No7 Glamour Lipstick

What a busy week! How is everyone doing?

I'm sure most of you know that Boots are currently doing a voucher for No7 products, £5 off! So I managed to run in on Saturday & pick up this gorgeous lipstick.

It comes in the cutest packaging, I love the polka dots on the box, so pretty.

When you get your lipstick, you'll also receive this cute little note - just adds a bit of quirkiness to the product.

I have quite lot of dark lipsticks (except my Touch Of Magic lipstick) so I decided to get this colour, it's called Glamour & comes out in a pink shade. (Depending on how heavily you apply it, it's either a light or dark shade)

This is the first swatch - sorry it's not very good. The lighting was terrible!

I've tended to wear this lipstick during the day, it's a really nice sutle, natural colour. I tend to go for a darker, more vibrant shade if I'm going on a night out, but for every day use I'd definitely recommend it. I managed to get it for £7 with the voucher (£12 without), so definitely worth popping into Boots to get your hands on it.

I'm still having trouble commenting on some of your blogs, I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up to date with you all. I'm having a mad reading session tomorrow because I'm off to work now. Hope everyone had a good bank holiday weekend. What did you all get up to? : )

Raspberry & Blackberry

  It feels like forever since I last posted, even though it was less than a week ago! How is everyone? : D

 

  This is my gorgeous Hello Kitty Pete & Leia bought me back from Spain. They won it in one of those grabby machines you get on the beach. : ) So cute.

  Anyway, I went shopping on Monday & got these two gorgeous products, one's a shower gel & the other one a body butter from the I Love... range.

I literally love this product - it smells so gorgeous I actually want to eat it! I actually first smelt these flavours when my friend ordered a raspberry & blackberry drink from Costa! Ever since I found a product that smelled like it, I've been addicted. : )

You might have seen in my last post I did a review on Cocoa Butter Body Butter. This product is alot more.. moussey? Is that a word? Lol! It's more light & creamy if that makes sense. (I'm rubbish at describing products!)

This has a slightly stronger flavour than the shower gel but it just makes it even more yummy.

If you want to check out the other flavours have a look at their website. They say the products are mouth-watering.. so true! I'm tempted to get the bubble bath & lip balms!

Right my blog feed is literally backing up since Friday, so I'm off to read your gorgeous posts. Oh & people commented asking me how I found Pirates Of The Caribbean the other day. My opinion: it was exactly like the other three. I don't mean that's a bad thing, it just didn't jump out as the best one or the worse.. was just good. I'm seeing Water For Elephants tonight.. has anyone seen it? I've heard it's good. : )

Cocoa Butter Body Butter Review

  Hello girls. How are you all?

  Quick note to start & say Alan (my car) passed his M.O.T, so I can now drive him legally again.  : ) YAY.

  Right, you might remember me doing a post a while back where I showed you the Body Butter I got from Tesco. Sorry the review is slightly late, but I totally forgot I was going to do one! : D

  Here is the product:

  Now, I've only been using this on my face & some rough areas on my body where the skin is quite dry, I use a moisturiser on the rest of my body as it's a lot easier to apply than body butter, being lighter & easier to spread. Try not to use too much, (mainly because you only need a small amount) just enough to cover the area you've chosen to apply it to.

  I usually apply it after I've come out the shower or/and at night after I've taken off my makeup so it can soak in over night. (You can apply it in the morning, I just find it easier do to it at night)

  Result: After using it for a few days, my skin does feel alot softer & smoother. I've had a few compliments from the smell as well which is always good! : ) I love the smell of cocoa butter, if you've never smelt it before, TRY IT! Seriously, it's gorgeous.

  The product costs around £5. (I did get it half price in Tescos the other week, no idea how long the offer is on for though)

  I'm seeing Pirates Of The Caribbean tonight with my friends, it looks really good & I do enjoy the films, but I get so confused whats going on.. I know that sounds silly but when I think back to number 2 & 3 I can't even remember which bits are in which film.. hahaha. I think they're all going to be sick of me whispering "What's going on?!" every 5 minutes! LOL. : )

  Alan Carr (my car, like his name? ;D) has his M.O.T later today, fingers crossed he'll pass. He's a very old car, but I do love him. I'll take a picture once I've given him a good scrub later.

  Oh yes, I'll also do my review on my Cocoa Butter moisturiser sometime this week, I've nearly used it all up! So nice.

