Red Trust
My mum sent me a link to this gorgeous lipstick, made to support The Princes Trust. It's a gorgeous colour & not expensive. Have you got yours yet? : D

Ermm..
Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. You know when you just have no inspiration & can't think what the hell to write about? That's me at the moment. Hopefully things will pick up this week though. Got any suggestions about things you'd like to see me ramble on about? : )
I had quite a busy weekend. My Grandparents' meal Saturday lunchtime was beautiful. For a starter, I had salmon on toast (it did have a posh name, but I can't remember what it was!) & for a main, chicken & roast potato's with red cabbage & gravy. Sooo yummy. My Auntie was the one with the camera that day, so I'm waiting for her to send the photos through so I can post them up. Saturday evening, I spent at the pub with my friends & then we went on to Shelleys (our very small, local club!) It was such a good night even if we did lose one of my friend's & found him passed out on some one's floor!
So today is a lazy day. I don't have work till half 6, then I'm popping round Leia's for pizza. 2 for 1 Tuesday. (y)
Hope your all having a lovely Tuesday & taking it easy like Honey. : )

Bourjois
Hello girls. Today was my first day on Box Office at work, it was a training day but I still got paid for it! I was mostly answering the phones & booking tickets for shows. I'm so excited about starting properly. I've got another training day next Friday, then officially start on Saturday 2nd April. : )
Yesterday was my Grandparents' 60th Wedding Anniversary. My nan was really excited about it, not only are we going out for a family meal tomorrow, (it's going to be really posh, think there's something like 6 courses!) but she got a card from the Queen! My nan loves the royal family, she actually looks like the Queen. She's got the whole white perm look going on. So when it arrived by special delivery yesterday, she was straight on the phone telling me, bless. Lots of champagne tomorrow I think.
Anyway, I want to show you this gorgeous nail varnish my mum bought me, as a congratulations present for getting box office.
I always moan about how useless some nail varnish brushes are. They are thin, sometimes get very clumpy & aren't very easy to spread evenly. Well, look at this brush:
It's alot thicker than the usual nail varnish brush you get, making it simple & easy to paint the colour on with one stroke. Depending on how hard you press, you can use it to cover your entire thumb nail or your little finger. When you push down on the bristles, they space out, allowing you to cover more of your nail in one stroke.
I'd describe the colour of this nail varnish as a pearl pink. (It actually matches my laptop - a pink Toshiba!) You can get it in other colours too, like this red. Superdrug are doing an offer on some Bourjois products at the moment, so check that out too. It dries amazingly fast as well. It is advertised as 50 seconds, I'd still give it another minute or so, but that is still amazingly quick for a nail varnish.
As I mentioned about my granparents' anniversary meal tomorrow, this nail varnish will compliment my outfit perfectly. I'm going for a black dress with a white bow over one shoulder. This nail varnish allows me to add some attention to my nails without taking away any simplicity from my outfit. What do you think?

Yesterday
Afternoon lovelies! Today is beautiful isn't it? I think it's warmer outside than inside my house at the moment, great excuse to go walking & taking pictures. Here is what I wore yesterday on a relaxing Sunday. (Yeah - farm girl at heart!)
I'm loving bird print at the moment as you can probably see from previous posts as well as this one. Oh, guess how much these shorts cost? ...£1! Down from £10! I just had to have them. They come with detachable braces, I can't decide if I like them or not, but I decided to pair it with this top & wellies. (So so so muddy where I walk my dogs as you can see!) They are actually so soft. Only thing I will say about them is they are a little big, I got them in a size that would usually fit me snugly round the waist, so I'd recommend trying them on before buying. Apart from that, I'm pretty damn happy with them.
How was every one's weekend? : )

