Greece In Outfits!

Hello lovelies! Hope you're all well.

I thought I'd show you what I wore in Greece!

Left: Sunnies, Top, Shorts, Rucksack - Primark / Kimono - Select Fashion
Right - Sunnies & Skirt - Primark / Kimono - New Look / Top - Brighton (shop unknown)

These two outfits were perfect for days out exploring the island. Comfort was extremely important when your in the heat & kimonos were a life saver for when we had the random downpours!

Left: Co-ord - BooHoo
Right: Playsuit - New Look

This co-ord from BooHoo was my favourite outfit of the holiday. It was perfect for a beach cover up & taking walks on the sea front. And this New Look playsuit I bought last year & totally forgot I had was ideal for our boat trip.

Left: Kimono - New Look / Bikini - Dorothy Perkins
Right - Kimono - New Look / Bikini - Primark

This kimono was another holiday favourite. Such a bargain from New Look.

Left: Dress - So In Fashion
Right: Dress - H & M

& finally a few evening outfits. I saved these two for last! The white laced H & M dress got so many compliments. I absolutely adore it! Such a steal from a high-street store.

If you haven't seen already, I've blogged about our Greek adventures in two parts, you can read them here (Part 1) & here (Part 2). All these snaps were taken on my iPhone & edited on Instagram - make sure you check out my other pictures on there as I post most days!

Lefkas! Part II

Hello lovelies! Hope you're all well.

Here we go with part 2! If you haven't seen my Greece part 1 post, you can read that here : )

On Thursday, we headed to Egremni beach. It was so beautiful, there are no words to describe the colour of the sea. Well, as Julie kept shouting every time she saw it "LES YEUX!" It was a nightmare to get to though. 250 steep steps + hairpin bends to park on. Totally worth it though. You can see the boys chilling after a game of beach ball. : ) We also went for a meal in the evening which was lovely at one of our local Tavernas.

On Friday, we decided to hire our own boat & head out to sea. We visited all the places Steve suggested & had lunch at a beautiful Taverna. James was constantly in the sea - such a water baby!

On our final day, I did something I thought I'd never be brave enough to do.. I went parasailing! Oh my goodness. You can see I had to have a cocktail first to calm my nerves.. but I'm so glad I did it! Allan & Julie went up as well & here we are at the end all smiles! : ) They were also brave enough to do the chair ride, which wasn't my thing but look at them all waving!

& for our final night, we went to a Greek restaurant that promised the 'best Greek entertainment in town' which it certainly lived up too. Not only had I done parasailing that day, I was then pulled up with the girls to dance infront of a full restaurant. Oh my god, the embarrassment. I'm not sure if the wine helped or made me feel more sick.. hahaha.

& finally, a few random ones that I wanted to include. : )

I can't thank James' family enough for letting me come with them - it was such a fantastic holiday! : )

Make sure you check out part 1 if you enjoyed this post & prepare yourself for Greece OOTD's coming soon! : )

Lefkas! Part I

Hello lovelies,
You have no idea how excited I am to share this post with you!
This year, I was lucky enough to go to Greece with James' family. There was myself, James, Alex - James' brother, Auntie Julie, Allan - James' dad & Maria - Allan's partner. We stayed in a beautiful villa on the island of Lefkas. It was a 50 minute drive from the main land of Greece, from a small airport called Preveza. We hired a car (the fun bus as it was nicknamed!) for the week which was a life saver at times. Half the week the weather was thunder & lightning - we were so unlucky! Even the Greeks were shocked at the down pours!
Ok, first of all, our villa -

We had the most amazing view as you can see & the villa even came with a hammock tower! It looked so beautiful at night with the little fairy lights around the pool & our out door table.

On the second day, we went on a boat trip around the neighbouring islands & our tour guide Steve, showed us all the best places to snorkel. We even managed to find an octopus - you can see here him releasing it back into the sea.

We went to visit a waterfall on the Tuesday morning, before getting absolutely soaked - I've never been in a storm like it! I'm sure if it hadn't been raining the day before we went, the water would have looked beautiful, but sadly it was just a brown lake!

Wednesday, we woke up & it was pouring again, so we decided to travel across to the other side of the island to find the sun. Obviously there was no guarantee the sun would be out, but what do you know, the most beautiful beach appeared out of the clouds & after a quick paddle, we sat at a bar & watched the sunset. So beautiful : )

There is still so many adventures to share with you, so stayed tuned for part 2..

Life At The Moment #62

Hello lovelies,

First of all, I'd like to apologise for the lack of posts! Most of you will already know if you follow me on other platforms, that I've been to Greece at the beginning of September on a once in a lifetime holiday & since I've been back for the past week & a half, work has been manic & helping James get sorted for the second year of uni has been crazy! Anyway, a quick update post to show you what I've been up too.

Before I went to Greece, I had to say goodbye to one of my best girls as she started uni this year. (She always complains I never feature her enough on here.. so here you go babe!) We had a lovely meal in the new steak house in our local town - the food was amazing! You can see by the size of my cheesecake up there! Feels so weird when a massive part of your life heads off to a different part of the country, but we've managed to keep in touch & seeing her last night felt like we'd never been apart. Baring in mind, it's only been two weeks & I miss her like crazy, it's going to be eventful waiting till next month now!

So as I mentioned before, I went to Greece! It was the first holiday I'd been on with James' family & I hope to say it definitely won't be the last. I'm going to do a full post on Greece soon, so I won't say too much, except wow.. : )

Chicken shows are coming to an end, but for one of our last ones, we decided to take our little duck Elsa. She's never been to a show before, but she won best Waterfowl! (best duck) We were so proud of her - you can see she's enjoying her bath before the show here!

I popped round to Cathy's for a girly night last week & also got to meet the new addiction to her family. How adorable is she?!

& finally, yesterday I had to say goodbye to my boyfriend, as he headed back to uni to start his second year. We went for a massive breakfast on Monday morning (we always seem to end up in that café the day before he goes..) & had a chilled day together, packing & sorting out the final bits for his move. He's back down a week on Friday, but yesterday it hit me that we have another year ahead of us of travelling, Skype & virtual hugs as opposed to driving down the road to see him everyday. Breaks my heart, but I know we're strong enough to do this, no matter what anyone says.

How have you guys been?
So excited to show you my holiday photos in my next post so keep a look out for that! : )

Bake Off!

Lemon drizzle cupcakes / Chocolate cupcakes

Hello lovelies,

You might have seen in my previous update post, I mentioned I'd been baking. Now first of all, can I just say, myself & cooking do not go well together. If you asked me to make dinner, you'd probably find yourself being served pasta or beans on toast. (This is why I'm grateful James did a cooking course recently..) However, the one thing I do like to do, is bake. I'm not saying I'm good at it by any stretch of the imagination.. (these cakes above actually came out of a box.. the shame I know!) but I didn't burn or undercook them, so I deme that a success. I actually had someone ask me for the recipe.. you should have seen their face when I said I'd bought it for less than £2 in a packet from Tesco..

I know a lot of bloggers love cooking & baking & I have to say, it does become addictive.. but I think I should stick to the basics so I don't kill anyone. I blame The Great British Bake Off, it makes you believe you can bake anything!

Do you like baking? What sort of meals do you cook?