Shattered Nails

  So how was everyone's week? My friends flew off to Spain today & I just got a text saying they are lying on the beach sunbathing. I'm sooo jealous as I'm off to work in a bit. -sigh-

  Anyway, I've seen on quite a few of your blogs these shattered nails, I must say, I fell in love with them instantly! So I went out & bought the black pot last week.

  For those of you that haven't seen this before, its a new nail varnish by Barry M that allows you to create this 'shattered glass' look. I bought the black because it goes over most colours.

  First of all you need to chose a base colour (the blue on my nails) so the shattered effect can go over the top. I used Barry M's pastel blue as my base colour. So paint your nails as you would do normally & then once they are dry, apply a layer of the shattered nail varnish on top & watch it separate across the nail.

  The effect is almost instant & dries really quick!

  I must admit, once I'd tried the black, I loved it so much, I went out & bought the white & pink one too! I haven't tried either but I did paint my friend's nails yesterday with the pink over a black base colour.

It's Arrived!

  Hey girls, how are you all? I've just got back from a very successful shopping trip & lunch with my friend Gemma. It's so cloudy today, but luckily we didn't get rained on! 

  So anyway, about a week ago I posted saying I'd won Hayley's giveaway, well today it arrived in the post! I was stupidly excited & haven't taken it off all day. : D

60 Years!

  Hey girls, sorry it's been a while since I last posted. I've been so busy lately with work, my dogs & being ill over the weekend, however, I am in an awesome mood! My package from Ebay arrived this morning (a gorgeous dress with a belt which I'll post up soon) & my Auntie finally sent through the photos of my Grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary today, so here are a few. : )

  It was such a beautiful day & my grandparents loved it, which is what mattered the most. Right, time to catch up on your blogs. I Can Totally 100% Say..

  ..newspaper nails are not for me. I didn't realise how messy they are to do & my fingers stink of Tia Maria as it was the only alcohol I could find in the house, even after 10mins of scrubbing my hands they still smell. Urgh, I'm sooo not trying that again!

  Anyway, I managed to finally go swimming yesterday for the first time in ages, maybe since last year, with my best friend. We went quite late so it was lovely & quiet & we had a natter while being pulled around the rapids. (not proper swimming lengths - more like relaxing in bikinis!) We then went on to Tescos as a random trip & ended up buying jaffa cake cakes & strawberry cables. : )

  So while we were in Tescos, I managed to pick these two items up.

  The body butter was half price, so I think it was around £2.50 instead of £5 & the lipbalm was £1.99. My friend recommended the cocoa flavour & I love the smell of it. So gorgeous. I'll do a proper review on it when I've tried it for a week, to see if it actually makes any difference to my skin.

  Did anyone watch the final of Great British Hairdresser on Monday? I was so annoyed James didn't win. He so deserved it. >.<

  I also got a beautiful cardigan from a charity shop yesterday for £4.20, which I'm sure will be in my next outfit post. Right, I'm off to catch up on all your blogs & a bit of 90210. : )

Spring In My Step

  Sorry this is a quick post, I'm just off to work for the evening. I'm quite excited as I've got a few items on Ebay I'm bidding on so I'll probably be checking up on them at every spare moment! : ) & I just ordered the best present for my friend ever. I can't write what it is because he might see, but I'll let you know as soon as he's got it. Hope your all enjoying the sunshine & avoiding the wind!

Well..

  I have nothing specific to blog about today, so it's just a catch-up on random things that have been happening this weekend.

  Firstly I want to say a massive thankyou to Hayley, I won her April giveaway! I'm so excited, I never win anything, I'm not just saying that, its true! So I was so excited when she commented to say I'd won a beautiful swallow necklace. I'll post a picture of it up when it arrives. In the meantime, visit her blog, it's beautiful. : D

  So, I went out Saturday night for my friend's 20th, it was so good. We ended up going to the pub instead of the original bbq idea & shared a bottle of wine & a few apple sourz with lemonades. Yum! Her boyfriend was driving so they went home about 11, where as I dragged 2 of my best boy friend's out to our local club where we stayed until 2 in the morning. Basically, one of the best nights I've had out in ages. However I felt it yesterday morning, ready to start a 8 & a half hour day with screaming kids at work. Urgh, I swear my body is getting less tolerant to me drinking so much!

  I've started wearing my contact lenses again, my eye hasn't seemed to mind yet, so I'm slowly wearing them more & more.

  & lastly I want to say a huge welcome to all my new followers, everytime I log on & see a new face I literally squeal. Thankyou so much to all of you. : )