My First Award!
Hello beauties! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been so busy! So Friday night was Comic Relief, did many of you watch it? My friend from work went, he was the one that high-fived Dermot! So funny. It was actually a really good show. My boyfriend came home on Thursday night & went early yesterday morning, so we were able to watch it together on Friday. It's so sad how some people have to live & how they survive. Makes your own life seem so surreal..
Anyway, I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to Sam, who awarded me my first blogger award! So here it is!
Right so the deal is I have to write 7 facts about myself & tag people to win this award. Well all you gorgeous followers, I tag you. Yes, all of youuu! You're all amazing & you all take the time to read & comment so I'd like to award this to you all as a massive thank you. : )
So here's my facts: (I'm a very boring person I know!)
1. I live with my parents in the countryside, I absolutely love it, but I want to buy my first house in a few years time, by a beach. I'm not fussy! Anyone will do!
2. I have to have five items of jewellery on when I go out. (Earrings, necklace, bracelet, watch & at least one ring)
3. I always plan my outfit the night before but always change my mind the next morning.
4. My celeb crush is James Bourne. Yes the one from Busted! Ever since I saw them live for the first time, he stole my heart. My dream is to meet him someday.. even thought I have no idea how I'd react.. probably be very embarrassing!
5. I got my first passport last year & went on an aeroplane to Spain last Summer with my boyfriend & it was the most amazing holiday ever.
6. I'm not career driven what so ever. If I have a job & I like it, that makes me happy. : )
7. I'm a perfectionist & will try & match & order everything. (Colours of an outfit, putting my DVDs in alphabetical order & planning out my meals for the day)
So there you are bloggers, hope you all had a good weekend. : )

Morning Star
I'm a little late with this post. I took these outfit shots on Saturday & totally forgot about them! Anyway, kind of continuing on from yesterday with the one photo, here are some more! Oh & I must apologise about my fringe. No idea what was going on with it..
I'm in love with this top. It's perfect for the weather at the moment. It's a jumper/top, but I love the length of the sleeves, keeps you warm but not too warm like a full sized jumper would & it cost £5 - score! Oh, & the tights are actually blue, they came out a strange colour in the photos!
& this is just for laughs. My dogs get annoyed with me for taking pictures! : D
Top - Primark £5
Shorts - Bay £10
Tights - Internationalle £1
Boots - New Look £22

Summer seems like it's finally arriving & with it, sunny dog walks with my friends. I just want to say a massive thank you to all of them! When my boyfriend & close friends from college went to uni, I felt totally lost. I hadn't been at my job that long, so didn't really have many close friends there.. till Leia & Darren came along! They listen to me moan, laugh (yes, I have popped Darren's ear drums before!) & are just generally there for me. So guys, I love youuu. : )
I also met my friend's dog yesterday, he's called Houdini & is a Japanese Akita. (Like a white husky) He is sooo fluffy & has so much energy, but is absolutely gorgeous. We took him for a walk this morning & he was trying to chase everything that moved, bless.
Right, enough sap. I'm in an awesome mood right now, my manager came up to me last night & offered me a promotion! (I'm calling it that because it's a more technical job than I do now, with more pay!) I'm so excited because i never thought he'd ask me! It's only two more days a week with my existing role, but that means I'll be working five days a week. (Not full time, but it's a start..) I nearly hugged him, I think he could tell because he backed away slightly when I started squeaking! Hahaha. I have work later tonight & he said he could start my training then. Yay!
Hope you're all enjoying the sun! : )

Dipped Nails, Take 2
Hello lovelies! Last night, I went out with a group of friends, some from work, some from my old school, some I've known since I was 10 & sort of merged them all together. They all got on really well, so it was an awesome night out. Also, one of my friends went on holiday with her boyfriend last week & he proposed! I was sooo excited. I spent the night asking to see her engagement ring every 10 minutes or so! It's gorgeous.
Anyway, here is how I did my nails:
You'd be right in thinking they look similar to how I've done my nails before, you can find that post here. I started off by using my pastel pink shade by Barry M for the first layer, (one of my first posts was about my pastel nail colours, go here to see!) & then I used my silver nail varnish, by Rimmel London to add some sparkle to the tips.
I love adding a bit of glitter to my nails, it instantly brightens them up, especially if you have a very subtle, nude colour as a base layer. My friend gave me the biggest compliment & said she thought I'd had them done professionally! I was flattered. : )
How is every one's weekend going? I'm off for a meal at my grandparents' tonight, then working tomorrow, what are your plans?

