for cheap decorations, I can't recommend Poundland enough. I get all my decorations from there & I seriously wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

Anyway! I actually wanted to talk to you today about one of the beautiful products from Lush's Halloween range this year, the Pumpkin Bath Bomb.

This little guy caught my eye when watching the Halloween product reveal a while back. I did think about purchasing his sparkly bubble bar friend, but I remember using it last year & having to scrub glitter from the bath tub for days..

This little guy though is so adorable & the scent he produces is delicious. I had to stop myself from licking him.

Lush describes the bath bomb like a "slab of sweet pumpkin pie" which I couldn't agree more on. It contains vanilla absolute & cinnamon, which come together to give you homely biscuity scent. Now I couldn't smell biscuits, but it defiantly reminded me of baking at home on a cold Autumn day.

When I placed the bomb into the water, it reacted instantly! Fizzing around & turning my bath a bright orange colour. I was half expecting there to be a green colour inside, which I thought would have been a nice touch. However, it quickly dissolved, leaving my bath smelling deliciously sweet.

My skin felt extremely soft & moisturized after my bath, one thing I can never fault Lush on. I always feel like I've had a treatment after using their products.

I also picked up the Autumn Leaf Bath Bomb from the range (review coming soon!) as the colours fascinated me, however I wasn't keen on the scent. Hopefully I'll change my mind when I use it in my bath. It's quite common for me to go into Lush & sample something & not like it but once I'm home & can smell it without mixing with other scents, I tend to really like them! Does that happen to anyone else?!

There will also be a review on two of the bath bombs from the Christmas range (So White & Never Mind The Ballistics) coming soon! So keep your eyes peeled for those. : )

Have you tried any of the Halloween range from Lush this year? Is there any other ones you'd recommend for me to try?

*Please note this was not a sponsored post & all views are my own.

Cotswold Wildlife Park

Hello lovelies,

Towards the end of last year, I went to visit James in Gloucester & we decided to have a day out at The Cotswold Wildlife Park. We'd visited the park almost 2 years ago & I remember it being so perfect for a day out (& you can get super close to the giraffes which are my favourite animals!) So I thought I'd show you a few pictures I managed to get of all the beautiful animals.

I just adore giraffes! Poor James had to wait for over 10 minutes while I got the perfect shots & videos of them! (Vlog coming soon!) I just find them so adorable & elegant but clumsy. Does that make sense? I just feel so calm around them. : )

These little fruit bats were hidden away in a dark room, filled with fruit! They must have just been fed as they were all going crazy for the offerings!

Ah the meerkat. This little one was digging for Australia it seemed!

I love monkeys. I find them so fascinating & cute. Especially if you find one like this with a moustache..

This (was going to say little, but I should say BIG as he was massive!) cutie is called Darwin & he's extremely old. He looked so adorable looking at the family home.

One of the main attractions of the park is the rhinos. This little one is called John & he was born in August. He's with his mum here, who was called Nancy. We saw him running around playing & even heard him squeak in excitement!

Such an acquisitive penguin this one was! Half of them were swimming around but he preferred to walk along the path looking at all the people!

Have you ever been to the Cotswold Wildlife Park? : )

What I've Been Wearing On My Nails #28 - Christmas Addition!

Essie - Vernis
I think this nail polish has featured many a time on my blog but I just can't get enough of it. It's the perfect shade for Autumn / Winter & last ages on the nails.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine - Pomegranate & Models Own - Southern Lights
I just had to include a red polish as it's Christmas! How beautiful are the Barry M Gelly polishes by the way? I think they are perfect for this time of year. I used Models Own Southern Lights to add a bit of sparkle down the centre of each nail, but I'm not kidding when I say this glitter nail polish takes ages to dry. It must of been around 5 hours before I could feel the glitter had completely set.

Nails Inc Gel Effect - Regent Street & Models Own - Snowflake
I recently re-discovered my snowflake top coat by Models Own & fell in love all over again. I call these my 'Frozen nails' - can you see why? ; )

Nails Inc - Savile Row & Models Own - Juicy Jules
Another one of my favourite polishes & mixed with Juicy Jules from Models Own, it just makes such a Christmassy shade to wear on your nails. I had a weekend filled with Christmas parties & celebrations & this was my chosen design.

What have you been wearing on your nails this December? : )

Stocking Fillers / Secret Santa Gift Ideas From Primark

Hello lovelies,

Now that we are almost a month away from Christmas (squee!) be prepared for some exciting Christmas posts! This first one is for all of you out there who want a thoughtful gift for someone special, but are on a budget.

I'm part of four Secret Santa's this year & our budgets are between £5-10. It's amazing what you can find for that amount of money in the shops these days & one of the first places I thought to look is Primark. Here are a few of my favourites things.

I've wanted one of these signs for ages & just think they'd look great on someone's bedroom shelf. What's lovely about them is they can be up all year around & you'll always have love in your home.

I couldn't resist this one, what a cute idea. I love fairy & LED lights at Christmas & this one would look adorable displayed in a window.

This is such an inexpensive piece of décor for the home. I love anything red at Christmas time, especially if it includes yummy looking berries!

This one is a perfect stocking filler. I think anybody who loves their iPhone will love this. (especially if they are as crazy as me & have the biggest collection of iphone cases known to man..)

If you know someone who is a fan of candles, you can't go wrong with this lantern. Wrap it up alongside some scented tea lights & you're good to go.

I'm a sucker for quotes & cute little signs for the home. Again, couldn't resist this one.

Like I previously mentioned, I'm a massive fan of fairy lights, not just at Christmas, but all through the year. If you've seen my bedroom, you'll know what I'm talking about! These hearts just add that extra something & being bronze, they would look lovely on a mantle piece this Winter.

& finally the red arrow. I know some people who have this already & adore it. Unfortunately it won't be to everyone's taste, but if you have that friend who is a bit more out going & into quirky ornaments, this would be perfect.

What are you lusting over this Christmas time? Have you ever done Secret Santa? : )