Scrub Scrub Scrub!
I know I'm a little late with this craze, but I wanted to post my review on it anyway! I've seen on quite a few people's blogs, they've been trying out this new product from Lush. It's a lip scrub that comes in three different flavours; Bubblegum, Mint Julips & Sweet Lips. I chose the Bubblegum one, mainly because the smell is gorgeous & it's pink!
So yeah, here it is:
I have really dry lips, (especially in Winter) & this product is designed to get rid of all the dead skin on your lips. It acts in the same way as a body scrub, simply apply it to your lips by moving your finger in mini circles to spread it evenly around & making sure you get all the areas which are dry. I usually apply it at night, mainly because if I'm asleep, I'm less likely to lick it off! It tastes & smells so nice, it's very tempting! It's made up of sugar, so is totally fine to eat (just in case you accidentally keep licking it off like me..!)
So I've been using it for a couple of nights now & I'm starting to notice a difference, especially when I wake up in the morning. My lips feel softer & smoother, but by the evening, I need to top up again. Which suits me fine to be honest. Most products last for the day, then you start all over again the next.
You can buy this product from any Lush store (have to be quick because they are selling out quickly!) When I went to buy mine, I knew I wanted Bubblegum & I couldn't see any in the pot, I asked the man behind the till & he had to search in the backrooms for some more, but I wasn't leaving till I was sure there were none in the building, or if there was, I was leaving with it. He came back looking flustered & gave me the last one! I was jumping around the shop! Seriously. : )
Have any of you tried this one or own any of the other flavours? I must admit I'm tempted to go back & buy some other bits & pieces from Lush. Anyone got any recommendations?

Only 40 Days To Go..
So lent starts today. I always try & give something up. (I always fail, but I'm determined this time to do it!) Problem is, I've picked quite a hard thing to give up, chocolate. This might not seem hard to some of you, but I seriously eat sooo much, it's insane. Everytime I feel like a snack, it'll be chocolate. Either biscuits, cake, a chocolate bar, chocolate mousse, etc. I'm just as bad with drinking tea actually, tea & chocolate is my heaven. : ) But I refuse to give up both!
It's really sunny again today, but still cold. Maybe I'm just wimp but I'm still wearing as many layers as I was 2 months ago!
What do you all think of this dress?
It's gorgeous right? I was browsing through the New Look website & found it for £30. I love it! The floral colours & style make it so Summery. Mmm.. that's another item to add to my list.. It's getting longer by the day. I'm starting to think I should have given up buying clothes for lent, that really would be impossible for me though!

If I Was A Rich Girl..
Hello girls! I had my ipod on shuffle & this song came on, totally forgot I had it.. but so relevant for this post! I've just come in from sitting in my garden with my dogs, reading Cosmo. It's so sunny again today, but still a bit chilly. Who really cares if I'm sitting outside in a jumper, jeans, spotty wellies & sunglasses though.. as long as it's sunny, doesn't really bother me how cold it is!
Right so I thought I'd post some of the items on my Summer wish list from Boohoo. I usually don't buy stuff online, because I always like to try it on first in the shops, but I just simply love this website. They've currently got 10% off dresses! So go have a look!
This is just some of my favourite stuff they are selling at the moment. The rouched jeggings are definitely top of my list.. shame it was my birthday two months ago.. ah well.
I did get to watch No Strings Attached last night, it was so good! Couldn't stop laughing the whole way through. I won't ruin it by telling you what happens, but I've just got to share this bit. He makes her a play list when she's on her period & it's got relevant songs on, like 'Bleeding Love' by Leona Lewis. When she's depressed in a scene, she's driving with that song blasting out her radio. Made me giggle! Definitely go see it if you get the chance.
Hope you're all having a good Tuesday loves! : )

Head scarf - Primark
Necklace - New Look
Body warmer - Charity shop (£5.99)
Afternoon girls! Please excuse these photos - still feeling slightly rough! I've just got back from town with two of my friends I haven't seen in a while, so was nice to have a catch up. Who likes my body warmer? I walked into a charity shop & saw it & fell in love. It's sooo snug, I feel like I'm wearing a full length coat. Anyway, some more stuff I bought today:
Charity shop - 99p |
Primark - £1 |
Bracelet - £1.50 |
I love how sunny it is, got my sunnies out & it felt gorgeous to be driving in the sun with my music blasting. I've nearly recovered from Saturday now (thank goodness) & I've got work later on. Don't think it'll be very busy tonight, but I'm going to hopefully watch No Strings Attached, which looks good. Anybody seen it? : )

Hanging..
So I got back from Shropshire about two hours ago. Omg. I haven't drunk that much in ages, little sensitive today. We only had two hours sleep, so I'm going to have an early night tonight, all refreshed for work tomorrow night. We had so much fun though. : )
Right, I wanted to post some little bits I got last Thursday in the makeup department.
Because Boots are doing the No7 offer till the end of March, I decided to use it on mascara. I haven't used this one before, but with £5 knocked off, it came down to £7.50 which is usually the price I spend on mascara. I've only tried it a few times, but I'm not completely impressed by it. The brush is huge & it doesn't give you any extra lift, volume or length that's out of the ordinary.
If you didn't already know, this month's issue of Glamour is giving away free Clinique gifts. I chose the lipstick, mainly because I have a huge obsession with lipsticks right now & I actually love the colour of this one. Have you got your copy? Which gift did you chose? I'd love to hear what you thought of them all. : )

Steptoe & Son
I love going out with my friends. Seriously, we have so much fun. We went out for a meal at Chiquito's - this is what we ate. I only took pictures of the starters, because the main was so yummy, when I got my camera back out, Darren & Leia were already eating! Anyway:
After we ate, we went to the Capitol (where I work) & watched Steptoe & Son. You might have heard of it, it was a show during the 1970's. To be honest, I hadn't heard of it, but the main reason we were going was to support our friend, James, as he was a lead role. He played the old man & his Dad weirdly enough, played the son. Seriously, we didn't really know what to expect, but we didn't stop laughing the whole way through! Soooo funny! If any of you get a chance, come check it out. : D
What I'm wearing: Shirt - vintage, Cardigan - Clobber, Belt & Skirt - Primark.
Amazing night. : ) Anyway, I'm off to Shropshire for my friend's birthday this weekend, so I'll be back again on Sunday. Hope you all have a good weekend. Loveeeee xxx
My starter - barbeque chicken wings |
Leia's - cheesy potato skins |
Darren's - nachos |

Great British Hairdresser
It's soooo cold today! I had to wear 2 tops, 3 jumpers, jeans & 2 pairs of socks when I took Honey & Harvey out. They weren't very happy about me dragging them outside either, but it had to be done. : D
Last night I started watching The Great British Hairdresser. Now, this wasn't exactly out of choice. Firstly, I used to watch Tool Academy at that time on E4 & the final was last week, so no more of that, (sad face) I wanted to watch Skins catchup at 11, so I needed something to watch for an hour & quite frankly, James Brown scares me. However, I was actually quite intrigued to see all the different hair styles, I mean, I thought getting a fringe was a big deal, but compared to how some of the hairdressers that hacked away at some people's hair, I was just glad I hadn't asked for a whole re-style! There was one girl who had gorgeous long hair down to her waist, she hadn't had it cut for 5 years & the hairdresser cutting it, shaved one side of her head! I took a couple of seconds to mourn the loss of her hair, it was beautiful. : (
Also, Jo Elvin is a guest judge, which I'm very excited about. She is the editor of Glamour. If you click on the link I just posted, it'll take you to her blog & the Glamour webpage. They have compitions all through March for free givaways, so check that out too!
Anyway, thought I'd post some hairstyles - don't you wish you had hair like this?!
